  1. Can you explain what are you seeing exactly?
  2. RUFO-45 lamps are UV lamps, they only excite the phosphor labels to be seen at night. The MiG-19P only have white light lamp on the right.
  3. It doesn´t mean that DCS MiG-23MLA will be the Iraqi version, but that players will have the possibility as an option to mount these features on the aircraft.
  4. @KAKTYC_11 FM aerodynamic modeling of turn, climb and engine thrust parameters haven´t been changed since may 2019.
  5. The idea is to place a limitation at speeds above 1.000kph IAS for roll speeds, which is realistic for most aircraft. However, it seems that the limit of 90º/sec was too low and this will be increased in the next updates.
  6. The wing angle lever is akin to the gear lever. It has some grooves equivalent to the predefined positions of 16, 45 and 72 degrees, but you can actually put the lever in whatever position you like for any given angle. You know in what position the wing is because you have a wing angle indicator in the cockpit. Putting the lever in any position will make the wing to stay in that setting, it will not move unless maybe with very high G.
  7. Yes, I already answered to you that is most probable to be a code problem and that we are looking into this. Our coders have been working on all three aircraft these days, so as soon as they get into this issue I´ll let everybody know.
  8. Good read. Now keep in mind that the Libyan "MLD" is just a MiG-23ML with updated avionics. Most probably export MLA-2.

  10. The MiG-23 was designed from the start for the role of air superiority and as an interceptor, hence, being able to dogfight, escort, intercept fighters or bombers and even to be used as ground attack aircraft with respectable capabilities for the time.
  11. Since this talk is all about the MiG-23 I think that´s it is ok not call it OT. Now, regarding the 23 capabilities, I advice everyone here to go to Razbam Discord once again. There´s a good technical discussion over there and you can always ask any time you want. You also have the chance to talk in real time with developers there. The MiG-23 is certainly one of the most controversial aircraft regarding performance when it comes to aircraft enthusiasts form the west. Many judge the entire MiG-23 lineup by the lackluster performance if the very downgraded export MiG-23MS which was a MiG-21Bis in MiG-23 disguise. The original MiG-23 variants used by the Soviet Union and Warsaw Pact allies were much more formidable than anything that was exported to the Middle East, with the exception maybe of the MiG-23ML exported to Iraq, which got very good result in the Iran-Iraq war, shooting down many Iranian fighters of all types, including 2 confirmed and two more probable F-14 fighters. The version to come to DCS is the OG Soviet version with all the performance increases you could expect when compared to an export model. It is my opinion, after being able to read many manuals form different aircraft types that the MiG-23ML, that was later updated into the MLA and MLD late variants, is perfectly capable to go against 4th gen Sparrow armed opponents. The MiG-23MLA has clear advantages over all the other 3rd gen fighters and is only slightly inferior in avionics and some maneuvering performance parameters to 4th gen fighters.
  12. The purpose of that button is to jettison both ORO-57K rocket pods. The rockets at the time were known as ARS-57, later renamed to C-5. That´s why APC = ARS.
  13. @tugais It is ok to complain about stuff you think is wrong or that break your gameplay, no problem with that. That´s why I´m here answering such complains and giving timeframes if possible for the problems/bugs to be fixed. However, it is not helpful to bring the issue again and again once no new answer has been given afterward. Also, if you read this thread you will find "developers are evil, they lure people, all they want is money" type of posts, which are far from true. Now, this thread was made to show MiG-23 WIP pics. I need all of you to keep this thread clean from OT. thanks
  14. So, you believe that you were lured? I made clear myself, and I think several times, that the MiG-19S is one thing that I want to do in the future when time is available (after current projects) and that when done it will be free for MiG-19P owners. All this is true and remains the same as when it was written. It was never said that it would come soon or when it will be available because as you may guess, current projects are ongoing. What I did said was that the MiG-19S was to be included as an AI model with the MiG-19P, but unfortunately it was not possible.
  15. Fixed for the next update
  16. The performance issues in VR in the Caucasus map are not related to the aircraft/cockpit model
  17. Night mode: Flood light: Day mode: Day mode at night:
  18. You also have a weathered English cockpit which shares the same textures as the default Russian one
  19. yeah, I understand No idea why they decided to place it there, really. But as with all ergonomics, some will have no problem and others will.
  20. Sorry, but that´s your opinion then. I heard it and answered, but I don´t agree. As I told before, many that know about this reviewed the cockpit and liked it. You also have real examples presented to you that somehow you don´t think that look alike. You also have two more different cockpit liveries to choose as well, unless you also think that those are not good too.
  21. You know what´s the problem with painted stuff? That after sometime it turns a little hard to know which one is the material below that paint. Maybe you don´t know, but fighter cockpits get really weathered, again, really weathered and the paint get weird characteristics. If I show this part alone. Would you know which material is below the paint? If you tell me you do, sorry if it is hard to believe. Here you have the entire pic from where that part belongs: Another "concrete" cockpit example: Yeah, but that´s a museum/stored piece that is extra weathered, well, here you have one from an operational MiG-23 at the time:
  22. So, just to be sure, In your opinion these textures are Arma 3 modder level and not to the standard DCS requires? If that´s the case I´m sorry that you consider that. These textures were reviewed by several illustrators, photographers and pilots and they considered they were good and it´s why they were included. In any case we will try to improve even more for the MiG-23 so you can like them this time.
  23. Is this an habit? I came to realize that you´re always doubting on these aspects. Is there anything you think is wrong in the MiG-19 to always doubt of how accurate the modeling of systems and flight model will be in the MiG-23? If there´s nothing and accuracy of these aspects has been proved to be right once and again, why still the doubts? I just need to know, that way I can focus on those that care and avoid the people that like to run in endless circles.
