My cockpit looks nicer and I get 60 FPS instead of 40 FPS . Not bad in my book. Works for me in DCS, IL2 and Unreal Engine (Assetto Corsa Competizione). ACC was unplayable in VR for me prior to this combination. But I also think it is very system related.

Important to consider: SteamVR changes how it handles Render Resolution all the time. I am talking about 3816x3740 per Eye (SteamVR 1.11.11).

I just recommend it anybody to try it yourself. In the HP Reverb this produces an outstanding image quality combined with high and smooth framerates.

Snake oil, snake oil, snake oil ........ it is not! Holy Cow PD 0.8 && 300% SteamVR Supersampling are the sweet spot on my system. Thanks a lot for sharing. (Try it also with the other sim at your home. Amazing in IL2 as well.)

Mit diesen Settings komm ich bei PD 1.7 & AA doch nur auf 40 FPS (AA x2 ist einfach schön anzusehen, da haben mich die 40 FPS anscheinend nicht gestört. Bei PD 1.3 & AA sind es 45 bis 50 FPS, PD 1.3 flieg ich jetzt mal ein bisschen zum Ausprobieren

Ich zock 1.7 PD AAx2 mit meiner 1080Ti und der Reverb. 90 FPS sind was für Weicheier, echten Zockern reichen 45 ;-)

Du kannst die Reverb auch mit der 1070 nutzen und auf die nächste Generation Nvidia warten. (Überleg mal warum die RX5700xt so günstig sind.)

I enjoy testing the F16 and F18 and will get the modules soon, but I wondered why they were lacking in the long distance weapons segment after the F14 and the Phoenix. I read this https://www.popularmechanics.com/military/aviation/a27350643/f-14-tomcat/ and read a little bit in the relevant DCS forums. And jumped right into my newly aquired DCS F14. My third attempt at a case 1 recovery ended on the deck ;-). First carrier landing in a sim since 20 years, and first in VR. I am thankfull for this great bird and the opportunity to experience it in VR :-)

I like dk2 already and enjoy free flight and starting/landing with the rift. But for aircraft spotting you will need really high resolution. DCS is not only combat simulator for me. I enjoy free flight also. I am shocked ;-) how difficult it is to spot ac in the rift right now. Perhaps a better "enlarged" option or labels will be a VR workaround for spotting till resolution will get high enough in perhaps 5 years time. But for now: rift for flight 4k for fight

Oculus CV 1 too low res for dogfighting DK2 great flying experience. Resolution too low for aircraft spotting. CV1 resolution will be too low for spotting as well. Your opinion?

You made my day! Vista compatibility works for me too. Usually I reach 150 FPS with GTX 970 (75 while on ground) with high settings. What is the key to recenter the view? I think i am a little to small ;-)

It is worth playing indeed. It is not production ready and bugged,yes. I play on my monitor most of the time, yes. But worth playing it is, it is on of the best virtual reality experiences right now!

Turn off dpi scaling is the answer also in this case

I get better results during first try after I reboot PC. Tested (Fast Mission, "Clear" weather): Su 25, Bf 109, FW 190, KA 50, Su 27, A-10 C Wait 1 min after mission is ready and press then fly. Works for me most of the time now. FW 190 and SU 25 cockpit are really great. Very readable and you can move your head just in front of the instruments. Picture is a little to bright. Nearby passing Wingmen are a great experience. (I dont like the flickering of the rotor shadows in the KA 50) The Su 27 has got a great view!

I managed to enter Su25T and Bf 109 via quick missions several times. Su Cockpit is looking very good. Most of the time it crashes during loading screen.
