I like my shadows in the cockpit. I dont miss the the shadows outside. For now I fly without shadows because smooth 60FPS are a treat in VR. But I would like an option for cockpit shadows only in the future.

It is at least in VR and perhaps for people with slower hardware as well. Never dips below 60 in VR. Not optimal but worth a try if you can adjust.

Turn (all) shadows off and enjoy! Gamma down a little bit, you will adjust to the different picture quality. Give it a try and report if it helps if you like to.

I like the VR performance of the new patch. If you want 90 FPS all the time there are other sims with simple graphics that do that for you in VR. I prefer good visual experience with low FPS now and look forward to the hardware developments of the years to come. Sure all optimization that is possible should be done. I have settings with 60 FPS for singleplayer and I also enjoy multiplayer even if I have only 30 FPS on the ground.

Yes, it is a great joy to experience flight and the planes in DCS.

I think you need to restart even if you can change the mask size during the flight. I get different framerates after restarting.

The whole TPR Rudder bends quite a lot when you use it.

In this case the 2070S is a good option.

With my Reverb I use the 12GB video memory. Sure it will work with the 2070 Super too. But I think the 2070 S is quite expensive for its performance. What GPU is the OP using right now?

Yes an option ingame to switch between 2d and VR would be nice for mission editor. But it works quite well in VR. Sometimes for small adjustments I just use the mirrored image on the monitor. I only put my HMD on when I enter the plane.

Overclocking GPU does not do anything for my frames. l am CPU bound most of the time. 1080ti & 3600x

You can use SteamVR without Steam running
