think about license, maybe ED does not own the tech...if the area has only bushes and a couple of trees, that tech is not important quality<>profit wise. Speedtree is a fast rendering assets method over quality, don't know the details but thats how I look at it :)

who is stoping you to use tracknoir with IR leds/webcam ? I used it for a year now with every damn game, spot on and no big load on cpu. its like flying with hotas versus keyboard and mouse :))

try setting the turbulence to 25 m/s, wind at 2000ft, 20 m/s from N, wind at 5000ft, 50 m/s from N-N-E 20 degrees, wind at 10000ft, 75 m/s from N-N-W 340 degrees (add fog depth, rain)...just an example of how I set it for hotas warthog test (no autopilot, waypoints, >500k distance, TO and LA) . mess up the weather settings and don't plan too mutch, it must take you by surprise, have fun always !

yea its only a game, a pretty awesome one :) There are some mean spirited fellas but this is the world we live in . For me the forums look a bit all over the place, a lot of kids asking questions already answered in faqs and other posts, some old threads that belong to an archive . I don't think its that hard to restrict acces for the lazy people that rant for no serious reason .

Yea, a lot of nice things on the net, too bad the full awesome package is not available for now at a common sense price/quality . I'll endup with CH suite, fighterstick, throttle pro, pedals, supports easy customization. Maybe in the future with the new sims getting more adepts the market will focus on peripherals too.

SC is already a show, based more on lights, effects, flashy textures . A lot of things gameplay related are messed up, "dogfighting" is a bomb, "fps" bomb no.2 . To me is just Star Trek Online with cryengine and some extra modules, but still not finished, and I keep my old opp that SC ain't gonna appear soon and last at least the number of years in "developing". (the escapist, smart...) Just a unreal concept made by dreamers not developers, looks good on paper, simmers don't simulate on paper fortunatelly. The present and this decade tech cannot support such massive unoptimised/not baked content. Did not invest any $ on it, just time, my oppinion based only on videos and screenshots . (you don't need to jump off the cliff to know you're gonna die / I'm not Mr. Pessimist, just hate frauds and scammers )

The controller market is going into a wrong direction ... low quality/big bucks/config messups . I don't care if its printed RSI on the plasticky thing, if its an old hardware with new colors and shape, why bother ?! Even thrustmaster is doing better on the automotive simulation products, how many years have passed since warthog hotas was launched and still has problems and no new improuved products ... beats me !

Get 'em all as someone said before. I bought FC3 and su27 campaign after a few weeks playing with su25t in mission editor . Love the A-10 - too easy to kill enemys, su 25A is a downside if you're used to spin the Schval a lot. The fighters remain fighters, to fun to drop (you can attach smoke rockets for aerobatics ;) ), SU 27 cobra/carrier landing, F15 sick stall tremours/awesome hud clarity, su 33 refueling adrenaline, the Migs awesome to fly around - more stable than su 27 . I'll get a decent pc upgrade and controls cause I don't have any, and buy EVERYTHING :)) its worth it !
