Hi In Frankfurt, we can see cargos and container ships on the industrial harbour. But we can see plenty of little bridges across the river on upstream and downstream from the harbour. Just a question: How did these boats for coming to the harbour ? Have they wings perhaps ? Are they modern copies of the flying dutshman ?

You kwow that at the beginning of the post, I spoke about camping everywhere on Germany map. Sure, I admit that if you want to populate the Berlin's street, you risk to overload the gpu. But look everywhere on Germany map, you will see many campings based on the same model with a little lake, some tents and caravans, some vehicles and two hot balloons. All the life, except characters and I wanted characters to populate these places if I fly near them. On Gemany map, you have plenty of OTAN radar stations or russian military stations too and we have in the ME, all the military humans we need for use with. I just wish the same for all these civil little places, in the same manner. Of course, you will not put characters near a corner of the map, if you decide to fly on the opposite corner.

Ironhand I don't see any difference for FPS between loading a mission with civilians and a mission with soldiers. And most of civilians can only be statics, only for the visual but soldiers in a mission could have a role to play. And the triggers to stop moving characters when they're out the player sight can be used too, to not overloading the RAM ou V-Ram.

As you know, we have a new map and WHAT A MAP ! Before it was the Syria map my favourite but since Germany cold war, I'm only on this one. But Germany cold war map is split into 2 zones separated by the iron curtain ( And Berlin wall). And if I want to create missions with an aircraft flying near the iron curtain, I would like to fly safe if I stay above my own camp even very near the iron curtain, and flying at my own risks if I cross the iron curtain . And for that, I can't for now because the trigger zones can only be circular or quadrilateral. And the trigger zones in their actual possibilities can't fit the capricious outline of the frontier between RFA and RDA. And with polygonic trigger zone, I could.

I see some posts talking about performance. When I've begun this topic, I talk about civilians characters in the ME, not native on the maps. Everyone is free after that to use them or not in the missions he's creating and to choose his own balance between FPS and amount of details.

This argument is not available anymore since we have civilian official static air planes on the airport that could be targeted too. In the same manner we could have people. The war is the evil whatever it kills, civilian or soldier. If you think that ED is prudish to not take the risk to give players the capacity to kill civilian people, why do they have made official modules that are only civilian and unarmed like the Christen Eagle or the Yak-52, easy to shoot down in flammes by players ? And in the absolute, they can make these civilians totally invicible. Like I said at the beginning of this post, it would be to give life in DCS not death. And it's a call to ED but for the free modders too to make civilian people for the community.

Hi I have no words to say how I find the Germany cold war map awesome. This map is highly detailled and not only on the airfieds, heliports airports or military base but everywhere. But there's something essential missing from this profusion of detail: The life ! We can see campings with tents, caravans and legendary volkswagen Westphalia everywhere, we can see street of big towns empty of pedestrian life and it's as if a global pandemic has decimated humanity and it was the end of the world. ED, would you think that it would be the time to add various civilian characters as statics or walking in the ME to give life in your simulator, especially for this map ? And civilians aeronautical characters like civilian liners pilots or flight attendands and moving boarding brides would be welcome too. Dont' forget that you're selling helicopters too and that all your customers do not love to fly around mach one and high altitude at all times. I love flying in F-16 or F-18 but I love flying at low speed and altitude too and on the Germany map, in this case, life on the ground is cruelly missing. ED, remember what have done the succes of ORBX airports or airfields sceneries since years in Flight simulator. It's all these characters, humans or animals walking and giving life to these sceneries.

It's the same. If you use an e-cb, that doesn't work. The way I had bought Germany is to use my son's card because he doesn't use e-cb like me but his real physical bank card.

Hi Yesterday I've tried to buy Germany map by generating a e-cb as usual but my electronic bank card was rejected. I've opened a ticket to ED after having called my bank and my bank said to me that for them all was OK. But ED told me that it was a fault of my bank because for them all was OK and ED and my bank were rejected the fault on each other. In fact, listening the TV news, I've learned that this week-end, all the bank transactions in Europe are frozen until next tuesday. That's why the payment was rejected. So if you meet the same issue, you know why now

There's a long time that I tell that: This mod is one of the best mods ever done for DCS. It enhances sublimely the poor native weather of DCS. Once again bandit648: A big thank to you !

I've downloaded 2 zip files: -Massun92 Outpost Mod_V2.1 -Massun92-Humans Massun92-Assets old and I've unzipped them with 7-z as explained in this topic, but i don't find the files shown on your picture. HI I didn't find the answer on this topic but how to place other statics than planes or helicopters under the airbase hangars ? If I try to place vehicles or characters in the hangars, they're on the roof. If I put statics airplanes, they are inside. Thanks for help !

Since July that this post has been activated, we have seen a lot of update of DCS but nothing about that. And the worst is that if you create trigger zone with the excluding object trigger, the suddenly spawning boats aren't concerned and they still appearing suddenly. Many people are agree the Syrian map is the more beautiful map of DCS but it's really a shame to let this bug degrading a lot a such beautiful map. Hope that it will be fixed soon.

Hi Like the soldiers of the WWII asset pack, I would appreciate to use the carrier technicians and catapult operators as IA infantry with possibility to walk from one point to another on other place than carriers.

You know what, I'm giving up. That's exactly what I've already said and understand totally that you can't make every wish to comes true, especially if these wishes need too heavy times without money back in return and I'm agree totally with you for that. But if some of these wishes were very simple to realize with no need of time to realize them, I have difficulties to understand why you don't realize them. That's why I say that for me, this section of the forum is just here to give us the false feeling that ED is listening to us. Have a nice evening !

Yeah, you have mentionned it, I know. The problem is the number of years we had to wait for something you'll give us soon, surely ( I hope) in a better way than the mod of Bandit64 allows but a temporary solution similar to what he has done could have been the official ED temporary answer before what you'll give us in few times. I just hope that we will need'nt to wait too long until a day you will think that removing grass in a trigger zone is perhaps a good idea like ED just think recently that the multiselection of items with the copy-paste is a good idea wished by the community since years.

I understand totally that ED can't answer positively at all wishes. I understand that, like all the enterprises in the world, the goal of ED is to make money and that some of wishes here, particularly if these wishes needs time without money back. But, like I have highlighted by giving as exemple the amazing weather mod of Bandit64, some of the wishes could be easily granted and I think, perhaps wrongly, that the fact to remove grass in trigger zone is just more easy for a programmer team than greatly enhancing the weather like a single user has done for the community with just some lines in a lua file and that ED could have think to make this little file themselves in some minutes to please the wishes of the community wanting since years more options to set the weather than the poor options offered by default by ED until the next upgrade.
