Hi I don't know if it's the same for you but since the last update (2.9.0.47168) the command to salute the crew and launching the catapult doesn't work anymore. So it's impossible to take-off with supercarrier with the T-45. I've tried with regular planes (F-14 and F-18) and it's working normally.

I don't know if you've tried this map since the 2.9 in MT with DLSS on but it's an absolute disaster with the FPS. With DLSS I can have 60 fps over the Syria or the NTTR and 12 FPS with Normandy 2 in the same DCS session ( when it launchs without the freezes issue) IT'S AN ABSOLUTE DISASTER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Hi. When I push the center view button for VR, I have the green crosshair far from the little lens with yellow concentric circles. And when I move my head to put the crosshair on the lens, the yellow circles are going outside the lens. I've tried several position to calibrate my center view. Sometimes it's better and I have the green crosshair near the lens but not enough near to have the yellow circles staying centered in it.

Hi I've just bought the Apache yesterday and in VR, alignment is totally impossible. Hope ED will implant an auto-alignment.

I was just about to open a new topic but I think the issue I've noticed on Syria map has its place here: Many flickerings on the shores of the sea. No issue with other maps boarding a sea ( Caucasus, Hormuz, Marrianas,) but I have the issue with Sinaï map too -

Ok, with your explanations I start now but I still have an issue with electrical system. Impossible to start the avionics, even after an electrical reset. -

Hi My assignment is OK and when I use the key, I see the throttle moving forward like before. I don't understand what happens. -
Hi Today, I've just tried to start the F-16 like I do since months and it doesn't start: The power switch on Batt The jet fuel starter on Start 1 I wait the RPM coming just above 20% and I release the Throttle cut-off and ....nothing happens. The RPM stays around 20%. Before, the RMP was increasing to 60% after releasing the throttle and the engine was on. Now the engine doesn't start. Help needed please !

Hi Thanks for your answer. As I'd previously said somewhere, the real gazelle needs 2 persons for its crew. A pilot and a weapon operator. Us, in no multiplayer mode, we are alone in the virtual cockpit of the Gazelle and the choice of auto-hover to take the weapon officer's seat is a good idea to hide the helicopter behind something to be safe from enemy fire and just lifting to fire the Hot missiles. For now, even if Polychop has highly improved the realism of the Gazelle, and it's a very good thing, they didn't fix the auto-hover functionality like it was before and for me, for now, the Gazelle stays in the hangar because I'm not able to use it in fight like before. We don't know when Polychop will decide to fix this issue and it makes me very angry.

Hi ! The changelog speaks about an auto-hover improved but for me it's always the same, I can't have a stationnary flight for using the joystick to design the target, like I was doing before. And I must press rudder all of the time. What I'm doing wrong in the settings to not have the gazelle keeping a good stationnary flight, when I'm switch at the weapon officer place ?

Some here are speaking here about trimming the helicopter for using the missiles HOT: In first, even well trimmed, It's impossible to use the same joystick after for pointing the targer. In 2nd: In the real Gazelle, the crew are 2 persons. One for piloting, the other for managing and using the weapons. Us, behind our computers, we are alone ( excepting in the share cockpit mode on multiplayer). So the auto-hover fonction was here to compensate the fact that we are alone. For me, for now, the Gazelle is totally out of fonction until the return of the auto-hover function.

I use one joystick for piloting and for targeting. How can I do now to use the joystick to point the target and piloting if we haven't stationary function anymore ?

No I havn't read. So how can you use the officer place if you can't stabilize the helicopter ?

Hi The pdf indicates that the yaw trim goes to the right when the scroll wheer turns in the clockwise direction. So I've made shortcuts on my coolie hat and when I assign yaw trim to the right, I see the scroll wheel going to the opposite direction. So where is the truth ? In fact, the planes goes to the left when the scroll wheel turns in the clockwise ? There is a mistake in the joystick affectation menu ? There is a mistake in the pdf ?

I didn't say that they have the same FM. I've just said that for the illusion, they can give the same FM to IA.

Hi. I have the Syria map, the NTTR map, the Hormuz map, the Mariannas and of course the Caucasus map, and I've just bought Normandy 2. But if all is graphically quite fine on most of these maps, I have a big flickering issue with the Syrian map in VR ( I havn't checked in no VR mode). All street lights along the roads are flickering, the edge of the roads are flickering, some buildings are flickering, many ground marks on airbases are flickering. If I had an graphic issue on my computer, all maps would flickering and not just one. Hope you'll find a solution

Sorry ManOwar, but it's for the visual. Sometimes the IA of DCS has so strange unrealistics behaviours that are we really seeing the difference if a Lancaster has the same flight model than a B-17 or if a JU-88 flies like a Heinkel 111 ? But we're seeing the visual difference and this difference is important for ambience and realism of this period . So it's just a question of view models and I don't think they need months to create a new visual model and giving it a flight model of a similar plane. We wil not see the difference in fight. I just speak for the IA, not for the flyables planes. I think that the customer buying this map has the rights to use it with many items and planes from these times. Can you imagine buying this map if ED hadn't create some warbirds to use with it ? So, Ok , there are a few warbirds to use on this map, and happily the more famous, the Spitfire, is here, but plenty of others are missing to give to this map, the realism it deserves. Perhaps ED should begin to create these missing planes, only if IA, before selling this map. I've just read the message of Silver Dragon that he posted while I was writing this one. You speak about Hellcat ? Imagine that if ED does a pacific WWII map, they willn't need to create the Corsair, the Zero, the Betty and many US and japanese aircraft of this conflict to make the map interesting ?

I wasn't aware about this commercial and copyright war but for the customer we are, it should be not considered. Just hope that ED will extend their WWII asset pack to give us the capacity to use this map for all kind of missions of the WWII really happened on this land ( defending London against the blitz, V1 hunting, bomber escort, shelling of german facilities before the D-Day) and all the kind of missions which were happened during these dark years. Just an real anecdote when sometimes, humor could had its place in the war: The germans had made a false airbase with dummy wooden aircraft, to try to mislead the english and US airforces from attacking the real airbases. Then one day, the english aviation had attacked this dummy airbase with....wooden bombs. Just to say to germans: "don't keep taking us for idiots !"

Nobody is saying that but the logic yes. We have a map for the WWII. One of the highest moment of this war was the battle of England, from July to October 1940 ans the blitz in May 1941. No need of winter textures. Then after we have the D-Day and yes, at this time, the Luftwaffe wasn't as very efficient as in the first times of the conflict. But why creating a so interesting map just for a short period of the WWII ?

But Ok this map is calling Normandy 1944 but this map is made to replace the channel map and the Normandy map. And even if ED has called this new map 1944, it is supposed to be used during all the conflict concerned by this map, from England battle to the liberation of Paris. And at the beginning of the conflict, these bombers were here. Same answer to DD-Fenrir for who I read the message just after my answer.

Hi I've bought this map and until here my only link with the WWII in DCS was the P-51 Mustang. So, having IL2 BOS on my computer and using it very very rarely, I've decided to uninstall it and buying this new map for DCS for when I want to play a WWII flight simulation. I've bought the asset pack too and my first feeling is that there aren't bombers IA enough. Just B-17 and AN-20 for allied forces and JU-88 for axis forces: It's poor, very very poor. Especially for the axis force. The sinister legentary Stuka isn't here, the BF110 isn't here, the sinister legendary Heinkel 111 well known by londoners, isn't here. The D-Day gliders aren't here and the legendary Avro Lancaster isn't here, ( I know, a DCS user is creating it but isn't on line yet), the Beaufighter isn't here, the V1 and V2, the first military drones of the History aren't here, some famous english fighters aren't here, like the Hurricane and the Tempest and I think that it would be ED role to add enough IA WWII aircraft into the asset pack, to give to this map a real WWII ambiance and currently we are far from the mark. The only missions we can do are bombers escort missions or ground attack for people having bought the P-47. So for the landscape: I find that Paris look like a big province town. Too too much trees, some monuments are missing: The Bourbon's palace ( national assembly) , the Beauveau place with police ministry which was the Kommandantur of Paris in the dark years, the Crillon Hotel and I havn't seen the Versailles castle. For London, I don't know, but the most english famous airfield of the war, Biggin Hill is missing and it's really infortunate for this map. I don't know if a factory near the Thames at London west , made famous years later by Pink Floyd, had just 2 chimneys at these times, but on the map, it just have two chimneys. That's what I can say for now, for this map.

To add to my previous message, it's a little bit more complicated. My DCS is heavily modded. A long long time ago, I had prepared for the Caucasus, a lot of airbases and airfields models including officials DCS items and freeware mods, and when I wanted to create a mission I was using these models. The missions I have already done with these models are working properly yet if I don't try to modify them. But if i try to include some of these models in a new mission, the mission don't launch or don't save and its value in bytes is o. I have identified what models I'd made were causing issue if I tried to use them in a new mission, but If I try just to change the plane in a mission made already with these models, the mission works but the terrain datas are false and that's what I've made with the F-16. I took a old mission for the Mirage 2000, heavily loaded all around the map with all the models I've made and I've just replaced the Mirage 2000 with the F-16 and tha's why it was impossible for the INS to work properly. I've noticed that it was even impossible to set the altimeter of the F-16. This one indicated me a false negative altitude, even on the maximum set (31mm/hg). So in fact, I was doing the mistake to not press enter at the good times during alignment but after that, when I've tried on NTTR map and that the HUD was displaying the distance to the waypoint after a long alignment and wasn't displaying it on a Caucasus mission, I understood that the issue whas caused by the map and all I had put on it. Since I have erased the models causing issue and replaced by the new ones I've made ( Sochi and Senaki) and all became normal.
