  1. Great to hear and thank you! It is nice to see support for this from members of the ED team!
  2. That thread and the tracks are with wind present. My tracks show that I am experiencing left yaw on takeoff with no wind, clean jet, no pylons.
  3. Have my tracks in post #38 of this thread been reviewed? Is the left yaw on takeoff accurate behavior or is this a bug? This thread is still listed as [CANNOT REPRODUCE] which makes all of this seem like it's either an issue on my end or accurate behavior.
  4. I think it was determined to not be realistic and thus not implemented when this was brought up for the Hornet. While I agree that it wouldn't be realistic, it is very useful in a simulation environment. There are a lot of things that we don't feel or sense while flying at a desktop PC and having options to compensate for this is always a plus.
  5. TM Warthog stick with zero curves and deadzone, TM T.Flight rudder pedals with +50 curve and 5 deadzone.
  6. +1 1440p monitor here...brightness and contrast seem low, resolution seems low as well. Hopefully it's just a placeholder until the artwork gets updated/finished.
  7. Take a look at the following thread, maybe you are experiencing the same issue. I have not noticed any yaw on taxi, but I do have a left yaw on takeoff. Upload a track of the behavior if you can to that thread. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=251375
  8. The fuel flow is a WIP, but will addressing that issue fix the afterburner behavior, or are they two different issues? Is the low fuel flow because we are actually not getting full thrust? If that is the case, then we should see a boost in performance as well, which will then address concerns that the F-16 is underperforming.
  9. Great post and thank you for the explanation. It all makes sense when you put it like that and hopefully this will ease some of the "heartburn" during these early stages.
  10. My apologies, I had the 476th vFG Range Targets installed. I have updated the original post with new tracks.
  11. It is very fun and I am thankful and excited to finally have the F-16 in DCS. However, it is in very rough shape right now, even for early access. ED seems to have dropped their standards a bit as far as quality. Hopefully the first patch or two will quickly address all of this and we will see the F-16 brought up to the high standards of quality that other modules have shown at their early access release.
  12. Left yaw on takeoff still present... I am still experiencing left yaw on takeoff. Clean jet, no pylons, no wind. I have attached two tracks showing the behavior, one with AB on takeoff and one with mil-power. F-16 left yaw test AB.trk F-16 left yaw test mil pwr.trk
  13. I am seeing the F-16 yaw to the left on takeoff as well. I have made sure that all controls are centered and calibrated and then used rctrl+enter to bring up the control indicator which shows everything centered. I even unplugged the rudders, but is still yaws left every time on the takeoff roll. I have a deadzone of 5 on my rudders as well. Jet is clean, no pylons.
  14. It would be nice to have a cold and dark F-16 start with the knobs already set to SQL...for now, I just have it as part of my startup checklist.
  15. In the manual, it's states that we should trim to an angle of attack of 11 degrees; however, in the landing video tutorial from Wags, he never trims it. Are we to actually use the trim on the stick to get at 11 degrees AOA like what is done in the Hornet?
  16. There is binding in the controls menu that let's you assign a button to toggle the AB detent on and off. I forget the exact name of it, but it's great for those of us without a actual physical detent on our throttle.
  17. Wags and ED have stated that the model, textures, and artwork are WIP. I am sure when all is finished, the F-16 will be at the same quality as the other planes. Personally, I think the F-16 wouldn't seem so rough in it's current early access state if it looked better, but we will get there eventually.
  18. It's been in Early Access for two days...sure,.it's a bit rough but let's give ED a chance here before worrying and just be thankful that we finally have the F-16 in DCS. I am thinking (and really hoping) that the pace of improvements and new features will be faster than previous modules.
  19. It feels very natural and comfortable to me...and of course is realistic. I have desk mounts that I have adjusted to best simulate the actual stick position as closely as possible. It just might take getting used to.
  20. Thanks for the quick help! Yep, that's it...was literally right in front of my face!
  21. I am sure this is virtual pilot error on my part, but I set up a mission at Nellis with the F-16 cold and dark...I run through the startup checklist but the HUD symbology never shows up, just stays blank. Any ideas? I haven't seen any other posts about it, which leads me to believe that I am missing something; however, I can't find a specific step in the checklist or switch that turns on the HUD.
  22. The wheel axis didn't work very well so I use the wheel for the HMCS knob and then use the paddles for antenna elevation.
  23. I have the same throttle and experience the same behavior. What I think is happening is that when the AB detent button is not pressed, the sim is still treating the physical movement of the throttle as it would if it was engaging AB. So, that last 1/4" of travel would be the AB engaging but with just mil power, it is wasted physical movement.
  24. +1 Hopefully we see this implemented soon!
  25. This is a very important feature for those of us without a physical AB detent on our HOTAS. I am anxiously awaiting to see what ED implements? How does Heatblur do it? Other than hearing a sound when the detent is reached (while it is very helpful, has been determined to be unrealistic), have they implemented something else?
