Are you just trying to troll us??¿?¿?¿:huh: quite hard to fail TWICE posting youtube videos references...Anyway, I don't know what are you talking about...mirage 2000 does in fact characterice for a very sharp roll controll, really the oposite of what your are saying. If you use videos to "support" your comments, here is mine to support my comment: at 35s exactly look how sharp/abrupt the stop of the roll is (there are plenty of times in the video where this is like that): Even without watching the stick, Im pretty sure this is how the plane (its FBW) will fly this plane. Also, this is greatly dependant of the speed of the plane...at lower speeds, sharp controll is much less possible which already happens in the DCS m2000 so please, elaborate. thanks!
  2. This, I think 2.2 FM is pretty much perfect (or as perfect as it has been EVER)...drag feels correct to me in all moment as well as everything else though I'm not a mirage 2000 pilot :P

Hi, despite I don't own the Harrier module yet, as I want it to be feature complete before purchasing, I don't know why Razbam added that blue tint to the canopy as it is not realistic (I guess its due to not having a own file only for the diffuse color as other planes)... also, for some reason, the plane looks too matt (like lacking specular maps) even compared to some screens in the gallery so I decided to make a little "cosmetic" pack for it changing some of those things like canopy glass, reflectivity, and a few more.   4. Yeah, water is so much better now...the only thing remaining imho is that beaches need much more waves breaking (more white foam) even if there are very few white caps but other than that its a massive improvement!

OMG!, something new I just noticed is that in NTTR, now if you chose a different month of the year (not the default june) the sun shadows on terrain are CORRECTLY PROJECTED!!!!...that's great because we have now kind of "seasons" for NTTR. Tested a dusk in february at 16:30 and the map feels like totally different now, even the colors of the light feels different!...this+casting terrain shadows on planes and cockpits are great additions!. Having the same projected shadows was boring and made the map look always the same...not the case anymore!:) Thanks a lot for this!!:thumbup:

Thanks for your help guys!...finally managed to fix this mess...the problem was in the shadowmap folder of the nevada clipmaps...luckily it is the smaller one so before uninstalling the whole nttr map I decided to delete that folder as its one of the affected by the increased resolution mod...however, I cant understand why clipmaps were messed by changing a config file :huh:...shouldnt it be cured just by using the default file?... Anyway its running fine again so far...after deleting that folder I ran repair and all seems to be fine now. Thanks again fellas!

I have just revert back to the latest 2.1 version, deleting LOTS of .dll files which are causing problems according to the crash dump, refreshed metashaders folder, fxo foler, etc...the problem PERSIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!W T F?????????????????????????????????:cry_2::cry_2::cry_2::cry_2::cry_2::cry_2::cry_2: How is this possible?¿?¿?¿? the mod even worked before in the 2.1 version... I'm really worried right now, as it looks like if I uninstall, after all the hustle, the problem will persist...PLEASE, I NEED SOME HELP HERE!!!! thanks!!

Thanks for your help mate, I forgot to mention that after uploading the logs, I already thought about deleting that file and repair but didn't work :(...looks like some other terrainoptions41.lua dependant file is stuck with bad data on it but which one?...even deleted small files here and there and then restored but the problem persist...wow, what a mess for changing a damn file :cry_2: Normandy works just fine. I have a 6mb internet connection so deleting Nevada would be a huge task. Thanks for your help man! Hope someone can help me to fix this.

EDIT:thanks cthulhu68, cleaning up had some side effects iirc so not sure if I want to try that unless its absolutelly safe and nothing is lost..also, if repairing didn't work I don't think cleaning can make any difference as it looks like something was edited somewhere with bad parameters so cleaning would do nothing I guess)

Hi!, after testing 2.2 for a few hours, I decided to install my mods...all went well except for one of them...I use to edit the "terrainoption41.lua" file to make Nevada to have sharper terrain shadows by increasing both textureSize and updateStep parameters (8192 and 256 respectively)...I have been doing this since long ago for 2.1 version with no problems. However, in 2.2, after editing those values in this file (it's not exactly the same as in 2.1, now there is a different line "switchoffAssetRuntimeSurfaceDetails = 0;" instead of "switchoffAssetSurfaceDetails = 0;" as before in 2.1) the game ALWAYS crashes whenever I try to load a Nevada mission or loading the mission editor with Nevada map... Thing is, I saved a back up of the original file so I put it back in its place and the game still crashes every single time I load ME in Nevada or load a mission in Nevada!!:doh: I tried with a new metashaders folder, as well as a new "DCS.openalpha" folder, repairing the game, changing settings, and nothing works!...I have no idea what the hell happened nor why restoring the original file doesn't fixes the problem but I basically can't start anything using Nevada map :huh: . It worked no problem in 2.1 and to uninstall it simply restoring the original file worked perfect...now something seems to be stuck/saved somewhere that prevents everything to get back to normal. The reason of the crash btw, is that both RAM and Pagefile skyrockets to 100% and then DCS crashes :doh: I'm quite worried right now to be honest as nothing I did worked...hope you guys can help me to fix this. Thanks a lot!

Also, forgot to mention the new sounds for the planes...it's a MASSIVE improvement!!, tried A-10C, F-15, SU-33 and SU-27 and I had a blast crancking up the volume :D, much more realistic sounds, closer to how real fighter airplanes sound. Also, smoother transitions between different sounds though there is still some work to do as sometimes the transitions still being too hars but at certain angles (which btw now affects much more dynamically to the sound) they are still not seamless, but overall AMAZING improvement to sounds. Doppler effect feels also much more refined and there is some great DEEP BASS (close to 20hz) which makes you feel the plane over you head and rattle your theeth :D Really looking forward for more improvements (would like to hear even more mid frequencies roar and higher SPL at higher distances). Nice work in this last patch!.
  17. I can't believe this is real, and after all the week with the game of the clues...EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED! I thought it was a joke, and you even stopped mig-21 updated for this?¿?¿?:doh:
  18. What I have noticed so far: -Deeper blue sky (much more realistic now) as you climb, just like in real life. Also adjusted sky color. -Improved haze (not the one in the ME). -Horizon line finally smoothed (better horizon haze). Much better now, no more harsh line between sky and land though needs some refinement (thicker smoothing line imho). -Gamma changes. Now there is much more contrast between light and shadows which is great for cockpit and the whole visuals in general. 2.2 gamma sweet spot. -White caps are finally fixed AND IMPROVED!!!!, A LOT!!!!...they look just fantastic now. From 1 knot to whatever you want for wind speed (I tried up to 25 knots). Smoother animation and much slower which is amazing and looks realistic and whats more, now white caps are ALIGNED to wind direction!!! and this even affect to how the white caps look (faster, lower, bigger, waves in the shore, etc.). Also, I'm pretty sure they improved the scale problem with them as now, when you climb they look very small and proportional to altitude. I woud love if waves breaking into the beach would be much bigger and reach further away in the distance though but incredible improvement in this regard. -Sea color improved. (though probably inverted because coast color is blue and deep sea is green, I think it should be the opposite). -Clouds. New (temporal) clouds added. -Clouds shadow on water. -Terrain mountains no longer are "transparent" at dusk/dawn. -Improved terrain shadowing (Nevada). -Now terrain cast shadows in planes. Try flying low at dusk near to the ground under a mountain shadow and you will realize the plane is shadowed in both external and cockpit views. -Further away objets rendering distance. -Clear performance improvement!!!!!!!! -Color corrections. -Improvements in Normandy textures (new ones at certain places) -River deltas in Normandy ?¿?¿?(they look odd yet so I guess they are not finished). -New explosions (only rockets I think). Still very wip. -AI has some issues as already posted here (they dont' take off for instance). Maybe I left something out of the list so please, let's comment what else they included. So far enjoying the update (probably the best in a long time) Thanks!!

  21. -Flat shadows restored. -Trees shadows will not disappears at some view and distance. Was this even an issue in 2.1 version?? or they just copy pasted from 1.5.8 changelog? just curious.
  22. After all this thing of the hints and such, if it turns out not to be a mig-29 (which many hints pointed quite well) but a civil biplane, well we better call firefighters already...disappointing won't be enough to express my feelings.
  23. If it's a mig-29 I will just scream like a little girl!! (in the most pure and legit way of happiness) :)
