This is due to infrasonic bass frequencies, I have mentioned it several times...usually, human hear goes as deep as 20hz, below that, at enough SPL, you will literally FEEL rather than heard anything. In real life you can be blown away by 130db of pure ultra deep bass (down to as much as physics goes) and that's what makes planes sound so "especial". ..problem is you will need a real quality subwoofer in order to achieve good spl at those frequencies (90db at least I'd say),clean output (no armonic distortion) as well as probably some good calibration of your room. In my PC I have a sub that goes as low as 20hz and with the new sounds there are several bass notes that are not very audible but make my whole room to ratle, just like you would expect irl. Also, the bass is very clean (low distortion) which is great to make it feel real if your sub can handle it. The new sounds seem to be coming very well and are a great improvement over the old ones in terms of REALISM. There are some things I would like to get improved for the Hornet (or every plane in fact) like much more roar (cracking sound) and higher sound level far away. I literally, want to get blown away with the sound :D ...let's see what they are preparing for us in future patches.

** F-14 Road to Release + Christmas Update!! **
Ala12Rv-watermanpc replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Thanks for the update, though I expected some actual F-14 external model images to be finally released, a bit disappointed for this and makes me wonder why you can't show it yet but its ok. All seems to be going very nicely and the Tomcat will probably be the top module for DCS. :) Thanks and Merry Christmas to the Team! -
I have to thank ED for the clouds in the recent updates
Ala12Rv-watermanpc replied to hannibal's topic in DCS 2.9
Could you give us some info on how to use the dynamic weather to have an area filled with clouds while at the same time other without any cloud please?, I have seen this in some videos but have no idea how to achieve that... thanks!! -

Explanation of all numbers/letter on radar screen please?
Ala12Rv-watermanpc replied to D4n's topic in M-2000
Actually it happened to me yesterday! Mig-29 head on, same altitudes, 4 lines centered from my altitude, HFR, 60º azimuth (don't remember distance but I guess something like 60/80 miles or so at the start)...after 7/8 minutes trying to find him nothing showed in my radar screen...then it apeared on my 6. Im pretty sure something odd happened as after starting the mission several times, I could find him always but that time I couldn't. -

Ala12Rv-watermanpc replied to hannibal's topic in DCS 2.9
Yeah, noticed the same...also for the clouds shadows, they flicker and appear/disappear as clouds do the same. Sometimes clouds shadows are projected upwards which is another bug I already posted long ago. But they are miles away of the older ones, thats for sure!!...can't wait to see the real "NEW" ones  -
Well, I can see something MUCH more different in DCS respect real life...the nose WON'T drop no matter what. I think thats a much more critical "issue" than anything else imho. Once the plane stops in the air and starts falling, it does in an impossible way, keeping the nose up at whatever the angle you leave it and spinning. As I said, this is the LAST thing to fix in the FM, other than that FM feels AMAZING! Hope Razbam can give us the icing on the cake with this.;)

Ups, sorry, thanks for the correction!

It is yeah, though not easy to find a picture where you can see it (I guess because it doesn't make many displays anymore, at least not other than "Delta Couteau")...better way to notice it, is watching the few old videos of displays. Of course is not as pronounced as other non-delta planes but its there. Good thing is the kind of flex in the m2000 seems to be very "stiff", I mean not much "wobble" if any, so maybe is somewhat "easy" to implement as an animation at certain g conditions.

Hi, after looking for a m2000 template, I found this one: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=158552 but it seems to be very limited and can't even remove decals so I wonder if there is an official or a more complete template for m2000 enywhere as I can't find it which is surprising after how fast the Harrier one was released almost inmediately with the plane. thanks!
-
Ok, missed that, thanks :)...also says realistic afterburner, so I guess it is in the works but what about wing flex?, its an effect I personally love...any plans on this? thanks!!
-
Nope!:D...imho that's the last thing remaining (because I would like this to be properly implemented). thanks!

Hi guys, just wonder if it would be possible to add an axis for a function in DCS, in particular for the external zoom...for some reason, it is available for internal zoom but not external so I would like to know if someone knows how to make possible to assing an axis to external zoom also. I did some 3 positions switch abstractions so maybe it can be done in a similar way for an axis?¿?¿ Thanks!!:)

Hi dudes! Just wonder if Razbam is planning on adding both wing flex and over wing vapour for the M2000... Despite being a delta wing, according to videos and photos, it has some "big" flex at high G, especially noticeable near the wingtips, and I would love to see this implemented in the razbam module...same goes for the vapour over wing. Could someone from Razbam tell us if this is going to be implemented at some point? Thanks!!

Yes, when trying tail slide, it feels like the FM is not capable of it...I know thats not a proper combat maneuver but say it happens to you in a dogfight, then you are dead because that behaviour is out of the FM scope?...all ED planes have this correctly modeled so I expect the same from Razbam. Even if the 2000C is not capable of doing it due to engine/safety limitations, it doesn't mean the nose shouldnt drop down when the plane hangs in the air. I would love to have some kind of official statement about this :) Other than that, I'm really enjoying the new FM. Yesterday, I made a display and then watched it in the recordings as espectator using a custom camera shake and I was really impresed how realistic it behaved  Thanks!

Amazing job KIZIR!, thanks!!

Yes, someone said that a few pages back, but thing is...why we can't perform it in DCS?, I mean, even if its dangerous in real life and such, as you said, there are some videos where you can see pilots performing it but when trying it in DCS the plane FM behaves VERY odd and unnatural...Other planes in DCS with advanced FM can perform this maneuver so why the m2000 behaves so "scripted"once you do this?, the nose doesn't even come down. thanks!
-
You mean the "tail slide"?...if so, yes, I'm also interested in knowing why we can't do it or wht this m2000 version can't do it...
-
As others have said, this is exactly what FBW is suposed to do...also, I KNOW how pilots compensate inertias of the roll by fast counter-moving the stick in the oposite side so generating roll in the other direction and making the plane to stop rolling very sharply, but once again, this is much less needed (or even not needed at all) in the mirage 2000 as thats one of the things FBW will do for you. About trolling I mean your videos...which btw you still not fixing...

But what then with all the skins, missions, controls config, settings, etc. and other things I have installed in 2.2?...I have quite abandoned my 1.5 version, now I will have to mess with it to make it catch up with my 2.2?...can we have also an update for the 2.2 to 2.5 please?. thanks!

Canopy glass blue tint and other things.
Ala12Rv-watermanpc replied to Ala12Rv-watermanpc's topic in AV-8B N/A
Yeah, I guess 2.5 will have much more refined graphics, guess also the harrier will benefit from them...meanwhile I decided to share this little mod. Thanks guys! -
Are you just trying to troll us??¿?¿?¿ quite hard to fail TWICE posting youtube videos references...Anyway, I don't know what are you talking about...mirage 2000 does in fact characterice for a very sharp roll controll, really the oposite of what your are saying. If you use videos to "support" your comments, here is mine to support my comment: at 35s exactly look how sharp/abrupt the stop of the roll is (there are plenty of times in the video where this is like that): Even without watching the stick, Im pretty sure this is how the plane (its FBW) will fly this plane. Also, this is greatly dependant of the speed of the plane...at lower speeds, sharp controll is much less possible which already happens in the DCS m2000 so please, elaborate. thanks!

This, I think 2.2 FM is pretty much perfect (or as perfect as it has been EVER)...drag feels correct to me in all moment as well as everything else though I'm not a mirage 2000 pilot :P

Hi, despite I don't own the Harrier module yet, as I want it to be feature complete before purchasing, I don't know why Razbam added that blue tint to the canopy as it is not realistic (I guess its due to not having a own file only for the diffuse color as other planes)... also, for some reason, the plane looks too matt (like lacking specular maps) even compared to some screens in the gallery so I decided to make a little "cosmetic" pack for it changing some of those things like canopy glass, reflectivity, and a few more. In case you are interested here you have the link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3064911/ Bye!
