  1. Thats right. Steam keys work on the standalone but the keys from the eShop will NOT work on Steam.
  2. Nope, only keys for the modules you want to install.
  3. This. I'm convinced some huge announcement dealing with naval battles is creeping up on us. Otherwise, an Iwo Jima and possibly other Pacific maps are going to be very empty and boring.
  4. Helicopter collective you say? I've been looking for one that didn't cost a literal arm and a leg. So hurry up on that one. :D
  5. Considering that Iwo Jima and the Corsair were "leaked" I think it wouldn't be impossible to assume that Combined Arms may be getting some naval love soon? After all, there isn't much to Iwo Jima except water and a little bump of land.... and a lot of water. I think the most important thing would be to get anti-aircraft (both AAA and missiles) perfect and to have matching era naval ships as well. I think a small bridge model would be very interesting to use as well.
  6. Does that refer to enhanced dogfighting AI?
  7. New FC-type aircraft, if produced, should be the same quality both graphically and aerodynamically as FC3 in its current form.
  8. One of the biggest reasons I'm going with this way instead of full wood like you suggest is size constraints. At first I was planning for a full cockpit pod enclosure, then a wooden desk setup and finally I settled for the PVC center stick like in the picture above. I don't really want many fancy, complicated setup. Just something simplistic, easy to construct and that provides a stable platform for the HOTAS and pedals. 9. Wow, just the kind of response I was hoping for! :D Thank you! You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of your build lying around would you? I'd be very interested in seeing it.
  10. Awesome news!
  11. So I've been looking into making some kind of a home cockpit of my own and for an entry project the DIY PVC setups on the Roger Dodget website have caught my attention. Anyone have any experience or ever trying building them? Especially the "Center Joystick Floor Unit" as shown here:
  12. You gain activations back over time too. And if for some reason you legitimately run out of activations, ED will hook you up. Don't worry. :)
  13. That actually reminds me, will the cockpit have an English translation? No biggie if not, I'd much rather attempt to read French than Cyrillic. :helpsmilie:
  14. Yes, the cockpit will be clickable. :)
  15. I'm definitely excited for the Vive. I was a developer for the DK2 from Oculus but I had a few problems with it that I hope HTC and Valve have fixed somehow, namely simulator sickness. I definitely won't be picking one up right away though. I'd rather wait to see what peoples impressions are and wait for more support to generate for it. Possibly a sale as well, but that may be asking too much. :D
  16. I like the way you think. :D

    F-15E?

So many amazing aircraft, so little time. :) I do hope the Strike Eagle gets some love after the Mirage. How much does ED share its assets with 3rd party developers? I'd assume there would be a lot shared considering they are developing and profiting off the same platform. From the looks of the cockpit, the modelling and texture has got to be completed now. And then the PFM from the F-15C has got the be exactly the same if not, maybe only slight adjustments. Other than flight models and art assets, would else would need to be completed? What special features does the Strike Eagle bring that would need careful programming done on it? It may share the same role, but the F-15 is much more maneuverable. Plus it would be nice to have a clickable F-15 cockpit. Its all in the fun. It's not like RAZBAM has many other projects in development. That we know about at least. What would you prefer them work on after the Mirage?
  18. I suspect that if the F-18 stick sells well other variants are very likely possibility. :D
  19. Wow just found this thread and I am in awe! That looks really amazing and for a good price. Are you thinking of any other joystick model designs?
  20. I don't own NTTR and I haven't seen it mentioned but is there hit detection on other vehicles? So can you rear end other cars or do you just pass right through?
  21. All according to plan... But seriously can't wait for this bird! Hopefully you guys give us some information in the newsletter this Friday... *hint hint* :music_whistling:
  22. Nice! Can't wait. Just pre-purchased the other day and now eagerly awaiting the beta release.
  23. Kind of a hard decision here for me personally. I absolutely love the clickable and interactive cockpits, however I also love the plane diversity that FC3 brings because of the "less interactive" planes drawback. I would say that if they were planning a FC4, they should ask the community if the planes involved are worth this drawback. Because why waste the effort on SFM planes if they aren't all that popular? I think new generation planes would be really interesting for something like this. Planes where all the details are classified but could be done just well enough to be realistic. However I believe ED is focusing more on the professional and accurate flight models so this whole discussion may just be pointless. But its still fun to think about!
  24. In English: Fox 1 = "Hold lock" radar missile Fox 2 = Heat seeker Fox 3 = "Fire and forget" radar missile
  25. Thanks for the information! Pay no attention to the naysayers from before, we appreciate the update. By public release, do you mean out of pre-purchase? Do you expect to have a beta or even an alpha out before then? Even if not, still looking forward to it greatly! Absolutely can't wait to snipe aircraft out of the sky with the AIM-54. :)
