This book isn't strictly about hornets but talks a lot about F/A-18C's and F-14s due to the time period (mid to late 90s). A great book for anyone who wants an in depth look at what training is like to become a naval aviator. It's helped me stay modivated through college :D

I hope this is pursued, if it hasn't been already. I'd love to be able to fully manipulate pylons as well, put on & take off empty pylons at user's pleasure or go clean.

Not trying to take the conversation further off into the woods but most online servers I've played that have an interest in fairness end up placing the same aircraft on each team. For example F-15s on the US/Coalition team and adversary painted F-15s on the Russia/Opposition team. Mission makers who seek fairness will find a way and obviously those seeking realism will be given just that, and can even slant the mission in such a way to account for a particular team's advantage. Doesn't seem like a big deal imho.

I'd absolutely love an SH-60 (either an MH-60R or MH-60S) but truly I'd just be happy with an H-60 air frame. I'm shocked that nobody has attempted an H-60 as it is basically the modern huey and is used by such a wide array of nations. I'd be just as happy with an MH-60S as with an HH-60 Pavehawk or a standard UH-60 Blackhawk.

Has there been any word about possible configurations of the carrier? Like static aircraft from different eras: early OIF with some tomcats & hornets, super hornets, vikings, hawkeyes and greyhounds. More modern operations with mostly super hornets, growlers, hawkeyes and greyhounds.

+11111 My absolute favorite aircraft, I'm hoping ED can (at least with ai) model some basic electronic warfare (even if a lot of it is guess work due to it's classified nature), it would add a more complete experience for mission creators in my opinion. Maybe some day get a module dedicated to it. lol sorry for going a bit off topic :pilotfly:

+1 That is an awesome looking hornet, I really love the patriotic themed aircraft & squadrons. I'd love to see this paint scheme included at some point.

Just a few of my suggestions 100 Years of Naval Aviation F/A-18's VX-31 'China Lake' F/A-18 VFA-146 (I know it was mentioned but particularly this aircraft's paint) VFA-106's commemorative paint job for VFA-15 I really love the Navy Jack on the speed brake These are just some rough ideas, not sure if any of the hornets photographed are F/A-18A's instead of C's but you get the point:D

Well a full fledged model would be a pretty big task and as far as I know most of the devs both ED and third party currently have projects on their plate. However I would like to see ED put out an updated 3D model for the MH-60R/S Seahawk for AI. The Seahawk is a pretty common sight on the coming aircraft carrier as well as on the LHA that Razbam is developing for the harrier. I see it as pretty vital to immersion when doing carrier operations.

A bit late but +1 Drove me insane the first few months after the F-5 release before the updated skins.

I'm not sure if N/A's have this livery or only the av8b plus, but I'm a big fan of the 'inverted' color scheme, darker primary color.

I could also see the rare occurrence of the arresting wire snapping on landing being implemented, ya know to keep everyone on their toes.:thumbup:

The BAR is one of my favorite weapons of the period, I wish I was independently wealthy enough to own one, I already have an M1 and 1903, it would fit into my collection nicely :)

The article outlines the Advanced Super Hornet best complimenting the E-2D, E/A-18G & F-35, so I'm hoping we could get a low enough price on the advanced supers to possibly invest in both.

Happy to hear, I love adding ai F14s to my missions but the current model is an absolute eyesore.

I'd actually really like to see a saluting animation, with the Tomcat & Hornet on the way I'd like to be able to salute before the cat launch

I'd love to see some updated ai, ground troops with multicam, up armored humvees & MRAPs, etc. Not to mention some newer ai aircraft, Super Hornets, Growlers, F22s even F35s. Not sure if ED has plans to overhaul the ai a bit, I've just been noticing how dated the ai is starting to look as newer and newer equipment is introduced.

QUESTION 1, Would you buy an AV-8B Harrier Module A = Yes B = No C = Depends how good the F/A-18C is QUESTION 2, How long do you honestly believe before the Harrier will be introduced?(No disrespects to RAZBAAM you guys are great!) A = By the end of 2016 B = 12 Months C = 18 Months QUESTION 3, Are you more excited for the AT-27 Tucano that is supposed to be released by the end of this year, or waiting some more time for the AV-8B? A = AT-27 B = AV-8B C = Who said the AT-27 would be released soon! Question 4, Do you see the AV-8B having a place in DCS World? A = Yes, it will add some very interesting gameplay features to DCS B = It is a niche aircraft in real life and will be in DCS C = It is unique but it does nothing the FA-18C won't do, in fact it won't do anything nearly as good as the F/A-18C Question 5, Do you really hope RAZBAAM will soon turn a large amount of its research and development into the highly complex AV-8B? A = Yes, RAZBAAM needs to finish up the AT-27 and start full work on the AV-8B ASAP! B = No, the AV-8B is still highly classified (as are all the 4th gen fighters) and will take a very long time to make, don't get your hopes up for it!

I was just curious if there are future plans for changing some of the pilots flight helmet's from Air Force grey to Navy/Marine white, adding Navy/Marine flight suit patches (ex. TOPGUN patch) as well as some tan flight suits for the Navy/Marine F-5's. *Disclaimer I know the aircraft is still in early access and this is a low priority, just curious though*

I really hope to see some late era OIF liveries, especially with the bomb/kill tally's.

+1 Why not let some of the talented community members help ease ED's workload, at no cost too. I don't really see any downside, as long as ED reviews the models to make sure theyre up to snuff
