Is online debriefing working? If so is there a guide anywhere on how to set it up. I have tried with a friend online but no joy.

Matt could you possibly outline what the remaining FM issues are? Thank you.

I think it is still a work in progress, particularly the PA CAS (approach with Flaps Full mode)

How are Pilots categorised in the worlds airforces/navies? I know in the RAAF it is as follows: Categorisation. Categorisation (CAT) is an indication of a member’s proficiency in a flying role and is indicated by the award and recording of one of the following categories: i. Cat A—Select ii. Cat B—Highly Proficient iii. Cat C—Proficient iv. Cat D—Converted to Type Are other airforces similar. (I would guess the RAAF systems comes from the RAF?) What does the USAF/USN use? do the use things like Flight Lead qualified. I see on the fighter pilot podcast his Patrons are divided up into Section/division/strike lead. Are these official categories within the Navy. Like perhaps element/flight/...... lead in the USAF Or do they have categories like in the RAAF?

Cross wind has no effect as both aircraft are moving through the same air mass. What does the control display (ctrl + enter) show. Any displacement of rudder or engines? Are your engines even, a thrust differential between them will give a yawing moment.

1:44 second go. Not sure If I could get anymore out of it.

Got track?

Precog standard rate (I.e rate one turn) doesn’t work at at speeds above approx 180kts TAS. So the turn will take longer than one minute. Agree it is about timing and wind.

Oxy mask apart from the risk of loss of cabin pressure also help with G tolerance by providing positive pressure. I.e the mask is trying to force oxygen into your lungs. Some info on history of it can be found http://medind.nic.in/iab/t00/i2/iabt00i2p51o.pdf

Question regarding weapon & Countermeasure profiles
DGC338 replied to Spudknocker's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
In addition to the OPs question is there any information anywhere that specifies a counter measures program that is effective for the various threats in game (I would guess RL programs would be classified and not mimic what is needed in game) looks like. I.e a low level ingress IR missile program, A radar guided SAM program, BVR etc etc The ideal programs for different threats I imagine would be worked out by the experts and sent to the units, not left up to the individual to guess as to the appropriate interval/amount to dispense. I guess there would be loads of different programs depending on the mission set also. The threat types are very different for a CAP mission from an interdiction or deep strike or SEAD. -
HI is horizontal indicator (the advanced multi purpose colour display on Lot 20 aircraft) I believe designation is done by pressing the TDC

Flying on a wing tip Drogue like on KC-130 or alike may need some different control inputs and some trim may help I have been told. -
DCS F/A-18C | Air to Air Refuelling Tutorial [Early Access]
DGC338 replied to 104th_Maverick's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
What Ivank is talking about is And So theoretically shouldn’t need to trim, Although in the A-A refueling section it does mention trim. But whether that is stabilising so the auto trim does the job or using trim switch I’m not sure. -
Ivank you are meant to mention Chem trails on a public forum. Custard layer theory

That is not how you do it. The hold off and sink rate at touch down was awful.

Research and Real-Wolrd data on aircraft visibility
DGC338 replied to airdoc's topic in Western Europe 1944-1945
This has been posted before in other threads but does use real life military aircraft done by real world fighter pilots. http://www.dtic.mil/cgi-bin/GetTRDoc?AD=ADA241347 Though it is only for one specific set of conditions which I don't believe are mentioned. It is a good document. -
Saitek Pro rudder toe brakes problem
DGC338 replied to Gazza.Blake's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
try tick check box for invert and also tick check box for slider. Toe brakes work for me. -
I was just curious to why you deleted the post that had calculations if indeed they are correct? Good luck with the baby.

Is that because you couldn't read the chart correctly?
