  1. Is that the expected behavior - wingman flies off to Nellis once we have done the kiss off? I saw the msg about DCS AI can't fly overhead patterns, so just ignore your lead
  2. Congrats on the release @Reflected - can't wait to start it this later on today!
  3. Do you exit BST mode the same as you would with cage? I can't seem to exit it and get into regular scan mode so any help is appreciated
  4. Its now back @Reflected - it was showing as me not having permissions to view but has been resolved - whewww
  5. and what happened to the "F-4 Phantom Campaign announcement: 'MIG Killers'" topic, its no longer there?
  6. Mavericks and Bullpups
  7. Think you find that there are many of us that like to do just that - sure I've got combat missions in the folder but I actually spend more time just flying it around, learning to fly it trimmed out, straight and level at set speeds etc etc.
  8. Hoping its with the next update so assume closer to the end of August (unless they release it as part of a hot fix patch)
  9. re:AGM-88 on the EF-111a, don't believe that had any offensive (in the kinetic sense) capabilities?
  10. Lets hope that through some scripting it can be done (and in fact I think it can be done now through one of the mods) - I don't disagree BTW, the role change is disappointing esp for the scenario you have called out
  11. JFYI - in Australia and got my Crystal Light delivered yesterday
  12. Yep think their days maybe numbered, at least in the FS world. As you have said, they have rested on their laurels and in past few years more and more competitors have come into the market and have had to be innovative/uplift capabilities to capture a slice. Now TM are so far behind and with their latest new base, its not looking good for them (the new base is nothing new - other than they have added a "different" shape to it....) FFB/haptic are looking to be something of a re-emerging theme this year which is welcomed. I've really enjoyed the WinWing F-15EX with the motors in it, sure its not FFB (not that you need that in a throttle) but its just a nice little immersion factor that I really like e.g. can feel bombs being released.
  13. Thanks for the update @Zabuzard - looking forward to when it is added
  14. @Baileythanks for the reply, will post a video & track later on in the day but confirm I have setup it up as per your steps (note on 3 - no I don't use ILS for takeoffs, it was just that I had 110.30 setup in the ME so noted it was active [morse code received and confirmed] when I spawned on the runway).
  15. Sorry @Bailey - late night post so wasn't very clear. I'm spawning on the runway at Batumi, runway 31 (despite the wind its spawned me facing downwind), as you track down the runway the lateral bar is actually offset. Once you get airborne tracking out over the ocean for approx 3nm then the localizer signal is lost. Turning around to runway 13 doesn't change it, no signal is received. I've attached the mission file here Now I tried a mission spawning in the air and approaching Batumi, the ILS signal is detected however again, the lateral bar is offset to the right. Happy to be pointed out that I am doing something completely wrong but I just don't think I am (again the F-1 CE works fine) F-4E ILS Test Batumi.miz
  16. I have a similar problem with ILS at Batumi in the F-4E - on the runway I have the FD bars but once I get airborne they disappear - I set the mission up with 8kts wind and roughly in line with runway 13. The same mission with the F-1 CE has no issues with the ILS - works fine
  17. Thanks @DaveDewhurst- the comments I found in the config suggested that was the case but hadn't see anyone post anything about the feature not being enabled (though I am sure I have see people post that they have used it). Here's what is in the config --[[ NOTE Temporarily removed until safety concerns are sorted switch_2('Virtual Browser', { 'Close', 'Open' }, device_commands.PILOT_VIRTUAL_BROWSER_SWITCH, device_commands.PILOT_VIRTUAL_BROWSER_TOGGLE, nil, bind_templates.virtual_browser(), { binds = { toggle = { combos = combo('V', 'RCtrl') }, pos_2_way = { remove = true }, } }), --]]
  18. Virtual browser using its default shortcut doesn't work - I checked the config file and in my version it has the below - did I miss something?
  19. I believe its due to the E model being the mostly widely exported and its associated combat making it more appealing to a wider audience I get it really - although I am a Navy Phantom lover and look forward to the day that we potentially see a J model. Nice work so far @Reflected and love the idea of making it a hard wing (tapped into the components model???) - looking forward to this
  20. Yes the left is the same for both E and EX The EX right has a lot more switches so isn't a 1:1 match to the aircraft that the E gets close to. I went with the EX and I've now got way more switches than I need (which isn't a bad thing)
  21. Got my T-shirt today (Australia - ) - thanks!
  22. Sounds like me flying MP now days - flying along and then boom, I’m dead
  23. FYI It’s not chrome that they are using
  24. Thanks - I’m in Byron Bay and haven’t got mine yet, was wondering if any had arrived down this way
  25. Sounds like a perfect use case for DCS web editor (currently it’s in beta so not openly available) - you can select groups of units and move them (can even copy and paste units from one map to another)
