It was never installed on the B & D models. The A model had it in the earlier days but was deactivated and then finally removed (any weight saving is win)

Believe they were added to the Foxtrot version of the Skyhawk (though was retro fitted to earlier some earlier versions). Its used to reduce the runway roll (so not for carrier operations) - you arm them and they are then activated with the weight on wheels when you touch down (just like airliners do). They increase drag as well as adding weight on wheels (they were susceptible to crosswinds due to the narrow weight track so getting further weight on the wheels helps stay on the runway)

Yes saw that and am interested in giving it a go - still, the challenges are having to use the keyboard (I can touch type so it’s not a big deal for me) with VR. I’d really like a tablet integration into the knee board so I can write using a pen/pencil but that’s not always going to work for everyone

Current version of DCS - Beta 2.5.3.23954 Have attached log files & DxDiag - CTD When loading mission - Started today, last time I used DCS was two days ago and it worked OK - Believe a windows 10 update was applied since then (have since tried to restore to the 12th Nov before the update however this is failing) - Have tried multiple mission types with different aircraft and same result - Have uninstalled mods, ran a repair then ran DCS (without the mods installed) - same result - Removed graphics drivers and clean install - same result Have tried other flight sims installed and do not get a CTD. I don't have the Stable version installed to validate against that Looking at the event logs: Getting a WHEA-Logger warnings but these go back months Also getting a lot of DistributedCOM errors, but once again these go back months and aren't related DCS Logs.zip
