  1. This also happened to me yesterday, if I switched to the front seat I could not even move the TADS. George was fine for my previous flight, the only thing I missed was aligning my IHAADS during the cold start, however, the issue was still there after I found a place to land and re-calibrated the IHAADS. I also found some other weird bugs during this process: 1) The front seat MFD was stuck at the weapon page, for example, if I clicked TSD button the WPN button would be triggered somehow, and I could see the WPN button being pressed down many times. 2) The front seat laser second detent button could not be held, by this I mean if I held down the laser second stage detent the laser would only be turned on for a few seconds and shut off. 3) There was no way to choose TADS as ACQ Source in the backseat or the front seat. TADS option was missing. 4) TADS can not be moved freely in the front seat using RHG MAN TRACK controller, the TADS movement was really jerky and sluggish.
  2. I'm also looking at the MFG crosswinds pedals, one question though, how did you place/mount your pedals? I'm currently using CH pro pedals and just place them on the floor, but after some youtube videos I don't think the MFG would be stable enough to be placed on the floor directly.
  3. Hi, I've checked everything and I still could not get into the LSO view (both MT and non-MT version). Game version: 2.8.8.43704 (latest version as of 08/22/23) Supercarrier mode installed: checked Double bind: checked, in case my F9 key not working I assigned 2 extra keybinds. (Press F9 key would switch to boat external view) Mission: ED's F18C supercarrier launch mission.
  4. Hello all, This is just a minor issue, the current vertical velocity reading on the HUD would give us instant reading without any delay. I don't know how F-15E calculates the vertical velocity specifically, but since vertical speed is calculated based on the pressure change by the pitot-static system, there is always some delay. This behavior can be seen in the DCS F-18C as well as irl hud, also across all commercial aircraft (just google any commercial aircraft + PFD) even to a small Cessna.
  5. Thank you so much! I couldn't understand why I was not able to enter the SRM mode until I looked down at the in-game throttle, unlike A10C, the boat switch in F15 is spring loaded back to center, and the china hat switch can be maintained at one of the three positions.
  6. This is great news! I can't wait to enable wake turbulence for carrier operation, I really hope the new FM/FCS will fix this.
  7. Just updated to the latest open beta and did a repair, still no luck. Use F9 to enter the ship view and still could not get into the LSO view. I was trying this on both built-in SC launch mission and my custom mission, how can I check if the external views are disabled in the .miz file?

  9. Thanks for the advice! Does Raven One DF campaign has similar AI problems in MT? Because I really want to buy DF if it has fewer DCS AI problems.
  10. Hi, First of all, I want to say thank you for this amazing campaign, this is the first F18 I've ever bought and I loved it. However, I believe due to the updated version of DCS, there were some script bugs, for example, I've tried Mission 3 for four times because SMOKE either went AWOL or F10 menu disappeared, or the Jeep would not spawn. So my question is, what is the best way to load the mission to avoid these bugs? Should I use the ST version of DCS? Or should I start the mission directly from the mission instead of the campaign?
  11. Thank you! I still deciding either should I purchase the slew upgrades now or wait for a bit for the future force sensor version. Another question is, I've heard the TM actually upgrade their newly shipped Warthog throttle to have a new kind of slew (Since 2021 I believe), what's the difference between your slew upgrades with the newly stocked Warthog slew?

Hi @Deltaalphalima1, I really want to upgrade my Warthog TDC slew, I got 2 questions: 1) How long will it be shipped to Canada if I place my order now? 2) I saw your previous post about a force-operated joystick: http://www.daco.co.uk/modular-controllers/force-joysticks/force-joystick-design, do you have any plan to add this type of slew in the future product?   13. Like others already mentioned, I've tried to use TDC cursor to change radar mode in F18, however, I still found the best way is to map all essential radar modes to the joystick.

I'm not sure if this is related to this post: I've never turned on the wake turbulence before, so I figure I would give it a try since I just bought a new F18 campaign, I was surprised by the sudden pitch-up behavior during my first carrier landing with wake turbulence. It almost felt like I pressed the paddle and yank the stick. So I did a few tests, and this behavior seems only would appear if I enable the wake turbulence.   15. Thanks for the reply! I did a fast repair and the issue still exist. It's not the screen on LSO stands is not being displayed, the issue was I could not even get into the LSO view. In case my F9 key is not working, I even change the keybind under general -> LSO view to 'Lctl + Lshift + L' dcs.log
  16. Did anyone get the same issue? I could get into LSO view before the latest update, but after the latest update, I couldn't enter LSO view in both MT or none-MT versions of DCS.
  17. Hi guys, I can not access the LSO view in Supercarrier, the mission was FA-18C Supercarrier Hornet CASE 3 recovery in PG. I even set up 2 keys for the LSO view in case my F9 key is not working, LCtrl+F9; LAlt+L for the Landing signal officer view under the general category, both not working. I also copied this specific mission to my saved game folder to modify the weather, but the LSO view was still not showing up. Another thing I noticed is the LRLLS also not showing up. PS: This seems related to the MT, just tested with none-MT version, and everything works fine.   18. Wow, thank you so much! I just tested it, without pushing the paddle switch the A/P was stuck with CSS mode, and this would happen, after pressing the paddle switch the disconnect the A/P everything went normal! I thought F18's AP disconnect behave just like A10C's, moving the stick would disconnect all modes. Thanks again!
  19. Hello guys, I was practicing CASE 1 landing with Bankler's Case 1 Recovery Trainer map, however, the FCS (especially trim) will go crazy when taking control after watching the track sometimes. This issue might also happen if I quit the game to the main menu and restart the mission. DCS MT version What I did: 1) Start the mission 2) Pick a plane 3) After landing using ESC back to the menu and click watch track 3) After a few seconds of replay or using LCtr+Z to fast-forward a bit, I would press ESC and choose to take control. 4) Trim went crazy. The behavior: 1) Stab trim became extremely nose-up (more pronounced during the turn) 2) touching the trim up or trim down button would cause stabilators to move excessively. I recorded a short video. As you can see: At 1:17, I didn't need to pull the stick and the aircraft would turn hard, I have to push some stick to counter this. At 1:36, after gear down flaps full, I didn't touch the trim but the aircraft was already somehow on speed. At: 2:06, clicking the trim up or trim button would cause stabilators to move excessively.   20. I'm gonna use my XBOX controller for left and right joystick, and my warthog for center. I've treid this in Apache and seems working pretty good, but later on I removed the cyclic for the gunner seat in Apache entierly and using my joystick for the right hand grip, the traversal range of joystick is much longer than the Xbox controller so it's a lot easier to tracking the target. The downside of this set up is once the pilot got KIA and I'm just a setting duck in the front. Also, I think Razbam actually provides a great solution for the WSO joystick.
  21. Finally got the right clamp. Auto-adjust camps is the key, main reason is desk's thickness could be different for everyone. I got this from the local shop for 35 CAD.
  22. This is GREAT! Basically I copy your design and went to local metal shop, the final result is something like this. Got that 90 degree metal from homedepot, 2 metal plates from local metal shop, and a clamp from local hardware shop. I let them drill 3 more holes so I could adjust the height if I want. The only problem I got is the clamp, I couldn't find Bessey Toggle Clamp Self Adjusting Inline 25 STC-IHH25 from the local shop, instead I got a crappy one, bad decision. For those who wants to build the mount, auto adjusting clamp is important, that clamp is the only thing holding the weight of mount + joystick + your hand!
  23. Glad this post helped you, I had no idea why in some aircrafts the zoom option is located in the middle of the menu, and in other aircrafts it located in the bottom. I had this issue when UH1 and F5 came out, I even thought they just don't have this function, until now...

Hi Infinity, Once I got my throttle slider set to the zoom axis, I simply turned off the zoom function in the TrackIR for z axis, after so many years using TrackIR without zoom I can't get used to it. I've heard some good feedback about Helios, however, I just went a 'old school' way, change the lua file in the monitor setup and I got 2 HUGE MFCDS displayed on my second monitor, the only problem is in the multiplayer server my framerate will drop especially when I place MAV screen on the left and TGP screen on the right in A10C.
  25. Guys, I found the zoom view setting in the very bottom at the axis page... thank to @SCPanda Now I feel like an idoit... I even spend 3 hours to exports MFCD to my second screen. Anyway, thank you guys.
