  1. In real life you would get the BRC when checking in with the carrier, over the radio's. Unless pre briefed i would imagine... But we dont have the capability with the current ATC implementation.
  2. Easiest way is to check the F10 map, click the unit and the course should be displayed. Otherwise your going to have to rely on a briefings and scripts to provide the information, as the current ATC is pretty useless right now. Or like you did, fly alongside the carrier and check your own bearing. For the CSEL option, the steps your describing are correct. You need to hold down the CRS switch for a couple of seconds, before CSEL will appear on the UFC. This script is probably the best your going to find for comms and dynamic information, like BRC/Wind etc. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=223672
  3. Soon ™
  4. Might be worth posting about the SEAD problems on discord or github. It is alot more active with the MOOSE devs.
  5. If your objective is for the Radars to shut down and reposition if possible, then MOOSE is definatly the way to go. It can look intimidating, but really isn't. You would be able to set up what you need fairly easily, as mentioned above there is a core function for exactly this. https://flightcontrol-master.github.io/MOOSE_DOCS_DEVELOP/Documentation/Functional.Sead.html https://github.com/FlightControl-Master/MOOSE_MISSIONS/tree/master/SEV%20-%20SEAD%20Evasion/SEV-001%20-%20SEAD%20Evasion
  6. Oh look another individual having to make a decision to back away from the community because of a vocal minority, who think they know better... awesome. Well let me just say Gregory, your videos and input are very appreciated. The same goes to all other pilots, aircrew, ground crew and any others who provide genuine information for us to enjoy and learn from. Cheers for your service and for making an effort to let others have a slight insight into your world.
  7. Boresight mode if effectively replaced by helmet mode, so the boresight circle is whereever you are looking within the radar cone.
  8. You can always just remove any landmark buildings with small trigger zones. thats what i plan to do for any 80/90's based missions. You can infact remove all of downtown Dubai, but it takes a good 10/15 minutes even on a good system to load in.
  9. Figured as much, hmmm time to check all my other MOOSE spawned units. Oh if only you could develop these scripts on a working base...
  10. Seem to have run into a small issue in a player hosted enviroment. After the first refuel i.e when a new helo is spawned. The newly spawned helo cannot be seen by any clients and only the host.
  11. Yeah maybe i wasn't clear, currently the wheel chocks do nothing... But if you attach to one of the catapults, you are suddenly "stuck" to the deck and can refuel/defuel, rearm without sliding at all. So it would be nice if the wheel chocks offered the same functionality until the deck sliding issue can be totally sorted out.
  12. Yeah that is what was being referred to, fairly easy to use and you can create some complex AI traffic. Or just simple to and from routes...
  13. It has only improved never been fixed, which is a shame its not acknowledged as such. What i dont get is, if you connect to the cat. You become "stuck" to the deck, i have started to do rearm/refuels connected as it stops the sliding. But my question is, until a permenant solution can be found, can we not get the same effect from the wheel chocks? When chocks are in place you are stuck to the deck at all times, at least it would give us an option.
  14. Is the carrier tied into your RAT? i.e are aircraft set to land/takeoff from there. I have run into AI issues, which i have put down to the AI cannot handle mutiple aircraft trying to land/takeoff which leads to aircraft just becoming stuck on the deck. I fear this is beyond the control of MOOSE and is something that needs to be improved in the engine, before we can start doing more complex air traffic off the carrier.
  15. Unless some bug has cropped up this shouldn't be the case, simple steps... You can engage Att / Baro just to keep things steady while you go heads down. Hold your HDG switch left right for a second or so, when HSEL comes up on the UFC type in the desired heading and press Ent. Then go back to A/P and select HSEL, this should then command the requested turn to heading, the aircraft will roll out onto desired heading. There are different ways you can use this and its about finding out which work flow works best for you. For example if you select HSEL prior to heading input the jet will start the turn straight away, this can be useful if you need to command an immediate turn on A/P without prior setup. Its up to you then if you hold the hdg switch down for desired heading or enter it on the UFC. As i say all about work flow and finding out what works best for you in certain situations. I prefer to use ATT hold, then set up the turn ahead of time, switching to HSEL when i hit my time/waypoint etc.
  16. Brilliant, thanks alot for putting this together.
  17. Many thanks for posting these examples.
  18. Hardcard Would you mind sharing the project/scripts. Always interested in how people are using MOOSE.
  19. Little bit of a cheeky request here ;) Would it be possible (well more like do you have the inclination), to expand this slightly into a bit of a "Recovery Ops" system using MOOSE? The idea would be the carrier would have a basic patrol zone which it would travel around, then you commence "Recovery Ops", at which point the carrier would turn into the wind and set speed to get the required wind over the deck, the tanker and SAR helo would be launched. Then you can end "Recovery Ops", the carrier will return to its patrol zone once the tanker and helo are back aboard. Alot to ask i know, but you are one of the few people who could do it :P
  20. Are the platform objects even considered landing zones? Can you get an AI to land on it through the normal waypoints? Interesting...
  21. Might be worth clearing out the fxo & metashaders2 folders.
  22. Possibly, make sure your using the COMM1 and COMM 2 controls, which should be on the throttle bindings.
  23. Is this referring to BRC? If so, would it be possible to add final bearing aswell? Need for case 3 i guess anyway, so assuming it something youve already thought about.
  24. I see how you could be frustrated, but you know it will be sorted by them. There is no rush on your part as noone will get access to it for a little while yet. Lets the rush die down and it will get sorted... No need to rush and order today the pre-orders will be available until release, relax. :)
  25. As always with controller profiles, i would recommend just coming up with your own. Alot of western aircraft are similar enough that the majority of buttons can be the same across platforms. But setting up your own will start to train your muscle memory, using other peoples profiles which can be very different, you will spend most of your time trying to remember what does what.
