  1. There are some instant action missions available like other aircraft, i wouldn't expect any actual missions for a couple of days. Give people a chance to make them. As for tutorials, it was stated they would not be included as this is the early access. It shouldnt take anything away from learning the aircraft yourself, just start with the basics of flight handling/flying circuits/takeoff/landing and work up using the pocket guide for information.
  2. Ok but this information should be stated on the pre-order page and made clear in official communications regarding this early access release. I and i'm sure many others have moved away from 1.5.x for performance and other issues. I appreciate its probably dictated more by Eagle, than yourselves, but again this should really have been made clear earlier.
  3. Why are we only recieving this information now? Everything we have seen so far has been posted using a 2.x build. This is kind of frustrating tbh.
  4. Hey guys, has anyone any idea if there are charts available at the moment for calculating nozzle rotation speeds for short take off? I've had a good look through the pocket guide and A1-AV8BB-NFM-500, but cannot seem to find said information. Many thanks.
  5. Ok good to know, enjoyed the mission though so as this is a feedback thread, great job. :) It might be worth just adding something to the landing check, even just a message, to give the player a recognition of mission complete. Look forward to playing the rest.
  6. Ok strange, because i received no radio chatter or status updates after the RTB call. I taxied back to the starting position and exited, resulting in a 90/100 score. Not sure what i missed, everything went according to the sortie briefing and flight plan. I did notice my wingman appeared to have stopped on the runway after landing behind me, maybe this had something to do with it.

  8. I would echo the above, too much is made imo about the visibility in VR. The SA you gain from being in VR far outways any resolution issues for me, you find yourself behind head up looking out of the pit so much more (which most would argue is what you should be doing anyway). You can really get a feel for the battlespace which means, you are only going to the TGP/other MFD fuctions for short periods to get that last bit of info before making your decisions and with the VR zoom function, there really isnt much difference using the MFDs in VR.
  9. Are the mission docs available in .pdf? I cant seem to find anything in the directory, i like to review the sortie etc. before i have to dive into the game. Cant wait to try this, enjoyed the Mirage campaign alot.

Is there something within MOOSE that i can insert into that script call, to allow me to randomise the number of flight members. I currently have the aircraft templates set with just one aircraft, but ideally would like to be able to place just the one template aircraft in the editor, then let the script define how many are spawned in a flight, from a single ship up to a four ship. I am looking through the documentation to sort this out, but figured i would post here incase it was something quick. Thanks in advance for any help.
  11. I'm just hoping that all this effort in developing MOOSE, means that when/if ED get their act together a bit with core engine features, everything is in place to make the most of it. I have to be honest though, i'm rapidly loosing faith that we're going to see the engine at a level that might be considered stable and workable enough, with the multiplayer and performance, especially for bigger scenarios, never mind inbuilt framework for something dynamic. I would hate to think what has to go into making sure MOOSE is working with updates etc. anyway bit offtopic there.
  12. I would really look at moving to using MOOSE, it isn't as daunting as it seems. I have pretty much recreated what i had using the old script in one evening, and added more complexity to it. Here is a post i made which includes the template.miz file, the template simulates a seperate Abkazhia and Russian borders with cap flights.   13. Is there a module or a way to check an airfield for idle aircraft and remove them? that could be run once in a while.
  14. Is there any chance someone could have a little check of this basic template? I seem to be having issues with groups despawning. Some groups despawn fine, others seem to just land and shutdown but remain on the airfield. Sometimes in their original 2 ship, others seem to detatch into singles but again remain on the airfield. Inevitably this leads eventually to the runway becoming blocked with the dodgy AI pathfinding. As far as i can see, it should be set to despawn when the groups are near the airfield. Might be worth noting, i was testing and running on 10x time compression, as it seems to take a while for the problem to start. Here are the two mission files i'm running for the two areas.   15. A big thanks for doing this, i've been wanting to dive into Moose for a while, but this has forced me to learn the basics and i love it. I'm sure there will be a few questions along the way, but so far things are working. :) If only ED could give you and Mbot a job, working together i'm sure you could accomplish magic.
  16. Yeah man i dont blame you, take a break. Lets see if we do eventually get 2.5 its in a stable enough condition to work on. I'm honestly loosing faith in DCS, trying to work round problems and then it being broken by updates anyway. So i fear to the level of problems your facing trying to maintain this. I honestly dont think we're going to get the support we need for the engine unless eagle deem its time for them to look at a dynamic campaign, which honestly i cant understand why its not high on their priority list along with dedicated servers...
  17. Unfortunatly the low res is something we just have to deal with for now. Honestly i really dont find it a problem anymore, anything i need for normal flight operations i can see fine. Some of the smaller items, freq dials etc. I only really have to play with when i'm not "flying" the aircraft, so i can use the VR zoom function to make out the really small stuff. I think a big thing for VR is really learning and understanding your cockpit layout, switch positions, in combination with the VR zoom. I'm quite happy with my VR experience thus far, couldn't go back to monitors.
  18. Checklists/Charts, can all be loaded into the kneeboard. Just takes a little prep. Apart from that, the old knose peek is my method with a notepad on my desk.
  19. Such a shame DCS in general is so lacking in the multiplayer arena. Surely a fully implemented multiplayer flight planner has to be on the to do list. With more aircraft and complex systems being released, i think its needed now tbh. But like the dedicated servers, i fear its going to be a long time.

  21. Thanks so much for keeping ontop of this stuff baltic, it must be frustrating having to keep tweaking things to get around current and new bugs. Although i have finished the campaign, i look forward to playing it again in 2.5 eventually.
  22. Regarding the OPFOR attacking, it seems their GCI is a little lacking. If i take out a couple of their fighters, i dont really get anymore launched against me, i can be flying around their airspace freely, with the OPFOR fighters sat on the ground. Need to do more testing, as it might just be me.

  24. Sorry, what do i have to do after pressing win key + x? I can open up the CMD prompt as admin, but not sure how this relates to the .bat file. If i run the .bat file as admin, i dont even get the option to select player number, it just opens and closes. Thanks for your help.
  25. Hello, apologies if this has been answered, i have had a search through the thread but cannot get a result. I have recently downloaded and "installed" one of the dynamic campaigns, this has worked perfectly using the in game campaign gui. But for some reason the .bat files dont seem to work. I have tried creating a 2 player coop first mission, the bat file opens, i select 2 and press enter. At this point the .bat window just closes, it looks like another opens momentarily behind it, but then both close and nothing happens. I have a feeling it could be something to do with rights access, as dcs is on my windows drive, but am not sure.
