Honestly the only really decent use i have found thus far, is the ability for someone else to prepare a smaller mission, then merge it with lets says a bigger template (cutting down on mission build times). Ive saved a few things like SAM templates, but it is just as easy to copy paste those between missions for individual groups and use a template mission file for things like IAD systems along borders.

As Matt Wagner stated recently in a Q&A session, "We have built a great simulator but not a great game"... Surely this kind of stuff should be made a higher priority, its not easy for us to make content with so much still missing or not even including current assets to the correct nations... For example we still haven't got any range targets included in the game for NTTR, you cant be relying on the community to keep filling these spaces and the fact the first suggestions on the thread are to go find mods shows this. I appreciate this is early access, but if assets are already in the game, how hard is it to get those configs updated? I understand new assets take time, but again if they are already in the game then these things should be available to the correct nations on your new DLC terrain.

There should be a feature to turn the map background off, but it is not simulated yet. Your best option is to put the HSI on one of the other non-colour screens.

It seems very rash and narrow minded to dismiss any input straight away. Could you not ask these "Fighter Guys" you works with, see what their recollection of the speed brake operation is?

I assume this is because on the Hornet throttle, the switch for the exterior lights is just a 2 position toggle switch on/off.

NWS steering button on the stick, should be under HOTAS controls. Normal operation is Lo Gain then press and hold NWS button for Hi Gain.

^^ Is it just a case of having the correct airfield names? Or do they have to be added to the main MOOSE.lua? -
Off subject but might be related, when was the last time you cleared the metashaders and fxo folders in your users/saved games? I've noticed in VR that if i dont clear those after an update, fps can take a nose dive.

Still the same as far as i can see... I would imagine the F18 release, will force this to be fixed quite soon. -
^^ Fair enough, if it's not used by pilots then get rid of it. BUT ensure we can peak under the NVG for cockpit use. (I swear you used to be able to do this in the A10C NVG)

Sounds good, out of interest is there much involved in changing playable aircraft in the mission? It's not really ideal for you to have to add planes for everyones tastes. On a side not, i did notice a few little issues while testing by myself. I'll wait for now and allow you get the new version done. But one of the major ones were Radar SAM sites did not seem to engage, neither enemy sa-3 or s-300, also the spawned Patriot launchers. Potentially missing a unit in the group needed for the site to function? Or objects too close? I did notice the defense Patriot launchers were spawned very close to map objects. -

Hate to be that guy ;P But how would one go about adding an aircraft to this? Would love to add a Mirage or replace a couple of the current F15C's, as most of my guys use it and would allow us to give this a good testing. I've had a play in the editor, but am assuming one of the .lua files in the mission needs to be modified to allow other player aircraft? By the way let me just say, amazing job on this so far. From what i've seen while poking around in the editor, this has to be one of the best implemtations of MOOSE i've seen. Bravo Sir. -
I would definatly like to add a vote for keeping this optional. Its hard to explain but it works.... Cockpits become usable, dominant eye exposure seems easy if you need to focus on something. But generally the feel of both eyes interlacing, even if uncomfortable at first, soon becomes quite natural and allows you to do everything you need without having to constantly flip up the NVGs.

Isnt that besides the point, if we have a working solution for this, why can it not be implemented asap. Seems there has been a few updates since the files were posted. Maybe there is an issue we are not aware of?

Always make sure to do a DCS cleanup/repair. Can cause performance impact, i forgot at first and had terrible performance, after the clean back to if not better then 2.5

Potential... Thats how i would sum up CA. You can have some great coop ideas using it and even get some good missions done. But your going to run into issues and will have to do alot of testing to make sure things work correctly. Whether its related directly to CA or the mission editor or DCS itself with the current changes going on. It will be a testing experience for now, hopefully in the future once the whole game is a bit more stable it will come into its own, with some more improvment from ED.

A10C as the lasing platform seems to work, try with the AV8 lasing for another.

There is definatly some strange behaviour with lasing in general, its a bit early to nail it down, i need to do more testing. I have succesfully buddy lased with an A10 being the lasing platform. But i cannot get the same results with an AV8 laser source. LSS has been patchy, sometimes finding the laser sometimes not. No real reproducable results, but its worth a further investigation.

Can you not just reduce your fuel load at the start? Not certain, but i think it should remove fuel from your wing bags first.
