PabstBleuRibbon replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear

Haven't seen this before, DCS crashed and created a log.zip. See attached. Relevant log line looks to be: dcs.20180408-212519.txt

VKB-Sim MCG. Questions. Answers. Advice.
PabstBleuRibbon replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
I've had this issue as well, see this thread: http://forum.vkb-sim.pro/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2959&sid=c457c7fcc187a137e62241ffe7333ad9 I ended up installing a beta firmware (found on the above thread) and that fixed the issue. Hopefully VKB should release updated firmware/software soon? This bug, as well as full functionality for the MCG trigger have been in limbo for a while now. -

VKB-Sim MCG. Questions. Answers. Advice.
PabstBleuRibbon replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
The updated guide doesn't match what's available in the VKB software, is there a new release of VKBDevCfg that we can get? Would really like to be able to assign a pulse button to the mcg trigger. -
VKB-Sim MCG. Questions. Answers. Advice.
PabstBleuRibbon replied to UIV's topic in VKB-SIM Flight Gear
I noticed that the left analog slew on my MCG pro registers as an analog axis (as expected), but also as button presses in the DCS config. Is that expected? I haven't seen anyone mention that yet.... -
Mine makes a few noises but I'm pretty sure it's the springs compressing/moving inside their cylinders, maybe a little grease for those would help? I might have to try that, now that I think about it. I have had to tighten the grip screws a couple times, and that has quieted any grip noise. To be clear, it is only HEARD and not FELT, after cam replacement my T50 is smooth as silk, with a slight roughness in the very middle transition for either X or Y, but nothing major. I think I got replacement rev b cams which still looked a little rough, but were way better than what came with the stick initially. The only other source of noise is at the stick limits where it rubs against the rubber dust cover, Virpil I think has redesigned this looking at the pics of the WarBRD. You could also run it without a dust cover, or mod a piece of leather or similar so as to not get pinched at the stick limits. I will say this: Virpil's after-sales customer support has contributed a huge amount to my positive feelings about this stick, and their product offerings now and in the future. They are doing it right.

Need help for coordinates input over Normandy
PabstBleuRibbon replied to Spt's topic in Bugs and Problems
Bump to this, I'd love to mess around with the CK37 on Normandy, but the computer expects N/E coordinates. Mayyyyybe we could get a TAKT function to switch long/lat hemispheres? :) -

Black screen when editing controller profile
PabstBleuRibbon replied to Nealius's topic in Game Crash
This is still happening. Latest Openbeta release. Go into controls in the menu, hit "ok" = instant black screen. -
I can feel RAZBAM's frustration from where I am sitting, that is a rough bug, especially in the context of 2.5 being weeks away. The day the devs can close the 1.5.x branch and never look at it again they are going to celebrate.

Best campaign for DCS World IMO
PabstBleuRibbon replied to LC34's topic in The Museum Relic Campaign
I'm just going to chime in and echo that this is probably one of the best (the best?) DLC campaigns for DCS. I'm about halfway done with the mig-15 side and can't wait to try the F-86 version. My dream would be a similar campaign for the MiG-21 and F-5E, but in NTTR. Apache600 you have a talent for this! -
What are you guys up to? Mig-21 one of my fav modules, but this place is a ghost town....

Hey M3, any update on this? Or any other bugs being worked on with the Mig-21? Any news would be appreciated! -
[NO BUG] Chaff Flares no longer working.

Latest 2.1 version, aso not working at all in multiplayer. Tried rearming, removing it, etc, never fires off any chaff/flares. -
Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - Nevada - Round 1
PabstBleuRibbon replied to Ciribob's topic in Multiplayer
Been practicing my a2g skills the last couple of nights in the su-25a, great fun! My only issue is without intel it's damn near impossible to identify AA/SAM vehicles vs the other vehicle groups at bases. Anyone have good tactics for knowing what targets to hit first? Can the L39/Hawk provide any F10 spotting for units? Just wondering! -
Here's a tip: After windows calibration, which we know doesn't work for the brake lever axis, use DXTweak to mess with the calibration scale. I did that and it works great.
-
hah, amazing work on the rivet sleuthing! I am WAY more inclined to think it might be an A6M5 over that Husky. Why would they ever spend the time to create a DCS-level sim of a glorified piper cub? It will make them literally zero dollars, probably negative dollars. However, a late period A6M5 would be pretty compelling! And would sell some!

Mbot try tightening up all the grip screws, just be careful to not strip them out. Quieted mine down quite a bit, if it starts to happen again I'll do the same but with some blue loctite added.
-
ahhh what is it gonna be! Dying to know here :)
-
anyone check if the 2.1 patch today included the PBR updates for the -21?
-
ah, sorry I thought you were using the T50 grip. Not sure where your clunk would be coming from in that case, hope you find a solution!
