No, but they have perfect 360° vision, so unless they want to use their Aim-7's, then they don't need their radar. As an attack chopper pilot, they are the bane of my existence. I have watched them fly miles away from me while I land, and still they come back and strafe me, because they always know where I am.

Okay everyone, I've sent the PM's. Please let me know if you didn't receive one. This forum has a 1 minute lockout period when posting, and sometimes I forget to check that it actually sent the message.
-
Oh, then I guess it's fine.

I would be okay with this, but thinking about it, it would probably be better to restrict the weapon loadouts on those aircraft where applicable allowing people who only have those aircraft to participate still. For example, no targeting pod for the A-10C (get it as close to the A-10A as possible), no vickers for the 25T (get it as close to the 25 as possible), not much can be done about the Ka-50 since it doesn't have earlier tank missiles it can equip. Maybe just replace it with the Gazelle since red forces fly it too though we'd be excluding those with only that module.

Heli's on the ground shouldn't be a problem. Simply take off and land on the FARP for rearm and refuel.

I'll get PM's out to everyone when I get off work today.

[DCSW: Mi-8MTV2] English Cockpit Mod
BodyOrgan replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thanks Devrim, I'll be downloading tonight. -
+1 I've been on the receiving end of this a couple times.

Use your compass, clock, and landmarks. If heading to a location broadcasting a radio beacon, then home in on that beacon. I too would like to have the F10 map not show the player.

Ha ha, the good stuff apparently. Thanks for that. I seem to have gotten my sales mixed up.
-
Okay, last day for sale. Anyone else want to get in on the professional edition?
-
+1 To both of these, but especially CSAR and fuel transport. I found the latter to be highly conducive of producing teamwork.
-
Come fly for the dark side. We will issue you your own personal Ka-50. For my Bluefor friends I will issue each their own personal 3M9M.

No, actually it wasn't working because the server wasn't allowing exports.
-
Simple Radio isn't working on the BuddySpike server. It doesn't change frequency when joining and aircraft.
-
I forgot to ask: Will the fuel be handled like round 5 or will the AI still handle it? I miss the logistical dynamic the fuel system provided. Will CSAR be around this round?
-
Should consider to allow Red/Blue to use the Su-25T and Gazelle since they are actually used by allies of the respective powers that be. Possibly even consider the Mig-29G for Blue. Even still this looks exciting on paper.

I missed this one by several months.

I'm down for the professional edition.

You know, I used to think Sweeper was the biggest troll, but you've stolen his crown. -
Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 6

You aren't following my logic at all. I'm saying you wouldn't have fun if you had no choice but to play 1:3 and then some odds every time you got to play. Blue Flag isn't simulating a real war. If it were then every underhanded (read cheat) trick in the book would be used, and it would all be "FAIR" game because reasons... What its trying to be is a competitive event where two opposing sides are trying to achieve the objective, and have "FUN" while doing it. Do you think it's okay for a competitive event such as Basketball, Football, Hockey, Soccer, etc. to have a team with a numerical advantage in any form? How competitive let alone fun do you think it's going to be for the team with the odds 1:3? What about the fans of that team? Are they going to enjoy the match? If you think you can have fun in stacked environment, then I invite you to join Redfor, but I seriously doubt you will. I will however take your advice, and ask Buddy Spike to move me to Bluefor. TL;DR: A script needs to keep the player difference low. -

You just gave a very one-sided perspective. I notice you fly during the American time slot where the odds are 3:1 or at worst 2:1. This makes it pretty easy to get anywhere you want go, and have your fun. You've probably never had to play in the reverse odds or if you have then I doubt for long. I prefer to fly choppers, and I tried to do that last night, but Bluefor continually counter picked my spawn location, and flew a Mirage or F-15 to my location to shoot me down. What am I to do, suffer in a fighter every night during round 6 like I had to in round 5, so you can have your fun in your helo? Not this time. I'm just going to observe from the sidelines while you guys have fun with the AI. -
Operation "Blue Flag" - 24/7 PvP Campaign - ROUND 6
BodyOrgan replied to gregzagk's topic in Multiplayer
That's really interesting and I like the idea. The only major concern I see with it is the problem of not all players owning a module that would allow them to play. For example, a user who only has fighters. To get started I would take the easy route and just implement a simple team balancing mechanic. -
