These two: Dynamic campaign system New combat theater maps Voted for campaign system (both multiplayer and single player compatible).
-
Unfortunately it didn't worked for me. If I use 'GUI = ...' in LUA then the interface is squeezed like this: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=148111 If I use either 6000x1200 or 5760x1200 or a mix of both in LUA and in the options, in fullscreen or windowed I can't make the bezel correction work.
-
No, in 5760x1200 the menu on the right is fully visible, in 6000x1200 it's hidden behind right edge of the screen. It did toggled fullscreen and window, but I don't have bezel correction mode either way.
-
I have three monitors (1920x1200 each) and I use 6000x1200 resolution (2x120 pixels for bezel correction) with Nvidia Surround. In any other game when I choose 6000x1200 resolution the 3d world is rendered with bezel correction, DCS doesn't do that, but it expands the rendered world beyond right edge of the right monitor instead, it does the same with the menu (it's also hidden beyond the right edge of the screens).
-
I have similar problem but with three monitors. I run 6000x1200 resolution, (3x1920x1200 + 2x120 pixels for bezel correction) and the menu is hidden behind right edge. I could live with it, because first letter of each menu item is visible, and I can click on it, but the main problem is the mission editor. Everything on the right is hidden behind the edge of the screen. Everything is fine when 5760x1200 resolution is selected, but unfortunately with no bezel correction the game looks pretty bad, the horizon is not lined-up between the monitors.

Agreed on this. -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
empeck replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I don't want to use 3 views, as my all displays are combined into one in the driver. It works fine in other games, and I'd rather keep it this way. I did some tinkering with the lua files and it seems I've found a way. I've copied the server.lua file from Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\View\ to c:\Users\user\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\ folder, and edited this line: CameraViewAngleLimits = {20.000000,170.000000}, It fixed the fov issue in Ka-50, A-10C, Mi-8. I have yet to check the rest of the modules I own. -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
empeck replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
I'm running 3x24" 1920x1200 combined into one single display with Nvidia Surround. This is my lua file: _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('WideScreen'); Description = 'One wide monitor configuration' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 5760; height = 1200; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 4.8; } } This is the maximum fov I can set. How to increase it even more and zoom out further away? In BMS I'm using 150 degrees and it seem perfect, I'd like to set up something similar in DCS. Is it even possible with Surround? -
Why? If the game is short, but good, the price is reasonable I don't see the reason why ask for refund. It's a comparable entertainment time to a movie. I'd rather take good and intense two hours over repetitive and boring 40+ h.

Yeah, I know Valve Time. Someone should compile ED Time once EDGE and Nevada are out... -
DCS: Mi-8MTV2 English Flight Manual
empeck replied to EvilBivol-1's topic in DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight
Any news on updated manual? It's been few days already... -
I haven't said anything about EDGE. I'm just looking at the screenshots, and old ones looks like bad particles from an old, dated game. New ones are much better. Note - I'm talking about the smoke only. The flare itself may be a bit overdone though. I like it anyway. ;)
-
I disagree here. New smoke is much better. Old one looked like the same sprite copied all over, new one looks like smoke. At least according to the screenshots, I'm on the stable branch.

DRM free version is here: http://www.gog.com/game/this_war_of_mine

I have F-117 from GOG.COM. It works flawlessly with my G940 - but with joystick only. Considering the throttle is digital in that sim it's not a problem.
-
It's been done at least twice already. First time for Combat Flight Simulator 3 for WW1 single player experience - Over Flanders Fields and second time by Pat Wilson for Rise of Flight. Both done for free (on case of OFF - first two iterations of the mod were free) in spare time. Both campaign systems are much better than most of commercial flight sims. Give'em tools and they will come.

They have full game engine too. http://www.havok.com/products/vision-engine

Nope, me too! Hopefully this mean animated AI crew on the deck of the carriers. At least that's what I wish for. Pretty cool update, ED, thanks! Now, we wait. :book:
-
Thanks ED. Got my Dora. :)
-
Not a perfect solution, but much better. Thanks ED.
-
Sure, I already own Nevada for over three years (I think), let's add another map to the list of areas I will have one day. Fool me once (BS -> BS2 payware upgrade), shame on you, fool me twice (Kickstarter of RRG and ED product) shame on me. :music_whistling:

+1 I will be much more careful with spending my money on DCS products in the future.
-
Hopefully you're right.

It was easy to predict during the campaing, and if it's an issue it shouldn't be promised. :music_whistling:
