  1. FSX cross players are aware that FSX default helo flight model is far from realistic. No need for sarcasm. I'd love to have realistic R22 in DCS, especially for Nevada map.
  2. That's irrelevant. If you like to fly multiplayer in FSX you don't have to buy expensive addons to play with the ones that bought them. Expensive maps in combat sims will fracture the community.
  3. What about functional Norden for B-17? Is it planned?
  4. Depends on the implementation. It didn't in Cliffs of Dover.
  5. Its called maturation.
  6. Agreed. Thanks for feedback, especially during the move.
  7. Of course not. But it's logical. If WWII units (including external models) are in separate DCS: WWII, but not in DCS: World then they won't be visible in multiplayer unless all players have B-17 installed. If WWII units are in DCS: World then what's the point of having separate installs?
  8. Yes, but if you'll import DCS: WWII B-17 into DCS: World it won't be compatible with base DCS World online.
  9. Also: Su-25T/freeware flyable of DCS: WWII and maps.
  10. Strange decision. A product should be aimed at all potential users. Yet many of them tried DCS P-51 just because it's there in their sim of choice.
  11. Wrong. Both DCS: World and DCS: WW2 will use exactly the same engine, only thing different will be content that is compatible with both of them.
  12. Let me quote myself. How I am bitching? By asking for a choice of merged install?
  13. There are jet jockeys, and there are WWII fans. Yet there are many of us who likes both and would like to have both in one package. The perfect solution would be to allow to merge both installs if needed or keep them separated if an user want that. The choice is always better.
  14. Bitching and complaining? I don't think so. Can't we have our own opinions and voice our concerns? Nobody is bitching as far as I can see, and the discussion is pretty healthy I think.
  15. I don't consider myself as a jet jockey, and I own every DCS module except CA. I'm a flight sim fan, and I enjoy almost every theatre and era available. That's why I'd prefer to have one install. It's not side tracking discussion, because if it's a separate install it may have the impact on my Kickstarter pledge amount.
  16. Hopefully both RRG and ED will reconsider this decision, and leave DCS: World and DCS: WW2 as one, merged application. Keeping two identical (on code level) simulations makes no sense and will split the community.
  17. +1 I'd rather have one platform for all addons and eras.
  18. Cool! Now we wait for ED. :book:
  19. Wiki would be nice to have all the modding info gathered in one place. Now everything is scattered on the forums. Getting into modding is hard, the learning curve is vertical without any official docs.
  20. +1 I like Steam, and I'd like to move DCS there, but not without FC3 planes and BS2 (I have BS2 upgrade version).
  21. Hopefully it will be more a sim than RTS.
  22. Terrain SDK, and maybe more open vehicle SDK to non-partners.
  23. Yes, so exciting to simulate simulated combat, isn't it? :pilotfly: Just kidding, no offence.
  24. True, if you're not using real maps. I'd rather have a real location than to pretend I have one. I guess I'm spoiled by FSX. :music_whistling:
  25. Thanks for the answer. I understood it wrong I guess, something was lost in translation. I look forward to see more info in September. :joystick:
