Are you kidding? Train Sim 2012 is extremely moddable. There is integrated map editor (quite easy to use), 3ds max tools, relatively good SDK documentation, and now they are adding Steam Workshop.

That's why I think Train Simulator 2012/Railworks is much better than Auran's Trainz.

What about those who bought BS2 on sale? :music_whistling: They paid less than me (BS1 + BS2 upgrade). Why they have better way of installing Black Shark than long time supporter who used one of the official ways to buy a product? I guess ED should make a warning that I'm buying a flawed product when I bought an upgrade. :P

+1 Is it because DCS World is still in beta? Will upgrade license owners still have to keep/install obsolete 4 GB of data on the hard drive just for activating Ka-50 in DCS: World final?

Matt, would it be possible to make CD check of LOMAC during FC3 installation? Like BMS does with Falcon 4? Without installing it?

If first title will success, sequels will have bigger terrain, it's been said already. It's their first game and team is just three guys, they have to start small.

It's subjective. I'd rather play DCS: Hind than DCS: Fastmover :music_whistling: ;) Can't wait for TKOH: Hinds, already preordered.

Why not? It's 13€ for three versions of Hind, and some other stuff, including military content. It's not study sim, but I like TKOH. When compared to addons for other sims - FSX, RoF or Black Shark 2 overhaul it's not that much for that content. I'd like to see a trailer, how weapons systems were enhanced, but I'll probably buy it anyway. Beside Black Shark there is no other game to fly a gunship, Combat Helo is not ready, and ED is not interested in helicopters at the moment.

Come on. I understand why ED want to expand their product base, but what you're trying to say doesn't make sense, at least with Black Sea and Nevada maps. How many WW2 units we will have to make a mission?

Sure there is. I bet ED will sell at least few copies, but it would be nice to have an environment that actually makes sense.

Of course I'll buy it. Just to compare promises seen in this thread to the reality ;) I still think that DCS series became too distracted, and it's impossible to make a combat scenario that actually makes sense. Theatres and aircraft selection is completely random, at least at the moment. :music_whistling:

Yes, both are props powered with Merlin engine, but they are completely different when comes to flying and operating.

Open source projects are not viable replacement because of GPL licence. You won't get commercial products for them, and I doubt freeware will ever reach PMDG/ORBX/VRS/etc quality. XPlane in it's never ending beta is not a as good platform as it could be. I'll stick to FSX for next few years.

Black Shark is unique with it's coaxial setup and autopilot, so I wouldn't compare BS to any other helicopter sim. FM in TKOH has potential, but it needs some work. With community FM mods it is quite good, but there is big FM patch coming, and then it should be much better.
