    Wind

There is something seriously wrong the FM when there is some wind. Just try making a mission with 15 kts wind straight down the runway with ~50% fuel, no stores and try to land both directions. Landing with headwind i can maintain no less than 300 kph without reaching 20 degrees AoA. Turning around and landing with tailwind however i can maintain 220 kph no problem. As far as i know i should be able to maintain the same speed both directions. Something is wrong :P
  2. Might wanna slow down there. Normal landing speed should not exceed 310 kph and the tires are only rated at max 320 kph, go much faster and they can blow.
  3. A Little trick is to bind ATT hold to your HOTAS. When its engaged it trims the Aircraft for u, then u can just disengage it and u have a perfectly trimmed out Aircraft
  4. It definitly behaves VERY Weird in even moderate winds (15-20 kts).
  5. No problemo
  6. Barometric altitude shows the altitude above whatever pressure you put in the altimeter, for example QFE shows AGL at a certain spot, QNH (sea level pressure) shows ASL.
  7. It can be launched between 50-500m AGL not ASL.
  8. RagnarDa Any news about the possibility of creating rearm/refuel Points at "roadbases"?
  9. Another question if you're up for it: Any news regarding PGM munitions? LANTIRN?
  10. Good for u!
  11. After the recent patch the engine is spewing out just as much smoke in afterburner as it does without afterburner.
  12. I Believe the radar activates at about 10-11 miles and its not going mach 5 anymore by then so i Think youre looking at 10-20 seconds from warning to impact.
  13. Definitly Think this is a LNS issue as this only happens in the ajs 37 and the mig 21 for me, no other modules.

    M-71 Bomb

    Fly lower bro :)
  15. I might be doing something wrong but its seems like you need to press the TV switch in order to lock onto air targets while the manual states that this is done with the T1 switch
  16. I have seen many pics of aim 54s on the wing pylons tho. But in most of those cases i think its because the "belly" stations were occupied by A/G weapons.
  17. From what i understand the aim 54s are very draggy when mounted on the wing pylons, so thats probably why they usually only go under the belly
  18. Im prolly gona go either 2x4x2 or 3x3x2 most of the time :P
  19. You Always need an accurate QFE if u want an accurate shot
  20. The wheels turn way to slow compared to the speed of the aircraft.
  21. A Little overdramatic maybe? :P

    QFE

U can calculate the QFE on any spot of the map as long as u know your current elevation and the target elevation, assuming that the pressure remains constant over the whole map. Lets say your current elevation is 500 ft. If u set the altimeter to zero, then you know your current QFE, lets say its 995 hpa. Now lets say the target altitude is 2000 ft. 2000-500 = 1500, thats the difference in altitude between you and the target. On a standard day 1 hpa = 27 ft, so 1500 / 27 = 55.5 Since pressure decreases with increasing altitude, you need to subtract 55.5 from 995 = 939.5 That is the target QFE.
  23. Mirage can and i believe the a10c can as well
  24. Love the video! Just wondering if we can expect any more vids today since we were told:
  25. The difference being that two of them (f15 & su27) are gona get their asses kicked!
