Look MBot, right now I'm the only one who toke some time to see whats happening with your mission. My english sucks, it is a pain to read my typos and I'm not the most advanced ME user but I'm here trying to help, not to argue if this is a bug or to say your complain is wrong. So please take in count what I'm telling you: - I know forcing things with triggers is overcomplicating, I did it for the sake of testing. Ofcourse this is not how it should work. - AI does not attack EWR if given the most basic setup in WP options in my latest OB. AI follows the ROE I give it. It happened to me months before latest OB but hardly affected me because I always: 1.- Delete default enroute tasking that appears in WP 0, add my own when is relevant. 2.- Define a ROE at the begining and set it to change if mission requires it. - There is still the Erratic fly after egress that may be caused by the proximity of EWR to traget and the relative position of WP2 to the elemements mentioned before. It decreases if you change their position. So yes, EWR can be inducing some weird behaviour on the AI. But again, no mockup starfing runs for me. These are my conclusions and I'm not doing more testing until ED or some ME Pro jumps in. -

Sorry I totally missed the point of your thread and mixed others problems in my replys. Let me add some considerations: - I'm on OB latest build. - I've done further testing with your setup: it egresses to WP2 but never in a straight line and eventualy starts tu turn in circles. No atemps of starfing attacks. - This behaviour decreases as I move WP2 to the South, or the EWR to the North. It will leave the area towars WP2 after a minimal amount of erratic fly. - Tried to force "switch to Waypoint two" via trigger activated when target is destroyed with no luck. - Tried to replicate your setup but changing task 'attack Group' for its equivalent in 'enroute task' with no luck. - What ROE do You expect them not to ignore if there are none defined in your mission? This is a serious no ironic question, I don't want to seem rude. By experience I think AI allways try to attack by default, so I use as many ways as I know to restrict this Skynet thing. -

Mbot, I modified your mission to make clear what I wanted to explain. I also added 2 CAP examples for WRL11, one simple set up will attack EWR. The other one is the setup I use for CAP and will behave well. You can chek the 'Late activation' box of each if you need a more clear tests. I Hope it helps! EWR_Target_Switch how_would_i_doit.miz -

I see, I've been experiencing this since few updates ago, it is solved the same way. You have other options to restrict AI behaviour in the ME waypoint menu. For flights with more dynamic tasks (CAP, SEAD, CAS) I would recomend to delete de default task in the ME waypoint menu, wich appears since WP 0 as a continuous task and create your own in a latter WP. Notice tha every time you change the aircraft type in the flight, this will automatically appear again. -

Hi, just tested it. You have to give it a ROE the same way you gave it a 'Reaction to threat'. Solved it by ROE = Only Designated. You have other ROE states You can play like 'Priority designated'. -
Have you tried this Mod? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=146210 It adds Zpu-1,2 and 4 (14,5mm) and zsu-57-2 (57mm). Zpu is not as devastating as the 23mm, specially in Shilka and still provides a good visual effect. The ZSU-57 is my favourite, big slow tracers that explodes relatively close to your aircraft. I would love to see them shooting randomly or covering assigend sectors. The problem when I edit my missions is that any kind of AAA unit without radar guidance are blind and they don't shoot at all at night or in adverse weather. Even with a CP Sborka commanding the group.

As a guy who has had CA forever, the last thing I'm thinking about is training with CA or wasting time in a campaing with the same old CA problems. By this time most of us have figured our way around. (the ones who haven't give up with this module) There is, just to reference one with CA user experience, a 71 page thread with all kinds of requests, reports and suggestions from users dating back to mid 2012. By the way you explain the convenience of doing this campaing, it seems like CA was released three months ago. About that bunch of stuff you fixed, may I ask if this it is something fixed only for this campaign or we will enjoy it soon in the current flow of updates? Thanks. -
I'm not asking for SBPro. just an update on platoon commands, a wedge of mbt wich advance covering sectors and some very basic units (Western EWR and AT infantery / Squad mg for the Russians & friends)

Wow!"commanding a platoon from the driver’s seat". After four years I need more than a nice video and the word of future developement (in a latter stage) to spend more money in this product. . Both AI and Command Menu are very basic if you don't use scripts and I'm not interested in buying them.

So, are You removing mod threads? I've been following some of them quite close last weeks. They are disapearing at an unprecedented rate. I know there are rules regarding ownership that must be respected, but I would like to have that info. Yesterday night I downloaded from https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/ a radardome building wich can act as RED/BLUE side EWR (have been waiting for something like that FOR YEARS). Works fine, but now I can't find a thread and the reason why the download have been also removed. Same goes for the infantery liveries, ships, etc. They are installed in my DCS because they were offered in the DCS page and now I'm left without knowing if they are legit or even dangerous.

Well, I have been here long enough to know a thread usualy derails when You drop by and start with this drill or directly asking to close it. Please, stop that, we have dedicated moderators. You are not contributing to the debate, nor making any clarification or improvement. As a Harrier and M2Kc owner I would like to see some other customer opinions. Even if they are not expresed in the most appropiate way (allways a minority!!) thats not an excuse to close it. Personaly, I think this module is far from dead as the tittle suggests. But I share every claim made in first post and there is complete understanding of the EA process. You will never see me asking for a release date or complaining if one is missed, but I will need to see a 'F-18 Early Acces' level of regular information flow in order to throw my money into another EA developement. What I didn't learn from my experience with the C-101 or reading about the M2kc developement, I'm doing now with the Harrier.

Hi Mbot, I share 100% of what you said. The state of AI has been very poor in many other levels and in almost every DCS module. I use to fly single player missions I edit. You can learn or develop some tricks to overcome AI limitations, but is easy to fall in a continuous state of frustration. More time testing, more time researching in the forums to little or no achivement. I own the 37 and I haven't enough time to learn and fly it like you do. You may have tried everything at this point, but let me tell you what I did for kind-of swedish doctrine attack ( with m2000c in 1.5), it could help. -Two aircraft flight (mission: GA) -Tgt: Vehicle concentration (defenses: Osa, manpads and aaa. Random presence and number) -Formation: trail (set in MissionEditor, before the attack point, so it changes without need of radio orders) -During pop-up: Radio command -> Attack mission objetive and rejoin. This made the wingman fly my path accurately well into the pop-up maneouver. Then, given the order, it used to climb a little bit more, point at the target, attack and rejoin safely (most of the times). You can play with te timing of the radio command and angle of the aproach to make a multi axis attack. After all the test I did, It seems to me it was the trail formation the most important thing in order to keep a nice formation during the attack. If i didnt explained well enough, or you have any doubt, just tell me!

I won't buy any Vietnam War era module until there is a map of Vietnam with the pertinent assets. The same goes for any module whose historical characteristics or context does not fit PG, NTTR or Caucasus.

Hello, I think I have a similar problem, so please let me post it here. F18 module has been available for 4h in my DCS(.17599) but updater does not work by itself. As with the previous updates I used the Autoupdater exe in \bin directory with no results until I saw the post telling us not to force the update. should I keep waiting? I have no matter with that, I just want to know if I may be doing something wrong. -
Hi hanab, as far as I know actual Tarawa is being redone to be released with a number of other ships by Rabam. It will correct this issue and add other funtionalities. You can see more detail and some WIP in Razbam's section.
