  1. Just a quick "thank you"! Donated to the coffee/beer/cake fund Rik.
  2. I second this, we have some utterly superb models from the likes of Eightball, but we're still super-limited on the humans, especially infantry and civvies. Really needing an animated (non-Spetznas) RPG squad, for example. R. Man, you are the best! Do you have a "buy me a coffee" or similar account, because I wouldn't mind slinging a few quid your way for all the fun I have with your assets Rik.
  3. Just a quick note to say thanks for these amazing assets! They're awesome!
  4. If so, please share I'm halfway there: perform a programmed 180° (turn=left at ~4-5g for "sector" 180, bank angle populates automatically), however, the problem isn't there, it's getting the AI to perform the base leg and final; in short, it makes a proper pig's ear of it and it'll wander miles away, do many and varied turns and climbs before it finally settles on final and lands.
  5. I came here looking for info because I too find there's diddly-squat in the way of documentation and I also found very little out there on the interwebz. But I see you already made a mistake that I figured out a while back, so seeing as nobody else replied, here goes: Remember that DCS is largely developed by folks who work in metric... Now you'll understand why in your first example the jet whooshes up to ~20k feet; that's ~7000 meters you have requested. In your second example, the AI works as programmed; you asked it to do a barrel roll not an aileron roll. For me, it's doing exactly what was asked of it.
  6. That's what worked for me (ESET Internet Security 15.2.11.0). R.
  7. Just came here to say thank you and to have a chuckle at the last two pages of the read me for the ships mod R.
  8. {thread necro} Found myself here because I was trying to create a SP mission that was to have a battery of M109s "softening up" some entrenched T-55s. Long story short, couldn't get any of the long tube arty to fire a round (tried the 2S19 and even the M12) some of them remaining in the "closed" position and not even budging an inch. I substituted M270 MLRS units and they did fire, but again it wasn't consistent (despite all units set to "excellent" skill) with some of the units refusing to fire at all. Tried swapping the M270s for SMERCH and all of those refused to fire at all. Think AI arty is a bit broken right now P.S. this is in OB 2.7.5.10869
  9. Following! I too am not a fan of the Jeff, not due to aesthetics or capability, just that it kind of doesn't fit my playstyle in DCS. I'd actually be happy with an AI Gripen, but flyable would be the cherry on the top :) Best wishes!
  10. Hey there! Fantastic utility, really helped tame my old TM HOTAS Cougar and a worthy successor to my "old skool" days with Foxy. Now, it took a while to get my head around some of it, but I think I'm there now, except for a couple of issues: 1) TrackIR integration. I changed the mapping in the TIR program to reflect the config suggested in CTS, but I can't seem to get it to work at all, i.e. works fine in the TIR utility, ignores me once in DCS; the guide suggests that S3+S4 should recenter. 2) Similarly, either I'm misreading this or there's a problem; in the F/A-18C mapping, it suggests that (with the APU running) the DF switch T7/T8 should correspond to L/R engine crank, respectively. Can't seem to get this to work either :/ I'm using CTS 2.520 (as of this morning :) ) and the TARGET FA18C kb v247N.diff.lua/TARGET FA18C HC v245.diff.lua files loaded into DCS. What am I doing wrong, please? Cheers, Rik.
  11. Glad that you figured out something that works for you, however, I think we might be at cross-purposes a bit here despite our desired outcome being the same thing, i.e. two DCS installs; one OB, one release, each with their own folder in Saved Games. So, I tried a different tack this afternoon and used Skatezilla's excellent GUI updater tool to initiate a totally new release version, fresh off the server. (Advanced Update Options > Manually Initialize and Install w/DCS Update > populate the fields as required > step through the installation by moving down the task list) I then launched this fresh install and after I'd entered my account credentials, it gave me a splash screen and wound up at the main menu. No modules present because it's a fresh installation, but modules waiting and ready to download. Now, this shiny, new, virgin installation was totally vanilla; windowed, everything set to "low", defaults, etc. 1280x720 resolution, painfully loud volume, et al. So, I immediately exited the sim, checked my Saved Games folder and, sure enough, there's a corresponding shiny, new, unmolested DCS folder sat there. So, I go back to Skatezilla's utility and tell it to copy the config from my known working OB install to the virgin Release install (Application Settings > Manage Config Folders > Source = Open Beta > Destination = Release > Copy) Switch the launcher to point to the release version and {drum roll} it works! Not sure why the DCS_variant file method didn't work, but hey ho.
  12. Hiya, font of all knowledge :) I had to delete my release installation a while ago and for some considerable time was just running the OB. I now want to go back to having both, so I created a DCS_variants file, duplicated my OB into a new folder, did the edit on my variants file (Release) ran the executable, got to the menu screen, but it didn't pick up my settings from OB and instead had defaults. How do I exactly replicate my OB config but in Release? Sorry if I'm being thick, but seriously, I need a lie down :) Rik.
