  1. The problem is the correlation your guys are making. Skid marks does not mean tire lock up.
  2. What is your point of reference here? What make you believe its wrong? How do you think it should behave? Do you have a comparison a document or is it all base on you perception? Tire marks on runway and taxi way are common. Why? Because aircraft tires are relatively soft rubber compounds. Look at most airbases and you will see tire marks on many taxiways and parking spots. Look at Nellis in google maps. While car tires last years, and it take to lock the brakes to leave tire marks, I seen aircraft leave tire skid marks just by turning and tires only last a few months at best. Anti skid helps prevent (not eliminate) tire failure and improves control under braking condition. Could you stop faster without it? Probably, if you don't manage to blow the tires and loose control in the process. If you can't stop during landing on any aircraft, you are going to fast, are to heavy, the runway is not long enough or a combination of all three.
  3. To me is amusing to see the guys that load everything they can, crash 3 or 4 time trying to take off. Finally get airborne, find something to shoot at, and go in for guns. As for the modules: I like it to match what ever aircraft they are modeling. Keep the cockpit to it native language, what ever it may be. I learn the KA-50 in Russian pit. I was even able to program the ABRISS and I can't speak a word of it. If it only has one skin, good by me, I don't need 20 versions. It can only be flown by one country, cool. If weapons are limited or not, if it is accurate good by me.
  4. I am just curious. The F110-GE-100 only does that if started in secondary mode where the Digital Electronic Control (DEC) is not on and the Main Engine Control (MEC) is used to control the start.
  5. AFAIK, it matches the real life moon cycle. For example, here are Kutaisi full moon calenderar https://www.timeanddate.com/moon/phases/georgia/kutaisi So if you set up a mission for those dates and time you should have a full moon.
  6. AFAIK, only the F/A-18C, the A-10C and hopefully the F-16C will be the only ones with a specific versions, specific year and specific software versions mention.
  7. lol, typical to all the Modules we have, right?
  8. Does anyone know why this version of the F110 closes the nozzle on start? I tried to ask here but not sure if anyone saw it https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3809863&postcount=97
  9. So what do got so far: - The the manuals available to us are painfully outdated. - That the AV-8B in DCS may be between 2006 to 2012 and my not represent a specific date version. - That if the AV-8B can carry GBU-12 on ITER or DITER, is done rarely if ever. - We know the RL AV-8B underwent several upgrades/updates very rapidly like most combat aircraft from 2000 to 2015. - We know that by 2011, RL AV-8B could only carry the TGP on Station 2, 5 and 6. Anything else guys?
  10. I just found this photo. It suppose to be a exchange pilot in training from VVMA-213 at Yuma MCAS circa 2006. I guess the unit name is wrong since I can find any info. I think they mean VMA-311 Tomcats. The article is in spanish http://www.hispaviacion.es/aviador-naval/ Obviously this is a AV-8B+ so not the same we have and not sure if it matters.

  13. That makes me feel old...lol, nearly 20 years now? Back on the multiviper days you had barely come in. Man I'm old.
  14. AFAIK, that is video of development and testing for the ATFLIR and does not represent the TGP flown in the USAF F-15E.
  15. Not sure
  16. oil used to preserve the engine during shipping or storage.
  17. Notice how much the camera vibrates when the AB comes on, that is how your chest feels.
  18. On this one the fuel is burning and was probably and anticipated hot start.
  19. That is not fuel burning and we can't read tit in the pit. This engine does not use TIT AFAIK. Normal pickle engine start, no damage.
  20. Where in your hard rive is DCS installed? your drive letter:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics once you open this folder will tell you if it is OB or stable. Additionally this link show you the installer versions https://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/ This shows you how to use the updater https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030
  21. I miss pickled engine runs, they where exciting.
  22. Looking at the cold and dark start up video https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=232970 Why do the nozzle close during start up? Looking at it from F110-GE-100 experience. I am just curious about what design change on the -400 over the -100 causes this and reasons for it? Not saying is wrong, not arguing anything.
  23. I heard the rhetoric before, anyone remember fighter ops? LOL That made laugh then as it does now.
