  1. For those of you that think the F-16 does not need trim, what is the pilot doing at 2:08? OUiUcMHe1Bs?start=128
  2. DeathAngel and Wizard 03, What ShadowXP is trying to say (Don't mean to speak for you, please correct me if I am wrong) is that they are a multitude of differences from the Current (2019 ) USAF F-16C block 50 with CCIP ( commonly refer as F-16CM) and the circa 2007 F-16C block 50 ED announce. For example: - Operational Flight Program (OFP), is different. Currently they might be using M6.5+ or M7.1+. We might get M3.4+, M4.2+, or M4.3+ in DCS ( no sure which one was use circa 2007). - Cockpit panels are in different locations. After CCIP, some cockpit panels where move. They where move again in 2009 and again in 2012 for different equipment. - Equipment and panels where changed. -- One of those is the Combat Edge Vest that was used around 2010 to 2012. If you look for video of the time, you can see it but the USAF stop using it (Again, not sure why) -- Avionics power panel: There are different versions, the current version has EGI instead of INS. -- Flight control computers and software was change (new ones introduce "Auto-GCAS" among other things) -- OBOGS was introduce around 2010 IIRC -- Both got JHMCS, but different versions. Symbology is different, the way it connects to the aircraft etc. Not to be confuse with Helmet Mounted Display (HMD) which is a different thing. -- Pods have different software and capabilities (HTS, Sniper) all of these have their own software internally and provide different capabilities. -- ARC-210 was introduce (not sure the year) so radios are different. Later, Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) communication where added (circa 2011). - With different OFP, different weapons where introduce: GBU-54, GBU-39. I doubt we will gate these since they where introduce circa 2010 and 2014 respectively IIRC. The list goes on and on. And all these are ongoing. So a USAF Squadron might start to update/upgrade their aircraft, but they are not going to stop operation because of it. So they might update the aircraft one a time or the might update them all at once ( very unlikely). The completion of some updates might take months if not years. That is one of many reasons you might have squadron with varied capabilities.
  3. Cool man, hope you can jump in and correct me when I get to many beers and start talking stuff beyond my scope.
  4. I hate this things. They always ask stuff of the pilots beyond their scope ( things they don't need to know) and instead of answer truthfully (saying: "I'm not sure" or "I don't know") they always start making stuff up. The moment they ask about the blocks and he mention block zero, I lost interest in the conversation. We should move the conversation here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=189542
  5. Cupra, That is a very specific question. Sorry I never worked on Egress systems.
  6. How are you closing the canopy. Specifically. keyboard command? Pressing the switch in the pit with the mouse?
  7. click on image to enlarge
  8. https://www.afcent.af.mil/News/Video/videoid/665061/dvpcc/false/#DVIDSVideoPlayer11688 At 4:14 in the video, look how dirty they get when deploy to the sand box. Also note how many scratches the refueling boom makes.
  9. https://cdn.dvidshub.net/media/video/1904/DOD_106653552/DOD_106653552-1920x1080-6221k.mp4 The U.S. Air Force’s fifth generation multi-role aircraft arrived for its first deployment to the Middle East on April 15, 2019. The F-35A, the conventional takeoff and landing variant of the Joint Strike Fighter, provides greater operational capability by combining advanced stealth capabilities with the latest weapons technology.
  10. DracoLlasa, Eaglewings, and SkateZilla, Thanks guys, hope I can be help full. There are so many thing I do not know about the F-16. Radar, weapons, and other systems capabilities etc. Flying characteristics is a whole area I know little about. I am far from an expert. ShadowXP, and Pilotasso: Both of you have F-16 experience and to me is fun to hear from others experience. Hope more join the conversation. I was wondering, for people creating the models: Is it easier to create the model a certain way or modifying it later? I ask because I figure we all can talk about weathering. For the people planing to buy this module: Do you guys prefer a brand new pit or a weather pit? Not thinking about what is realistic or not. Not arguing if someone has a different opinion. Simply post your preference and why. I would prefer a weather pit, but would not mind I pristine one. To me a weather pit would be more familiar. More fun visually. How about external skins? I ask because it seems there are many different opinions on this.
  11. Something I want to keep bringing up because I hope it stays fresh in peoples mind. If and when the F-16 module is release. If ED stay with the same version they announce (we all know or should know that can change) it will be a F-16C block 50, from USAF, After CCIP upgrade circa 2007. Counter measure panels have change, Avionics power panels have change. Engine Starting Systems Controller have change, Flight control Computers have change, RWR, Engine, JHMCS; the list goes on. I am only talking about USAF F-16C block 50, not even thinking about other countries. So before making a post saying this or that is wrong, please lets all make sure what versions we are looking at. Before posting that "chart" about turn performance, what flight control software and computer is that chart based on? On the USAF block 50 alone there are several different flight control computer and software. Before posting a video about the engine, do you know there are 6 different engines for the F-16? Not just block 50 but F-16 in general. F100-PW-200 (block 1 to 25), F100-PW-220 (block 1 to 25, 32 and 42), F100-PW-229 (block 42 and 52, 52+), F110-GW-100 (30, 40) F110-GE-129 (50, 50+), F110-GE-132 (60). They all have subversion also, as an example last time I check, the F110 has the 100, 100B, 100C and 100D. How many F110-GE-129 subversion are there? I don't know, does anyone know? Avionics power have several versions; Some with MMC, Some with MMC and EGI There are several OFP and they all bring different capabilities. M3.4+, M4.2+, M4.3+, M5.1+ So unless you have specific dates for when those OFP became operational ( and their capabilities) maybe hold off on that:" it should carry this weapons or this pod". A youtube video can't tell you what software that specific F-16 is using. Pods have different software, and example sniper S1.8 or S3.5. Seeing a video of the Sniper pods does not tell you it capabilities unless you know the specific software used on the video. Same goes to all other pods (LITENING, HTS, etc.) So, more than likely (if ED stays on this specific version) this module wont match what most of us think we know of the F-16.
  12. F-35, Road to Certification https://cdn.dvidshub.net/media/video/1903/DOD_106508201/DOD_106508201-1920x1080-6221k.mp4 More videos and info here https://www.luke.af.mil/F-35-Demo-Team/videoid/664540/dvpcc/false/#DVIDSVideoPlayer40393
  13. qtRI1zOWwcU -- At 0:11 you can see the canopy close but if you look at the back of the canopy you see the actuator still moving. What is doing is rotating the canopy hooks ( I cant remember the proper name) -- At 0:46 you can see a small section of the Flight control self check. Followed by part of the trim check at 0:56. At 1:01 the flight control check, the horizontal stab go up, down and then kick, roll left, roll right, rudder left and then right. Kick is when you check the Manual Pitch Override switch. You can also hear the engine nozzle moving on another engine on the background ( sec check or EPU check). The whistle sound come from 13th Stage engine bleed air going to the Convergent Exhaust Nozzle Control (CENC). This only happens on PW engines. -- At 1:30 and at 4:40 you can see the pilot "warming up the flight controls" --At 4:33, you can see the crew chief making sure the Emergency Power Unit (EPU) is not running. He is looking for hot gases form the EPU exhaust. Then he checks system A hydraulics (fluid level pressurize) There is a chart on the inside of the panel ( that is what he is looking at) --At 4:50, you can see the Jet Fuel Starter (JFS) shutting down ( you can see the "puff" of smoke from the JFS) --At 5:11, they are taking the ground safety pins and stowing them on the Left wheel well. There are 2 boxes to store the pins in the jet. There is a hole on the "bulkhead" so the guy on the right wheel well can pass on the safety pins
  14. This is interesting According to F-16.net, Israel AF block 30, tail number 074 (88-1716) is in storage Here we see it on a video tittle for 2019 -qCs97Zlbr4 Also note the location of the landing/taxi light on the Main Landing Gear (MLG) like unmodified block 32 and below. The more I learn about the F-16, the more I realize how little I know.
  15. FW normally pick the more suitable aircraft to deploy (lest prone to braking among other factors) so is more like a mix from both squadrons
  16. Unfortunate because of the angle of the camera is hard to tell which F-16 these are. They appear to be F-16C block 50 from 35 Fighter Wing (either 13th or 14th Fighter Squadron). Note how some aircraft ACES seat will have the folding pitot tube and some don't.
  17. Have you seen this thread, it was the very first one I posted on this version of the forums. I can't remember how the old ones look like anymore. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=25616
  18. :lol::thumbup: Awesome
  19. Man that look cold, specially with an engine running, I bet the wind was bitterly cold. When it was cold like that I would try to wait on the left wheel well while the pilot did his checks.
  20. This one is for you my friend EmuhOVMNoyU I forgot about the PW engine fuel bucket for when they shut down, I miss it so many times.
  21. Have you seen those crazy shelter where the door folded down? I was never in one of those Qysvg9Iam5s
  22. a6uWFB_qbWE Every time this guys walk between the front of the wing tank the running engine intake make me cringe.
