Since ED is making a new F-4E model for the AI, I hope they can make it navalised so we can use it on these ships along with the F-14
-
I would second that, also could you please use other countries for F-5E as well, like Iran for the Red team, so we can fly Iranian F-5s on the red side, it'll be really cool ;)

DCS: F-14A/A+/B by Heatblur Simulations coming to DCS World!
carss replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Whoa!! -
True, I sure wouldn't mind that but why go through all that hassle when you can just reskin the Su-33? Plus it'll be flyable right? I can agree remodelling the LiaoNing though
-
Any chance of seeing their Carrier and having the Su-33 added to Chinese faction?
-
I'm assuming the ones in yellow are being worked on and the ones in light grey are released? Also I don't know of the blue ones
-
Yeah I saw that a few months ago. But if you look at it, it's a British Harrier, GR7 most likely. Razbam is making one but they are making the American version called the AV8B
-
Well those are already pretty much coming with out next map haha! ;)
-
LOL, let's see it fly first shall we?

Since the WW2 map is almost out and after this it'll be full steam ahead with the Strate of Hormuz map, I thought maybe we can create a small list of AI units to recommend for this map Since it's obviously going to have certain middle Eastern countries and their own forces. They have some planes and hardware that are strictly theirs which certainly may not become a module, but I think can become great AI units. Some like the following below.... 1: Iran's HESA Saeqeh This is Iran's modified homemade F-5E with a mix of Chinese, American and Russian weapons. This could be excellent for Iranian AI units to use in campaigns, missions and online missions as well. 2: UAE's F-16 Block 60 As we all know this is the most advanced F-16 on the planet and also incorporates the AIM-9X and an AESA radar. Although it's unclear if an AESA radar can be doable, I'm pretty sure the AIM-9X which is being made for the Hornet can be applied to this as well. 3: Chinese F-7 (J-7) Now this obvious Mig-21 copy with a modified wing has been in service with a lot of middle eastern countries quite a few of which are on the map, like Iran and Iraq, Pakistan and Egypt (though the later two may not be on the map) make this plane the perfect AI unit for this map. These are a few I thought would be some excellent AI units for this map, if you have any more feel free to share :)

Use of newer countries for Online missions and Campaigns

IKR! Think of it similarly in online gameplay. You have a variety of countries to chose from for F-5s, Mig-21s etc -
Use of newer countries for Online missions and Campaigns
carss replied to carss's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Ok it was just a suggestion. However why was it a bad idea? -
I have a question. This is mainly for those servers like the 104th Phoenix and also for campaign builders..... When you create a new mission or if you modify the current one, can you please use other countries as well? For instance, for the F-5E, on the blue side you can use Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Spain, Norway etc. Whereas for the F-5Es on the red side you can add Iran instead of Russia as it's not exactly realistic. Similar thing can be done for the Mig-21, for the blue side you can add India (with the appropriate paint scheme). Whereas for the red side you can add Iran, China, Insurgents, North Korea and more along with Russia. This can also be used for creating mini air forces based on real world fleets. Like the Brazilian Air Force owns both the F-5E and the Mirage 2000C. So you can put maybe 4 Brazilian Mirages and 4 Brazilian F-5s at a certain base, which might also be shared by another air force/faction. India has both the Mirage 2000 and the Mig-21, which is another good combo. This provides more use and variety of those awesome new factions we have plus. It also adds realism and even helps in identifying friendlies from enemies. However in the case of certain planes like the Mig-21. All the paint schemes are there for all the countries unlike BST neatly arranging it's paint schemes among the countries respectively making them more realistic. So in the case of the Mig-21s, you will have to choose the paint scheme meticulously for each country you set them for. And as for the campaigns why not also use these countries to make new campaign missions, Like for instance an Iranian campaign for the F-5E, or a Saudi Arabain campaign for the F-5E. Or similar to how the Museum relic campaign used to require both the F-86 and the Mig-15. Just like that you can create a Brazilian campaign which requires both the F-5E and the Mirage 2000 or similarly a Taiwanese air force campaign which contains the same combo. These two F-5Es for instance..... Or these Indian Air Force Mirage 2000s combined with a Mig-21..... Or this camo set for a Vietnam setup.... So variety like this in online missions and possibly campaigns too would be such an awesome change. And I really hope this can happen as it'll be so much fun to fly a variety of planes for a variety of countries realistically

I have a question, why not include more countries and make missions and campaigns out of them? For instance, we have planes like the Mirage 2000C and F-5. Both of which are in numerous countries. We could make an Iranian campaign or a Saudi Arabian campaign with the F-5E, or we could make a Greek Air Force campaign with the M2000. Or some of the countries that have both planes like Brazil, we can make a Brazilian air force campaign that requires the purchase of both the F-5E and the M2000. Or another such example can be one of the Indian Air Force with the Mig-21 and the M2000C. All these new countries have finally been added to DCS after so many requests, lets put them to good use shall we? ;)

Which update vids are you talking about? You mean the one's from Silver Dragon?
-
Has anyone else thought that DCS jets, especially with afterburners would sound so much more realistic with a scorching sound, kind of like the present M2000C sound but much beefier. Here's an example.....
-
There are a lot of other unofficial or unannounced devs in the list, so why not these guys?
-
Maybe you can add Deka Ironwork's JF-17 to the list as well?
-
The Mig-15 and Mig-21 have also been known to be able to fly from grass air fields, but I think even the F-86 has done the same for some countries. And the F-5 can be seen doing the same in the video above
-
Just a thought since it happens in real, why not in game as well? :music_whistling:

Hi could you please add Deka Ironwork Simulation's work and photos to the list and update?

Possibly a Basic variant Su-30 for full fidelity Flanker
carss replied to carss's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Sorry for the late response, didn't have time till now, I agree with you and I know what a joke Abacus is. However I did hear of Milviz getting some sort of licence for the F-4 Phantom when they made it for FSX, so I heard somewhere on a DCS website. -

True, but I think that Su-30 also did have multirole capabilities if I'm not wrong. -

IDk I simply came up with an idea and had to put it forth some how, also I'm aware that it's extremely hard to get certification for Russian planes. What about 3rd party devs like Bear Studios who made the Su-30 for FSX. Now I'm aware that it was FSX and not DCS which apparently isn't very accurate, but I'm willing to bet he got some kind of certification to make those planes right? Isn't there a for ED or someone to get it similarly for DCS as well?
