  1. Just an blueflag Community Idea, how about we do a big formation flight for the last hour or something ? All in one TS channel etc. Would be great I think. Who is up for it ? :)) Red and blue together would be enjoyable after all the hostility. :))
  2. I have to agree, blueflag is really great in terms of giving every module a purpose. Even the trainer memez :megalol: Cant wait to click the Viggen slots and scramble towards whatevar colour oppfor airfields will be at that point relative to me. :D
  3. As said no flanker, nor f15 specialist. I have no problem believing the su27 underperforms, neither do I that the eagle does. But I dunno if the eagle even has a FBW, only later versions got it, dunno what we have in game. Just was speaking about mirage FBW which to my knowledge does what it should if you configure it as you should. :D And if you dont you run into troubles. :D Yeah, the super530s got a lot better due to some loss of STT lock issues getting resolved. [And that super radar getting created but as said, 530s dont guide for sh*** when the STT lock should fail.] You still loose lock at high roll rates, but that is beeing worked on as well. Apart from that only changes in the DCS engine could have lead to that. Considering that all IR missiles performed a bit funky dunno, doesnt seem to be that far fetched. So dunno. I cant really comment how good they are compared to other stuff in DCS, as I havent flown su27 or f15 in combat and only got something like 10-15 player kills in muh mirage, but have flown it for loads of very low alt high speed ground strike, but they seem far from OP. [And I love playing the look down shoot down game with flankers trying to hide in valleys. ))) No hiding from a radar looking at you from 45k ft. :D] 4 mile shot traveling at mach 1.02 with a closure rate of something like 800kt at basically sea level at an flanker moving at 400-500kph missing doesnt seem OP to me at least. :D But Bluefor pilots say they track a little better then the aim7s, so yeah could be that they are indeed a lil better. AFAIK IASGATG did some analysis and flight performance wise they reach top speed a little faster but bleed it also a little faster, but are overall very comparable to aim7/r27r, but obviously are better within a shorter range since the higher average speed. If you want we can do some test flights together after next fridays patch and can evaluate a bit. But overall yeah they got to my knowledge legitimately better by the radar stopping to loose lock in some conditions where it shouldnt and the only issue of redfor pilots perceiving mirage as god mode is really the uber SA you get with the unbreakable STT. Yeah I know, I just brought reaper up as an example to underline uber SA of permanent STT is getting people killed by mirages, not some kind of new missile performances. :))

Bluefor intel unit aka microvax has already gathered information about the quality of reapers dirty jokes and we are knowing about that capability of redfor. ;) Yes I do like to formulate. :D Both in written and spoken words, dunno if you were there when I was on red TS between the rounds. :D Maybee you will get a dose of micro on your team next round who knows.

I have done extensive analysis about the complaints regarding the mirage FM and the patch red was complaining about fixed fm bugs and didnt create any to my knowledge and nobody has pointed out yet where it is buggy. A delta wing with vortex generators will be able to pull higher AOA and thus instant turn all day long over more conventional wing types, but it will loose a metric ton of energy. If you are out of energy, you are as dead in the water as you could be. But If flankers try to turn away from you at 500-600kph, that is simply like running into a TWS AIM120 and say "omg muh RWR didnt say stuff". Aka not very smart since you know that advantage of the enemy equipment. What indeed is an advantage for the mirage which should not be there, and I really think that is giving redfor the feeling of the mirage beeing god mode right now is the fact that it doesnt loose lock. Missiles get still spoofed by chaff, but the pilot allways know where the last STTed plane is. Apart from some weird occurances where it looses lock for no apparent reason. That is a huge SA advantage if you can see what people are doing behind mountains and while notching you. I mean take reaper as an example, its not the KA50 that is some super god mode vehicle, Its reapers SA that is killing people. Same with the mirage atm. Also the mirage has relative weak engine you just have to harness that to your advantage. And as seen before the turning ability realistically also kills you if you bleed your energy for worthless maneuvers. For the blue planes not breaking. It should never with FBW working. Tell me why it should. The FBW simply limits inputs based on load factor, done, no breaking planes. F15 has never broken because of G in real life afaik and there has been records of extremely high g loads. For the Flanker I do only know that later versions had a g limiter to prevent the wing snapping from happening. The mirage is also easily breakable above 300kts if you set FBW to a fixed parameter set, for the case your FBW computer decides not to work anymore. And honestly for negative G in the mirage, the FBW limits you so hardcore that you dont even get anything near red out. :D So I do not know what you are talking about in that regard. And the eagle also struggles, you quite often get complete hydraulic failures due to small arms fire. Same league of problems. :D Oh and for the guy who posted an ai mirage missing its vertical stabilizer and saying omg mirage op dm. Thats really only AI, the EFM does what it should, you will loose lateral stability, start to one side, and you cant do shit about it, if you pass the critical slip angle, your plane just violently tips over and you fall to the ground like the unstable leaf you are. Ask the guy who shot me down over FK93 yesterday. And for defeating the missiles, ask the guy who defeated all 4 missiles I fired at him at while doing a banter run on maykop. You can also see in that track that he gained speed way faster of the runway than the mirage does, both obviously combat loaded. For the STT SA advantage, yep thats unfair. And I unlock the target as soon as I should do, you get terrible HUD and VTB flickering if your lock would be dead. That is what I call sportsmanship. Ask your kamov pilots engaging stuff at night with the shkval about that thing, was a lil disapointed by people using the nvg + tv way of engaging targets at night. There would have been a correct way to do it, called ilumination rockets. So yeah, I am really getting annoyed with people putting random "fm is broken" without presenting something obviously broken or providing knowledge which reveals bugs in the mirage FM. Razbam will be for sure happy to fix bugs. THEY DID EVEN WORK ON FBW FIXED GAIN to make it more realistic, since they are really dedicated to make it as close to real as possible. But that random accusation of the mirage beeing OP FM wise and broken, is just a sign of not doing ones analysis and just judging from what one saw during combat. And that is just, I mean honestly. The amount of tigers the russian faced in kursk according to soldiers was in the thousands, all together only ~600 were build overall. And honest I think thats what happening here. If not, present a tacview or track that showcases your claim fm had some god mode FM, and you are not just getting beaten by SA provided by a buggy radar to the enemy pilot. I would love moving units too btw. But afaik server performance doesnt allow for that.

  7. Yep you only need it to have reasonably accurate navigation. Which you only need if you are really high or really low alt. I mean you already have 500m drift after 15 minutes of operations if you do the full alignment, so yeah. If you want to strike dem fuel bunkers at really low level to evade the air defences, you do want best level alignment you are going to get, since bloody russian Airfields dont have TACAN. :D I dont want anything done about it. I just wanted to highlight that there is unfair things between aircraft and that is fine [with me], because they are different aircraft. :) EDIT: Dunno if alignment is enforced @buddyspile.
  8. I think the real interesting part here is the total impulse you get out of one fuel load. su27 gets to about 140kn*h with full internals while the eagle gets to around 149kn*h with 3 droptanks. Both at mil power according to the numbers I did find. So it really comes down to drag and envelope here considering the range. And that seems to converge with ferry vs. combat range. [in case somebody doesnt get what i mean, combat, higher speed, non linear higher drag, fueltanks baaaad, ferry range, lower speed, drag not as prominent, tanks are gooood.] So yeah, the suspected greater range is prob since the eagle travels at higher alts on average. And I mean nobody compensates for the fact that the mirage needs 8min to get precise nav to russian airfields, meanwhile the flanker and mig29 dont have to wait 8 min on the runway to get working nav. Thats hugely unfair, but tbh I dont care, just to be said here to support frosties point that the change for balance between frames makes things worse by the subjective standpoint. Because people will prob get less mad at things which are just defined by frame specs. :D And rocco plox you guys use the skval at night with the ka50 without ilumination rockets. ;D I wonder how that works. You told me about your 1337 shkval hackorzzzz skillz and putin mod ))))))). It just feels weird to struggle with the gazelle and switching to IR and toggeling NVG to play fair with the merkel copilotn and then a ka50 mysteriously engages radar SAMs at night without ilumination. :DD I dunno what mod you installed that time. Putin vision ? :D Also with the mirage I unlock stuff to play it fair. And I am not going to lower my standards because other people seem to have lower ones. I am idealistic and I am stubborn in that regard. I just find it a little funny. :DD

Dunno, I dont think the fuel is the bs all sides encounter here its the respawning over and over again and draining people of munitions without even doing stuff, while not doing so endagers the strikers you should protect. The question here is really if we all want to keep the respawning with zero penalties after getting destroyed on the tarmack. Not sure what I would want either. No penalties encourages people to do it to try prevent capture even if the enemy is all over the place, should one be encouraged to do that ? I dunno. With penalties you can still try but it would feel less arcady to the attackers. Who are destroying the same guys 5 million times with no effect. :D Dunno what is "better". Its really up to personal preference I guess. What I would love to see but is probably a little bit hard to implement, have any airfield activate QRA slots as soon as it is under attack, but loose lives in theese slots if you are destroyed on the runway. So lets say red gets 2 mig29s and blue 2 mirages which start hot, ready to take off on the ramp. That would feel more legit then su27s/eagles scrambling xD. To me at least, dunno. Just some Ideas, I had great fun yesterday doing strafing while airdefences are still up. And I would honestly load up an entire mirage with a/a and a/g ordanance to do takeoff denial runs every 30secs - minute. But it feels somewhat weird to have to destroy the same guy on the ramp 4 times in a row, which doesnt rob you of the fun of running in far to low altitude to not get hit by AAA and SAMs though, but really limits the effectiveness of your ops. [VIGGEN will happen. ))))] [Might go red next round.]

  11. Igla missile has same max velocity, just about half the weight. And planes which dont get a warning for the vikhrs, dont get one from an igla launch either. But overall its really the easier operation in terms of establishing missle guidance which people want. Mistral missiles will be fun, ca. mach 0.7 faster then the vikhrs. )))

  13. Ah, didnt mean you, on the page before there was lighthearted stuff about spamming agm65d from 20k ft and gbu12s. And since I did extensive testing with le mirage what launch ranges can be achieved I just shared that. :)
  14. You can throw the gbu12s roughly 15nm with the mirage already. Its really the problem to get someone laze for you when you are approaching tha target at 700kts gs at 50k ft.

  19. Asking before its even sure we get the patch on friday, plox gib mistral gazelles at airfields. The m versions reaaaly is not well suited for the heli hunt job. One practically needs to get into a hover in the 342m with the sight stabilisation we have atm. [its in the gazelle changelog so wer are practically only waiting for the patch.]
  20. Yeah, that is the RDI radar STT bug, nothing to do with the 530s. And they dont track out of the STT limitations so yeah definetly SA advantage atm, but nothing about the Super530. And I didnt say the mirage is bug free, I just said the argument i could pull maneuvers without energy is rubbish.

  23. I mean live who is on what frequency, it gets to time consuming to hail people on 264, 254 and TS just to notice they arent anywhere even if they are marked as using srs. Its simply annoying that you cant tell if somebody isnt listening, not on that freq or not even there anymore. And if you already have a bunch of single ships running around you kinda have to manage them all on one of the three GCI channels... But thanks for not reading at all what I wrote happy to explain it again. :megalol:

  25. Simple radio is great but there is one problem. You dont know who is on a frequency and due to the fact that the amount of people who is really disciplined is low, you sometimes didnt know who is on which freq an who is not. With TS you know who can be reached by it by a look at the nicks in the channel. If there was a SRS player/frequency table and the issue where audio gets distorted if you receive on two channels at a time is resolved I think SRS has the potential to replace TS. We had some great coordinated flights in the testing phase and then with the round start things got messy and usage kinda did go back. At least on bluefor. tl;dr SRS is a pleasure to use with a coordinated group and a nightmare with the random mix of players. Only bug from my side is audio getting distorted if you receive on two channels due to the fact that it seems to switch between the radios really fast and is not putting out audio from both radios at the same time. Edit: Again not a SRS problem on its own, but I think player/freq table could halp a lot.
