I seem to remember a thread regarding how to install user created missions and campaigns, but my searches haven't been successful. I'm not what anyone would call savvy when it comes to this kind of stuff, so if anyone has a link for step by step instructions I'd really appreciate it. Thanks

I can't seem to get through this one. I'll admit, the first couple of times I flew into restricted area, but last night I flew the mission again, and here's what happened. I shot down 4 bogeys, and my flight shot down 3 others. While flying the CAP between SP 11 & 12, it was quiet, so I checked in with E3 for status and was given "Clean". Then 2 and 4 declared "Bingo Fuel" so I sent them to RTB. 3 began declaring his was "Running In" then would declare "guns, guns, then nothing. He just kept doing it. I got low on fuel so I headed back to base. The only thing I can think of is that I took off and flew directly to SP 6 from SP 1 so that I could make the push point on time. Any suggestions?

I recently advertised a couple of Graphics cards I wanted to sell on Craigslist. I ended up selling 1 each to a couple of guys. When they came to pick them up, they asked and I explained why I was selling them after upgrading my rig. They asked what I used my rig for and I told them about DCS. These 2 guys were about as different as could be. One was a guy in his 60's who built PC's and the other was a college kid whose dad is a commercial pilot. Both were into FSX. I showed them some Youtube videos of DCS, and the expression on both of their faces reminded me of myself when I saw DCS for the first time about a year ago. My questions are in response to meeting both these guys. Both were into flight sims, and both had never heard of DCS. Are we as a community promoting this program? Should we currently be promoting it, or waiting til after the merge? Just curious about your thoughts.

I posted about this a few months ago. I found that if you restart the mission immediately, your wingman will be at another parking spot and will join the flight normally upon your taxi.

I'm not at home right now, but I believe if you open DCS and then open the Module icon at the top, you should see FC3 there available for download. You'll need your activation code.

In my limited experience, if I get into that lower altitude WVR fight, I screwed up earlier by either poor SA, or just being overly aggressive. The few times I've escaped, it's been by gaining a speed advantage by doing a gradual climbing wide circle. Even then I managed to dodge a missile by a hair. It seems to me it's the proverbial "brought a knife to a gunfight" scenario.

I flew this mission last night. Upon liftoff, I changed to WP 1 from 0 manually and all worked well after that.

I'm in the US. I'm not even close to being computer savvy. I bought it after checking with the guy who runs the IT for the company I own. He's who I got the Titan X from. The Area 51 was around $2200 with my corporate discount. Not cheap, but I could have spent more. I'm a plug and play kinda guy. I want my toys to work and I'll spend the money to make it happen. If you think I spent a lot on my pc, you'd really freak out if you saw my guitar collection. And don't get me started on my hot rods.:music_whistling:

I have an Area 51. I ordered it back in March and got it in April. I recently swapped out the dual 970's for a Titan X a week ago. Beast of a machine. I'm able to run everything on High settings with very few issues. Any issues I've had have been due to the newer updates issues. The rest of my rig details are in my signature.
