Those docs bring back memories working on fd for the tomcat. Above 35k or so typically, the f110 tomcat during stall testing exhibited 60 deg... Is it usable? No Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Strange.. At the F14 Association forum an ANG F-16 pilot talked about the F110 engine F14 were a hard fight at 250-275 ias ascending spiral. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

I'm confused. If your power excess numbers are off then how are your STR numbers? Where are your level flight numbers exactly off? Sorry for the questions I'm just curious that's all. Is it in the transonic, supersonic range or subsonic? Does DCS model ground effect? Speaking of atmosphere, what data is DCS using? The one from NASA about a decade ago? Sorry again for the curiosity, having done flight simulations for the DOD understand what you're going through. I still remember one project we're at 30 days to fix 60 pages of issues with the product. In 28 days, I dropped it down to a half a page and it wasn't my area. The lead flight physics from Lockheed was overwhelmed and I was hired to fix it all. And the rest is history.... I did all the F14 variants. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

When is HB going to be given access to model the 54 correctly?

I don't think some of you understand how to look at a Psub chart.. You can see at lower altitudes say less than 10,000 the difference between the engines aren't much however as you go up higher in altitude you can see a dramatic differences. if you were to plot the thrust curve between each engine as you go up in altitude you can see the strengths and weaknesses. The power excess chart clearly shows this. if I waa look at my old DVDs from my old flight model for both of these engines you can see the difference. I recall from memory, I believe somewhere around Mach 5 at 5000 ft there was something between 8 to 10,000 lb differences in thrust Particularly at the lower speeds of tf30 does not have enough thrust. Looking at the Mach 90 regiin you can see that the climb rates are substantially different. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Read up on the DTIC doc on the F15B wing rock to the bitburg roll.. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Err...wave drag. The F14 is lower than all of those aircrafts once over 1.2. So class that means the F14 doesn't need as much thrust to reach a certain speed. This tells you the lowly TF30 engines reached in excess of M2.4x. then again the engines out accelerated the f110 engines past m1.6 or m1.8 Another tidbit.. having a high aspect ratio (wings out) had lower induced drag thus.. lower thrust requirement to maintain STR. Thanks... What's the best VR nowadays? Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

There should be a difference in acceleration due to reduced drag. Even the F-15 -1 has a test for this. Granted, all you have for the F-14 is 1G level acceleration ... By unloading the nose, you can pick yo knots in a hurry Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

You clearly don't know how it works. FOUO/sec issues . So stop assuming. SMH Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

Look at the FF curves.. look at the Psub to get your FN. Typically. 5k' change in altitude usually adds almost 2 degrees of rate. The 14's CV seems to drop even lower speeds as you descend Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

If RL pilots came into bash one another than I really question the professionalism or their authenticity of actually being one. In my years of simulation (90s) and dealing with real life pilots they no way I act like that on any type of public forum on the internet! Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk -
