  1. Nono, get her a Nintendo Wii!! She'll love it I thinks!! :) It's also great to have bear and Wii nights with your friends. I have a friend who frequantly invites people to join him in drinking bear and playing Wii, lots of fun!! :D
  2. Very nice pictures! Thanks!! I think I'm gonna play some IL-2 now :D
  3. Yupp! Or we could just use the TV tower in LO (if it's still there in BS).. Now I can't wait to get racing!! :D
  4. A Harrier of any version would be very very awesome me thinks!! :) A Hornet would also be nice off course.. Otherwise I don't have any specific wishes for US navy stuff, except more of it in general (more than there is in LO:FC that is).. More small vessels would be nice, allways missed some little river boat for more anti-insurgency type missions in LO.. It'd also be nice to see more Turkish stuff in general me thinks.
  5. I remember that IL-2 airrace server, it was alot of fun.. Never thought of doing it in DCS though, has got to be a blast!!
  6. I like this thread!! :) Here is my take on the first scenario: It has me down to the southwest and mr wingman ready to pop up in the north of the area. Box 1: First I'll have a look up the road well before they come into threat range or turn east, I'll primarily have a look and if possible kill the Shilka. Box 2: I'll either hide or go to alternative pos 2 while mr wingman takes out targets I designated just before. Box 3: mr wingman has moved to his pos 2 ready to pop up. I'll be at my pos 2 and firing or at my alternative pos 2 in case they dropped off any MANPADS in box 1 or 2. We'll just kill them off one by one in box 3 and 4... Something like so :) What do you think?
  7. I'd also be interested to know since my MS forcefeedback 2 is getting a little worn down.. :) Interesting discussion..
  8. Very nice video as allways Wags!!! That's an excellent idea me thinks!!!
  9. I have none of the problems you describe, except that I can't reset my trims which I find acceptable since I believe you can't do that on the real thing either. With proper energy management I find it agile enough, as long as I keep my speed up.. Just go alittle easy on her :) Be gentle to her and she'll treat you nicely.. Oh I find Barometric Hold very useful while looking for targets, but if you don't keep your speed high enough, it won't keep altitude..
  10. Looks nice!! Unbelievably cheap (saw it'd cost 99$ ?) Anyone knows how it plugs in? Via USB showing basic instruments (like on the pictures of it)? Or as a small screen where you could put the abris or TV sight? I think it'd be nice to have the abris on one!! :)
  11. Sweetness! The trigger looks nice!! I don't quite understand how it works though.. :P The left one pushes the right one as well? Which is the gun trigger and which is the other? Your decision to build a CNC router is great me thinks!! One can use it for al sorts of things; Panels, molds, engraving etc etc so on and so forth.. Me and me brother are in the middle of building one similar to this design http://www.buildyourcnc.com very good inspiration on that site, he has a step by step video where he builds a quite nice machine.. You should check it out if you have'nt allready :) Also cnczone.com has a good forum I thinks.. edit: Oh, your new panels look great!!!
  12. Beautiful work on the trigger there!!! A coordinate table is great to have!
  13. I feel exactly the same!!! And flies LOVE poo-poo more than anything in the world, lol you're funny Leafer!! :D
  14. Quote from the article: The sport utility vehicle, a rental from Avis, was in part of the range where the Air Force uses live ammunition in mock combat. .... ... Commander Scott Dennis, will determine whether the soldiers were in the wrong area of the range or whether the fighter pilot targeted the wrong vehicle. End quote. I find this very funny! :P The text that is, not the accident. Anyway, good thing the guys in the SUV were'nt injured!!
  15. Thx alot for the tip on the hall effect sensors!!! I'll definetly go for them from the beginning!!! Pictures shall come!! I've nothing to show yet though :p
  16. Thx for the tip on the buttons!! :) Found a dealer here, still gets pretty expesive though... But I think I'll get them anyway. Nice pictures!! Have you planned to have any sort of "friction lock" or balancing weights or anything on the collective arm? I found a Vesa screen mount with a very good friction lock, it also provides a good base on which to build the collective mechanics :) And it was rediculously cheap... here are two pictures of the rudderpedals (please excuse the awful quality). I think I'll be lazy and slaughter an old pair of CH-pedals and use their footrests. :P Otherwise I just have to put a box on them and connect the pot-meter.. I'm planning to try some hall-effect sensors later...
  17. "Out of style"... Bah!! hehehe.. But then I love anything that flies like an ordinary plane does'nt so I'm very happy with Ka-50, Apache and later mi-24.. :) But one can allways hope... Sweet! Never saw those interviews, I'll have to look them up.. :)
  18. I doubt there is enough info available to model an mi-28 anytime soon? I think the list looks great!!! :) Very nice that we can have the A-10C also.. If a Harrier (of any version) was added sometime in the future, I'd worship ED. :D
  19. Cool! Hehe I'll get some pics up soon.. I'm not at all planning a whole cockpit like yours (currently ;) ), but I'll be building some panels I thinks.. So I was thinking about making a "pby-800-like" keypad, I think it'd be useful for alot of the DCS modules to come as well... But I have'nt been able to find any suitable buttons, (square and with LED's and labels on them) at an acceptable price (have been looking at Elfa and Conrad..). Where did you get yours? (The ones you have for the autopilot buttons, they looked very nice me thinks :) )..
  20. Sweet! Looking forward to seeing that collective brake!! :) I was thinking of using a bicycle brake lever.. Did you make yours from scratch? Also I'm very curious to how you'll build your pedals!! I just 'almost sorta kinda' finnished my pedals, but they're more like classic airplane pedals with toe-brakes and all (will post some pics when I get hold of a camera ;) ).
  21. I had no problem with that one, what kind of problem do you have with it? The game crashes on me when I try to load the "Turkish coffee" mission though...
  22. -sulan-

    Mechs...

I used to play MW2 and 3 too.. :) But I played Mechcommander 1 and 2 even more, it's a pity these games were discontinued :( I was really in to series..
  23. Just realised I have'nt posted a single time in here, allthough I've been reading alot.. Simply awesome work Trigger!!! Very inspiring for us other guys wanting to build!!!
