  1. That's true. In the A-10A's CCRP mode you are not actually "locking" a target, you are setting a targeting point or bomb impact point on the ground. Weather there's something there or not is up to you. Your bombs will drop dumb to that point in CCRP release.
  2. Since Zuckerberg bought Oculus, consider them a profit oriented company rather than an innovation oriented company. In the years to come it's very likely other VR companies with better vision will leave them scrambling just to keep up. Revisit this topic in 5 years to see if I'm right or not. :smilewink:
  3. +1 For all reasons above especially SSD issues in the long haul.
  4. This is a great example. Watch from 5:30 to 5:40 seconds in the video. You'll see a missile miss the Su-27 by a large amount then 5 sec later the plane explodes? :music_whistling: This happens far too often in 1.5.7
  5. I installed them both and it appears that the translations on the blue one are indeed the same. Thanks for the updates Devrim.
  6. I'm glad that worked for you. It seems if you don't check "Initial", the start heading on roads seems to be random. :dunno:
  7. kunterbunt, I can't test your mission... I use ver 1.5.7, but having built missions for several years I have noticed that vehicles starting on roads can easily have their starting point heading skewed by various things like just touching them with the mouse pointer. Just moving the start waypoint along the road can sometimes cause the vehicles heading, which was OK before, to change so it is no longer aligned with the road and the direction you want them to start. Check the direction of the starting waypoint on the heading indicator and make sure it is aligned with the direction of the road and the way you want the vehicles to be oriented when they first appear in the mission. Also make sure you have the "initial" box checked. Note that in the second screenshot below, the vehicles will initially move around in confusion at first trying to orient themselves to get on the road and in the proper direction to follow the waypoints. Sometimes this isn't a problem but if there's a building or obstacle nearby, I can see how they might get stuck. Correct placement Incorrect placement
  8. Thank You. Yes it is 3 months old. But I would still like someone with first hand experience to answer the question if possible.
  9. This bug has gone unfixed for years. :(
  10. Thanks Devrim, this looks good! Would you say this grey version also has more translations than your English Blue Cockpit?
  11. I've had this problem before. It just popped up one day and my port checker program said the ports were not open even though I just made sure they were forwarded. I had to update my router's (Netgear) firmware and instantly the problem was gone. Check to see if yours is showing if a new firmware update is available.
  12. Mirrors fixed in Pronin's MiG-29 mod. See here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3231629&postcount=5
  13. Got the mirrors working by adding {"Mig-29_cockpit_Mirrors", 0 ,"mirrors",true}; to the description.lua New description.lua attached below. description.lua
  14. The Su-33's enhanced turning radius is necessary for carrier deck positioning, taxiing and maneuvering. There's not much sense in abusing it on a concrete runway. No wonder you're having tire problems! Try flaps down for takeoffs that don't blow tires.
  15. Doesn't support mirrors on? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3231111&postcount=4
  16. I'm having this problem with the mod installed and mirrors on in 1.5.7.8899.335. Help anyone?
  17. Yes, but can you compare a modern Saitek USB X-55 Hotas w/throttle to Piston85's old discontinued Thrustmaster MkII joystick only? It's nowhere close to the class of the modern X-55 with throttle. Shopping for a new USB 'stick only with comparable features of the old Thrustmaster gameport MKII and you'll find several makers offerings between $35 and $50 US Dollars and used USB sticks cost much less.
  18. Win XP was the last OS that worked with gameport devices. With the exception of a hack to Windows Vista, all Microsoft operating systems after Windows XP no longer support gameport. Even if you add a sound card with a gameport, there's no longer a way to make it work. Gameport to USB adapter will work... but it will be slow and laggy and may only support a few buttons and 1 hat Centering and calibration will be problematic. Rewiring with an Arduino or Bodnar board is a good solution but may cost more in time and materials than purchasing a modern USB joystick with the same or more features of that old Thrustmaster 'stick.
  19. I could make suggestions for your server bandwidth allocation; what settings to put in your server's autoexec.cfg... but I would have to know what the speedtest.net download and upload speeds are in Mbps. Other users may also pop in here to make their recommendations as well after they see your speeds. My forum time is limited lately while I get ready for a long distance move, but I'll try to make a suggestion if I can.
