  1. I think ED has done a remarkable job upgrading and evolving the FC3 Flanker over the past few years. I'm very satisfied with what their vision is for the future of this aircraft.
  2. epoch, we tested more this afternoon in release version 1.5.6 with A-10A's and cannot confirm this for you with moving columns of vehicles. However, nearly always, moving trains are drawn in different positions for each client. My wingman says he's shooting a train, but all I see is his weapons hitting the tracks where there is no train drawn for me. Same for him... insisting that I am shooting at nothing and the train that he sees is in another place altogether. Maybe this is a Gazelle only quirk? Could you try with another aircraft or helo just to see?
  3. Perhaps a new bug introduced in the latest patch as we noticed this also with trains while flying F-86's. Doing more testing on this in 1.5.6 now. Perhaps you should report this as a bug in the proper version topic.
  4. This new effect is totally unacceptable to me. Before there was nothing wrong here, now the Flanker is, for me at least, un-flyable in this condition. ED please get this repaired immediately. I would also recommend to not spend time and resources messing around with things that are not broken. "If it's not broken... don't fix it!" Perhaps it's better to spend the manpower for now on 2.5 development, or fixing things that need to be fixed?

  8. Thanks Ghostrider142. I'm glad you enjoy these. I'll be continuing this series later in the year or early next year. NOTE: The "spawning" in on the carrier deck issue was indeed fixed by ED.
  9. Question for VKB: Is there any VKB programming software available? I'd like to be able to program macros to some of the buttons/hats.

  11. There are some great mods that do this. My favorite is Kuky's longer vehicle fire and smoke: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2642872&postcount=11 Explosions are not changed but the fire and smoke are greatly improved.

  13. Pikey got it... AI are crazy weird when you set their altitude low. Try deleting the offending flight, save the mission, then restart DCS. Now, not using AGL, raise or lower their height 100m at a time then see if they do what you want.

  17. Ironhand, you are correct. The red second hand sweep works in all Russian aircraft (I hadn't been in one in some time) it's just the white second hand sweep that's broken in the American FC3 A-10A and F-15C. I'll edit my post above and make the appropriate bug reports in the respective topics to see if I can get BIGNEWY's attention to report this. Thanks for the help in getting this sorted.
  18. The white elapsed time second hand sweep does not work in the F-15C (and A-10A) in stable release 1.5.6.4546.280 Update 2 of Apr. 21, 2017. This was also broken in the previous patch. The red elapsed time second hand sweep does work in all the Russian FC3 aircraft.

  20. Comes, there's an extra set of A-10's, "Thunderbolt Flight 2" for you use if you got off to a bad start or loose your wingmen and don't want to start the whole mission over. Simply press "Esc" and then "Select Role" and you can jump into Flight 2 and it's like starting over with two fresh wingmen except you won't loose the progress you've made so far in the mission. Mission 6 takes place 1 month after mission 5 so the defenses at Kobuleti are somewhat replenished. Yes, it is hard to make sure your wingmen attack the moving columns of vehicles and not the airbase defenses. These are a port of multiplayer missions and in multiplayer you can talk your human wingmen to the proper target. So in singleplayer try enabling "Cockpit Visual Recon Mode" and using it's features to let your wingmen know which targets you want them to attack. I'll be back at years end or early next year with more "Steel Winter" missions. :pilotfly:
  21. Certain vehicles must come to a complete stop to fire their weapons. When they do stop it causes the other vehicles in the same group to vary/change their speed and actions somewhat. Other vehicles that can fire 'on-the-move' sometimes act strangely until all vehicles are once again moving.
