  1. That looks like some seriously awesome plans. How much are you asking for them?
  2. Would have to do this every time he wanted to swap grips, and nobody knows if it will fit the F18 grip, let alone the V.F.X. and of course no analogs like the twist or thumb wheel would work on the v.f.x.
  3. Thanks!
  4. You can use conditions to bind different virtual buttons or keystrokes to press and release of physical buttons. https://whitemagic.github.io/JoystickGremlin/interface/#3_3
  5. That's a good alien doggo! Who's a good boy? You are! Nice to see some decent competition for the Kosmosima, even though I'm not personally a fan of the RGBpocapolypse.
  6. Question: Will WinWing support customers building and interfacing their own throttle (or stick) grips for more obscure aircraft by providing pinouts and other electronics construction guidelines, or will this sort of information stay proprietary? Naturally not covered by warranty, performed at own risk and so on.
  7. VKB compatibility and extension and I'm sold.
  8. Why not mod an USB fan with a relay then, no need to use mains voltage. This one is 130mm, two of those should be plenty.
  9. Seconded. I have the leap motion and want to use it to help steer my hands towards hardware buttons.
  10. With cardboard optics? I doubt it. Yeah, tracking would be a mess as well.
  11. Yeah, good luck reading in-cockpit displays and gauges with that...
  12. Not quite. TM Warthog: 20° VKB Gunfighter: 20° Virpil MT-50: 15° Virpil MT50CM: 16° Virpil WarBRD: 22° Though the real F/A-18 is +8°/-16° on pitch and +/-14° on roll, but with the roll pivot higher up so the displacement is more similar to pitch down displacement.
  13. The real one has different actuation points for pitch and roll, though. There is a choice to be made either way.
  14. Let me illustrate the difference. This is the TM Warthog gimbal (~$200 without the throttle) Just a plastic ball and socket and a large spring around it. This is the VKB Gunfighter (~$300-450 depending on choice of grip, grips are exchangable): This is the Virpil WarBRD (~$300-400 depending on choice of grip) Replaceable cams, replaceable springs, both with several options, ball bearings, need I go on? It is true that availability for VKB and Virpil is much worse than Thrustmaster, you cant just pop into a store or order one on Amazon and have it in your hands within the week. They do cost considerably more, about half again to double, but it is considered worth it to many.
  15. I would skip over the Warthog and look at Virpil or VKB. The Thrustmaster gimbals are 10 years old plastic designs, and it shows. If you want the A10/F16 grip over what VKB/Virpil are offering, you could get a 2nd hand Warthog or Cougar grip and use that (straight on with Virpil, or with an adapter on VKB).
  16. Why not turn off the anti-aliasing if you prefer jagged edges?
  17. Judging by the Kosmosima SCG I just received this concern is unfounded.
  18. Well, which grip do you have? "Gunfighter" is just the base.
  19. According to VKB, the spring numbers are arbitrary labels, not pounds force. One #40 =/= Two #20.
  20. No, not cheaper, but you'll know in advance what the price is and there is less risk of hiccups in customs.
  21. You do avoid handling fees amounting to ~10€, plus potentially months of delay, and the risk of them messing up the notification and then returning to sender, plus you do know upfront exactly what you will be paying, but yes, in that case Winwing or their distributor would be paying (and charging) the VAT. And if numbers are large enough (they are for VKB) they can save money by using slow boat transport China->EU.
  22. Not a question about wanting it or not. I'm sure it is an excellent joystick. Unless it has force feedback or something it simply isn't enough of an upgrade for someone like me to abandon the multiple grips and sticks I already have from VKB.
  23. Well, for throttle+throttle grips and maybe panels I might have been interested. Not paying for a high-end stick when I already have two Gunfighters. I'll wait and hope it becomes available separately at a later time, also when it's out in the wild and proven by independent sources. I'd be extra interested if you handle the importing and ship to me from within the EU.
  24. Questions: 1. Will you sell the throttle separately and what are the individual prices? Taurus base + F18 grips? 2. Do you plan on a "replica" panel that has the controls that are in those positions on the real F/A-18C, with the correct dimensions? 3. Do you have any other aircraft planned already for additions to the throttle?
  25. As far as I have been told the communication protocol for the 3-pin bus is a VKB trade secret. Your best bet is likely to purchase a black box and stick extension from VKB and bodge them together into a custom cable.
