The 104th are pleased to announce a new mission for our FC2 deicated server, Operation Lermontov. We hope you enjoy it and look for more new missions soon. Many thanks to 104th_IronMike for his many hours spent on this mission! Sochi 2014/15: A massive terrorist attack has cost thousands of lives at the opening ceremonial of the Olympic Games. Some claim it was Islamic terrorists, others claim it was an attack by Abkhazian insurgents that are being supported by Russia itself. Russia has therefore declared war on the fundamentalist Islamic world, including Georgia and Iran. France demanded the European Union to support Russia and has started to send massive numbers of troops to Russia to support its war on Terror. The USA, in the meantime the biggest supporter of the Islamic world, has sent its troops to the Black Sea to help its allies. Out of fear, Germany and The Netherlands met with NATO. Israel stepped on the side of Russia hoping to defeat Iran. So it is here, at the feet of Mount Elbrus, that the game of war is being restarted and old enemies oppose each other again... NATO has launched its massive Operation Lermontov – with the aim to gain control of the Stawropol region and to force Russia into negotiations. The main goal is to take Min’ Vody and secure the bridgehead at Nalchick and Mosdok, that has been won in the last months of heavy fighting. Russia has just regained control of the Taman Peninsula and is trying to defeat the remaining NATO forces around Novorossijsk. While the rest of the world is demonstrating for peace, it has not yet decided which coalition to trust. Many hope that at the grave of the Great Russian poet – who had witnessed the Caucasian war a long time ago – the world would solve a big problem in a fairly small conflict, or as Lermontov said himself: “An unusual beginning must have an unusual end.” RED TASKING Friendly Airbases: Krasnodar Krasnodar-Pashkovskij Anapa (FOB only) Krymsk (FOB only) Min’ Vody (until captured by blue coal.) You mean Cali. Please don't insult me. ha ha j/k Any screenshot even in FC2 will cause some lag, even if in FC2 you don't notice it as much. A person with a fast hard drive may not lag as someone with ancient hardware. As a client you can report to server admin someone being a wanker by taking your own screen shots of the offense, but you won't have access to another client's IP or UCID. Server admins tend to share this info, but yes, they normally do it privately between other admins. Even if the offender really doesn't deserve it. Report an issue to an admin, they can track down the offenders info and ban. Especially easy with Servman.

104th Server R-77 For Su-27 & MiG-29G NATO Mod!
104th_Crunch replied to 104th_Crunch's topic in Multiplayer
Yes, you will get the new loadouts that Wolverine made and the 104th edited in SP when you call to maintenace. Really, with a little know how anyone can customize their loadouts. Just make sure if you join a MP sever you check to see what loadouts are legal. -
Check my sig, also my new band Wicked Kick

I like to shut off the automated Head Movement by G-Force option in A-10C (Winkey+F1 in FC2/Ka-50). Then turn up the sensitivity of the Roll axis in Trackir. You'll find yourself naturally rolling your head in a bank and it is a cool sensation. Works great for racing sims in turns as well. I remember when I first got the TIR, loaded up IL-2 and did a barrel roll in trail of another plane. All the while keeping the plane in the center of my view. Impossible with hat key slewing. Never go back.

Servman 3 for now compatible with A-10C by the great Panzertard here http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=73625

Panzertard, thanks for your hard work on Servman. It is an awesome tool for the MP community. We are also thankful for you looking at Servman compatibility with FC2 stats by Moa. 4C are also using Moa's stats and perhaps others soon as well, so it will be well appreciated.

104th_Crunch replied to uzipaz's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
Go to the options screen for mapping axes. Make sure there are no duplication of mappings. By default FC2 will try to map all controllers to all axes as much as possible. -
F-15c fc2 autopilot activation in cockpit?
104th_Crunch replied to wolf_288's topic in Bugs and Problems
There is no AP indicator light in the F-15. It and the A-10 are the most stable aircraft to fly in FC2. Make sure when you turn off autopilot that you are level. If you turn off AP when in a turn for example, the control surfaces will stay in the last position! If this happens press ctrl+t to cancel trim. -
A little bird told me that soon Presing will loose this Cdt name :)

104th Server R-77 For Su-27 & MiG-29G NATO Mod!
104th_Crunch replied to 104th_Crunch's topic in Multiplayer
As you know, new trigger functions in A-10C look very promising. I bet we will continue to see great improvements that help us get to what you explain. For those having connections issues to the 104th server, we're trying something out again tonight config wise that might help us narrow the issue down. Hopefully tonight we'll see an improvement. Thanks for your patience. -

104th Server R-77 For Su-27 & MiG-29G NATO Mod!
104th_Crunch replied to 104th_Crunch's topic in Multiplayer
Nice logic. For sure ED thought more about realistic performance with FC2, than game balance, which I think is great. Let's just hope they are able to give mission designers the choice to limit weapons in DCS in the future. -

104th Server R-77 For Su-27 & MiG-29G NATO Mod!
104th_Crunch replied to 104th_Crunch's topic in Multiplayer
You are right and we have discussed this post, sorry for that. We are serious simmers, and your comment about us looking to make this sim more like HAWX hit a nerve. It is NOT what we are doing. We understand that the mod is not 100% accurate. We are not disputing it's accuracy hence you are not seeing 104th trying to say that this is 100% accurate. No need for others to argue that point. I said it in my first post that this is hypothetical, but we are not changing game physics etc. to dumb down the sim. I use the example again to compare it to this mod, Ka-50s fly for the US in DCS. Realistic? No! Hypothetical? Yes. It does not make DCS like HAWX though. Give it another try Cali. We made some temporary adjustments to the server. Please let me know how you make out so I can analyze. It easier to give a mod that is optional than to manually monitor players and the server to enforce a weapons restriction. Plane and simple. This is why I have made the suggestion in this thread that ED in the future provide the option that weapon loadouts be set by the mission. I hope they do it with DCS when the fighter module is released. The mission could enforce particular weapons for a given aircraft per pylon, and then the player would be free to choose those. That would be the ultimate. -

104th Server R-77 For Su-27 & MiG-29G NATO Mod!
104th_Crunch replied to 104th_Crunch's topic in Multiplayer
Not with file check on certain files. Unless you turn off file check, or players are forced to download a mod that matches server files. I don't think people will really notice much difference. F-15s vs F-15s, or F-15 vs Su-27. Many similarities. There is a change for Su-27 drivers, others won't notice it so much. People rarely fly the MiG-29G, and again, even if all of them are in the air that same time, can anyone tell the difference between a MiG-29G with 120B and a MiG-29S with R-77 attacking you? Of coure not everyone may enjoy the changes, but it is not a drastic change. You can't please all of the people all of the time. People have varying preferences. -

Every time someone gets killed by AIM-120 from a MiG-29G, baby Jesus cries. Just jokin. Yes, it is a bit hypothetical to be sure. If it proves to be disruptive, we can always retract it and consider it a test. I don't think many people will choose the G regularly though anyhow. Just watch out for a certain sniper from the 104th. -

In the first vid I thought, laugh it up, ha ha really funny. You almost hit the wall when your tires lost grip. Then after watching the second vid, I see that tire slip was nothing compared to what that guy can do. Amazing driving. -
104th Server R-77 For Su-27 & MiG-29G NATO Mod!
104th_Crunch replied to 104th_Crunch's topic in Multiplayer
[quote=MATT;1192710 You wanna hear my honest opinion....put the 120As on the 15s...give the Flankers ERs with longer range (longer arm vs fire and forget sounds like a sound BVR scenario ..A,F,E-poles etc etc) ... That's a good idea as well. One that we have considered. When FC2 first came out and there were no customized weapon loadouts yet, the stock loadout for the F-15 was only a max of 2 x 120C I believe. It is a valid way of adjusting balance by controlling weapon loadouts and yet not interfering with realism. A nice feature ( I like to repeat myself in the forums in case ED is listening:)) would be for the ability to customize and force lock the complete choice of payloads for a client in the mission file itself. Of course along with brining back the ability for a client to fully customize weapons per payload within the limits set by the mission. The MiG-29A NATO upgrade is just a senario meant to have a little fun with. Something special at the request of our members. You gotta consider all 104th missions never have more than a few MiG-29G on one side. The overall effect on the server is very little and the MIG-29S carries the R-77 anyway. In terms of A2G, this same mod lets you use extra A2G ordinance on the Su-27 as well. It doesn't affect player vs. player simulation.
