  2. They are not just cutting the simulation aspect from these games, but reducing the number of countries now to make it easier to remember as well? :) Nice video. Like a Hollywood movie. Looks really nice.
  3. Maybe they are resource limited so decided to focus more on MP. ED are limited and have thus far put more into SP where the current majority of their player base is. ED have been putting more focus into MP as time goes on and I am sure will put more. Maybe BI will with SP. Either way, if you build it, they will come.
  4. Then get the mission designer to make sure there are different skins! Problem solved and it gives an option. It is a good solution. Your is as well. I downloaded a mod that kills the pee (lol) on all 3GO Sues. @ mig29... Formation!!
  5. I think it comes from people coming off as elitists thinking that because you fly FC2, you don't know what combat simulation is, and you just like arcade gaming or something. Some good arguments against that here, especially Rhen, and in fact many people that fly DCS also fly FC2. I hope FC3 comes quick and it does not delay DCS:Fighter. ED are still working on the Ka-50 compatibility patch and Nevada map. Lots going on and I am afraid of delays that will mean it will be years before DCS Fighter arrives. Of course, if the workload is small for FC3 and it comes quick, bring it on! I will pay for it as a patch for compatibility with DCS and nothing else. It will give a nice graphics upgrade and more map area. ED are not obligated to give this compatibility patch. They are obligated to fix bugs free perhaps. I will pay them for their hours and hours of work to help ensure they continue giving us flight sims while few others do.

  8. I like the story IronMike came up with. I think he could give Tom Clancy a run for his money :) If we let him do it. IronMike would have made the briefing 20 pages long with story alone.
  9. Ah, I see. PvP in terms of competing mission goals. A little different than direct combat between players for ex. BVR, but still PvP and just as important. Nice work on the mission setup btw. Looks great. Ok Panzertard, back to the pit!

  12. Not a measure of success of a VFS, a measure of success of a MP server that is meant to be enjoyed by people as much as possible to expand the community. Of course that is one squad's objective, and we know others, such as yourself have other goals. Like highly detailed co-op with no shmucks around to mess it up. I am going to kick myself in the ass for agreeing with Kuky, but I said the same thing as Kuky (now I am kicking my ass lol). Yes, you can fight PvP in A-10, but it is not designed for A2A and is severely limited in that regard. Real PvP will be with Fighter Jets, and as MoGas stated, you want to encourage friendly competition and a strong player base with PvP. I am fairly confident, once we have DCS:Fighter, the number of unlocked servers will increase. In the end though there are pros and cons for locking servers. We all have our preferences.
  13. Infantry has always been fun and the flying secondary. If they could get to the level of FC2 that would be amazing. Of course DCS fidelity I can't even picture them even trying. Workload alone is probably prohibitive. If they keep the same level with the infantry, and improve on the graphics like the screens show, that will still be great I think. the one thing that annoys me is the jerky motion and warping of AI. Hopefully they improve on that as well.
  14. I just hope they improve flight model, physics and avionics to something more real.
  15. It is suppose to simulate wear. It's there in the 3GO Su-27 as well. Someone made an option to remove on the 3GO model to remove it. I hope Combatace you do as well. I personally don't like it, as if you have a multiple flight of planes they wouldn't all have the same tint. Just a suggestion. Thanks.

  20. Different strokes for different folks, but as I have mentioned before, the day DCS:Fighter comes out I will be done with Lock On. I want something new and hardcore and not the same low fi jets we have been using since 2003. There was already a very similar thread to this. Some people want the compatibility with DCS and FC2, others like me would rather the time spent on DCS.
