Same problem for me. Modules not recognized with DCS 1.5 but well with 1.2.16... Help ! :helpsmilie:

I have some troubles with my DCS 1.2.12 folders. It's a mess in some folders. For exemple CA is still located in Mods/Aircraft (normally it should be place in Mods/Tech) and if I delete it, I can't play anymore with this module...:music_whistling: My question : Is DCS 2.0 will be an update as it's normally be after each DCS update or it should be a complete new installation ? Thx

What do you mean by a clean install ? The entire DCS World ???

Hi, Before I played with CA without any problems. Since last updates I can't play anymore. I think before CA was installed in Mods/aircraft no it's in Mods/Tech. When I erase CA from Aircraft in the main menu is grey and I have to buy agin CA. When I let CA both in Aircaft and Tech the CA icon is colored, I can play but when I want to join a vehicle, I can eard the sound but the screen is blue. It's really messy ! :( If anywone can help me ! Thx a lot

Hi On the DCS World 1.2.12 Change log from USSR_Rik it was announced the possibility to choose the MIG-21 interior cockpit texture. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134819 Added custom cockpit texture support (E.g. Select Gray, Finnish, Chinese or Green versions from drop-down menu!) Which drop-down menu... ? I can't find that option after the last update... Thx Chris

Hello Buzzles, I saw your solution and I tried but it was not succefull. I think that I am doing something wrong during the fix procedure...:( In c: usernames/saved games/ I have already a folder named MiG-21. Do I have to put the new folder kneeboard in the folder MIG-21 or in Saved Games ? In the new folder do you put only the added pictures that you want to see on your kneeboard or also all the files from the default MIG-21 kneeboard ? Thx for the support !

I have the same problem. How is it possible to add more "personnal" template ? As now I can change Template 1,2 and 3 but it's impossible to add more pages (pictures) in my kneeboard ! Any solution ? Thx Chris

I have just done 4 landings with max 1000 L of fuel and no weapons ! What a difference ! :thumbup: All landings were smooth and perfect ! Thx a lot for your advices gents !!! Have fun...Chris

Mmmmm for my landing training I am starting just near the base with a full fuel of 3000 liters, no weapons. Maybe am I still too heavy for a soft landing? I will tried the same mission with 500 liters of fuel.

Hi, Since few days I perform a lot of landing mission with the MIG-21 and for sure it´s not always a success story ! :( I respect all the advices during approach and landing: - speed between 400 and 300 Km/Hr just before landing - Full flaps - aircarft nose just under the treshold during the approach But despite all these points and a rate of descend around 5m/s or less, most of my landings are very hard when I touch the runway. Advices or hints and tips are welcome ! Thx Chris

A better jet sound (during flight, not really on ground) was made by ZZZspace (ZZZSpace sound 2.0). In the file you have two very interesting sounds : PlaneWind and PlaneWindIn (Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts) ! I have reinstalled these two files after the last DCS update but the sound remain the same (as default) for the MIG-21... Is it a tricky thing with MIG-21 and sounds ? FYI I have also copied the sdef fils with the same names.

Yes, all the sounds from zzzspace are well done but at the end it's much more better than the default sound in DCS but for me it's still a lot of work to reach the true sound of engines jets... Few months ago I was again on a military air base in order to see some F-16 during startup procedure and taxi. I was placed at +/- 20 meters from the fighters and sorry but the engines sounds in DCS are really far from the reality...:( with or without an helmet on your ears ! And after 3 years on DCS it's my only bad point for DCS...because for graphics we all know the arrival of EDGE ! ;)

Hi, I am flying with A-10C and MIG-21 since few months and weeks. For me a great flight Sim must have nice graphics but realistic sounds too. For the both, A-10C and MIG-21 graphics are really great but I don't understand why, after so long time, there is no a real jets engine sounds pack available on DCS. More specially for the outside view during startup and taxi. Did you already hear the sound of a APU or an engine on grounds ? It's really noisy and painful for the ears and these sounds are really good represented in FSX but not in DCS and I don't understand why ? Here are few exemple : Why is it not possible to find the same for the DCS procducts and do you agree with my point ?

Still The problem.... I will try to fix it but could somebody give me the correct path in DCS tree for the installation of CA ? My CA is installed in two different Places (in Mods) after the last update and that can be the reason... Thx for the support...

For info, During the previous DCS version all was working fine. This evening I was on MIG-21 and the game crashed constantly after cockpit view and outside view... I deleted Combined Armes from DCS/Mods/Aircraft and after that all was fine... I don't think the problem come from my computer but more from the CA installation. in DCS 1.2.10.... were must be located Combined Arms folder (dcs/Mods/...) ?

Hi, I have just installed the last version of DCs (1.2.10.....). All my modules are working fine (MIG-21 also). But when I want to play at CA, DCs crash during the loading phase. With the old and the last version of CA (CA_1.2.10.32095.521-353.exe) Could you help me ? Thx, Chris

Of course it will take time, I totally agree...but is it not the time to take a decision for this helicopter? A lot of people don't really understand the WWII planes project and it cost also a lot of time. UH-1 and Mil-8 are nice but are not combat helos...Missions are limited. I saw a pubic inquiry some months ago and a lot of people are waitting for the magnificient HIND ! It's the most powerfull combat helicopter, known by everybody... If ED want to make money, go for the HIND and you will see the success of this module (as KA-50 and A-10C)... The engine sound of the Hind is terrible, weapons are devastating, missions are infinites...:thumbup: But ok it's just my opinion...:)

Where is the Mil-Mi 24 HIND ??? Hi, Since few months on DCS World a lot of new airplanes/helicopters were added and more are expected in the following months (MIG-21, AH-1G, FW-190 D9, M-109K, Spitfire, F-86 Sabre,...). BUT UNTILL NOW NOTTING ABOUT THE Mil-Mi 24 HIND !!!! How is it possible ? I don't understand the choice of ED. I think a lot of simers are waiting since a long time this combat beast well known and used all around the world. It's not a brand new helicopter and all the documentation concerning this helicopter should be not still classified... Belsimtek has done a wonderfull Mil-Mi-8 HIP, why not the Mil-Mi 24 HIND ? With this helicopter you can combined attack and transport mission, a hudge number of missions should be possible.... So, since few months I am waitting for the Hind and I think that I am not the only one !!! Please think about it !! :thumbup:
