DCS World - Heatblur F-14 Tomcat - Early Access First Look
Razorback replied to Jabbers_'s topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Wouawwww Thx a lot Jabbers for sharing this video ! Very useful and for me the best one so far... The F-14 will be "THE" module of 2019, I am sure of that ! -
There is one thing on what we are sure : the quality of the module ! I don't have any doubt on that...and I really enjoy the job done and achieved by ED during 2018. I just put the finger on the fact that compared to other modules in development we were quiet in the dark during 2018 and that the first released screenshot don't give us a very optimistic overview for 2019... Notting more than that...And sometimes you have to tickle this point and hopping for a reaction...

Just added a comment regarding the last Chizh Weekend News (04 Jan 19) and the status of the Mi-24 module - post #918 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3745314#post3745314

04 Jan 19 - First Mi-24 screenshot That's a special message for Matt and Chizh, Today the entire Hind community has discovered the FIRST screenshot of the "possible" and "future" Hind module. Thx a lot for that...but... are you really serious ? Come on guys.... More than a year later after the first annoucement, despite recurrent news mentioning that the Hind module is still on track and even today stating that you have certainly not forgotten about all the rotor-heads... The first screenshot of the Hind is only that !!!! That's what you really want to show to the people awaiting for this module after one year of development??? Sorry gents but I think that we deserve more than that. Maybe more details on the current status of the project...notting more. Check on the reactions here : https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=193715&page=37 You have just successfully disappointed most of the rotor-heads community! Have a nice WE, Chris

Razorback replied to Hawkeye60's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Thx a lot, that's a nice one but with a short runway... I didn't flight so much on the Nevada Map but my favorite airfield is the Nellis AB So Nellis AB template should be great ! -
VP-Airfield Equipment 0.8.2 beta
Razorback replied to Hawkeye60's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Hi, I am preparing the arrival of the F-14 module and I want to discover the Tomcat by doing training missions from a Nevada Airbase. As much as possible, I want to do that in a realistic environement. Does anybody have a template of a Nevada base with such a realistic environment/activities ? Thx a lot ! Chris -
If it's a screenshot of the current status of the Hind project, for sure..2 more years ! But indeed this is the first screenshot of the beast...Maybe not the last one in 2019...Hope so...

mmmmmm DCS World Newsletter - 4 January 2019 from Chizh DCS: Mi-24P Hind We have certainly not forgotten about all the rotor-heads! Work continues the deadly Mi-24P HIND. Using many of the same systems as the Mi-8MTV2, this project is well underway and will be a great addition to the stable of DCS World helicopters. With the advancements in our terrain technology and the ability to create much more detailed low-altitude environments, the HIND will be a joy to fly. Combining both gunship and troop-carry abilities, the Mi-24P will certainly result in outstanding missions and campaigns. Being a two-seat aircraft, the HIND will be a particularly interesting aircraft to fly with a friend online. Notting more... I just noted that a calendar was given for some projects but notting for the Mi-24, work continue (maybe as same as during 2018 ) - MiG-19P by RAZBAM will be coming later this month! - F-14 before the end of winter - DCS: P-47D Thunderbolt, DCS: de Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI, and DCS: Fw 190 A-8 Shrike : These three of these aircraft are well underway and we plan to release or more in 2019.

I just upraded my PC...Now I am ready for the Mi-24 module. In 2019...mmmm...."Inch Allah"

Simple Helicopter Collective for Fanatec Fans
Razorback replied to DEG's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I am using this system. It was created by a german guy and is not available anymore This system is fixed on a SAITEK X-50 throttle. At the end of the lever is a modified Saitek Pro Gamer Command unit. it's very effective, I use it since more than 10 years now... -

Not very cheap but... UH-1 collective lever ! DCS Kompatible software http://oe-xam-simulators.blogspot.com/2018/07/huey-collective.html#more I will definitively order this one in the future but I am still waiting additionnal info from OE-XAM -
Check ! I never played before with Israeli units. So it was correct that this model was add to the US inventory since not so long (with US camo). Maybe time to upgrade the A3 model (DCS 1.2) to an A5 version (DCS 2.5)

The M60A3 US tank is now available in DCS. I am might be wrong but it was added during one of the last update. I really like this tank and I added it in one of my mission today. But...what a disappointment for me to see how it look like ! Real basic texture and model... We are in (still) 2018 and our DCS ir running now with a DCS 2.5 version ! If it's to add such model, it should maybe better to wait 6 more months in order to finalize a nice model... The french pack is now available as an add-on and the job done by our french guys is amazing ! The ground vehicles used in the Normandy map are also very nice... We expect a better product than the released M60A3 ! To be continued...

We see on this forum a clear dissatisfaction of the community with regard to the development of the Mi-24 module. And this has actually been going on for almost a year. What was ED's reaction to that? NOTHING and "just wait and under development". High priority? hahahaha I also went through this frustration but now I know that the communication of ED does not mean much anymore to the relevance of the information given because "Everything is subject to change" ... And also noted that our discontent has remained without no reaction from Matt or from others ED developers... For 2019 I don't expect anything about the Mi-24. Unlike ED annoucement, the information provided by the third party projects are generally correct. I'm looking forward to the arrival of the F-14. If announced before the end of March 2019, I am almost certain that this will be a reality! We can thank Headblur for its generally reliable information ... unlike others... That's the hard reality my friends... Many of us dream of the Mi-24, but who are we compared to the fans of the F-18 and F-16? Let's finish with a positive note, 2018 still saw the birth of new beautiful DCS products and for that we can thanks ED. Our Hind passion had no limits but it's always be difficult to please everyone ..Hope is what makes us live! I will keep a bottle of champagne in my fridge not to celebrate the arrival of 2019 but to enjoy the day when I will spend my euros for the Mi-24 module (even a beta version lolll)! In the meantime, we can always expect a more detailed communication from ED for the end of the year... I have only one wish for 2019: to be able to fly this beautiful Hind in the Caucasus, above Nevada, in the Persian Gulf and in many other new maps that await us in the future...

And best Rotary wing wishes for 2019...

Thx Rudel !

Gents, I am building a new computer. I will simply made a copy of my C: from a 250Gb SSD to a new 500 Gb SSD. Do I have first uninstall my DCS modules via the Module management in DCS 2.5 before a new activation on my new SSD ? Is it really necessary ? Thx a lot, Chris
-
Yes at 1500 ft in the smoke/fog and clouds during 2s Very impressive...Lollll
-
AMEN ! Happy Christmas to you too !
-
Active development.... Ok, but I am from the school of St-Thomas and prefer when it comes to these things, to see before believing...
-
Gents, I just saw the last DCS movie "DCS Wold 2018 and beyond" I will not comment because I am so disappointed... I was expecting some news regarding the Mi-24 and we now have a clear reference on a F-16 module... The answer on the Mi-24 project remains WAIT WAIT WAIT (Since...pfffff to long !!) Sorry but since yesterday I don't neither anymore believe in Santa Claus nor in DCS communication !
-
I totally agree with you ! I just saw the video, rien, nada, nickx, nicht, keine rotary wing !!! I now understand why no news on the Mi-24 since more than one year ! The F-16...are you kiding me..;The F-18 is not finished yet....The F-14 is coming...what's the value of one more US modern fighter ???? For those who are waiting for the F-16...and I know that there are many of you...Enjoy ! But watch out...all is subject to change...The Mi-24 project is a good example. I remember a DCS movie with Wags commenting a nice Mi-24 landed just next to the taxiway clearly referring to this project
-
+1 I totally agree ! My yellow jacket is already ready next to me in order to start some demonstrations in the Brussels city centre ! hehehe Please Wags don't disappoint us....
-
Same choice for me. I am building a new computer for DCS and after reading some tests and comparaison between the 1080ti and 2080ti on the web I finally choose the 1080ti...

In another post, Silver Dragon is announcing the Mi-24 for 2020....just an expectation, not confirmed. I am curious to see the ED projects planned for 2019. Maybe we will get more news in their last Weekend news of 2018 or in the first one of 2019. Let us cross our fingers and hope that that is so... Hard to translate (Bengali)but a nice video on russian helicopters and Mi-24/35 in particular:
