  1. so... you have to wait
  2. Looks like VTOL to me:D
  3. Would love to hear more about that!:smartass:
  4. Looks sweet!:) Only wish we would get an invitation:(
  5. Great work so far!:) Have you considered to use the Su-33 for the viggen though? IMHO it would fit better then the mig-29, just a thought;)
  6. If you want to have 2 3d models in the same plane in clickon, you would need to combine these two planes in 3dsmax, so unless you have the su-25t max file, its not possible (correct me if im wrong). For cockpit, it is not yet anyone that has made a fully working custm cockpit with hud and mfd for lockon. The best I've seen is the Alphajet cockpit by the ADA mod guys, although this cockpit only have analouge instruments. I think the reason why its not possible to get the hud and mfd's to show in a custom cockpit is lack of tools. It sayes in hte lockon tools readme, that the tools are limited, so many functions doesnt work. However there is a walkaround, you can have one lockon folder for your own mod and one for the original su-25t. Although you wont be able to see both aircraft in the same game (unless you choose another plane then su-25t to mod your own model over)
  7. Im assuming you have the x-52? Check the saitek control panel to see if you need to set any deadzones on it. When I had the x-52, I had to set alittle deadzone at the idle possition of the throttle to be able to go all the way down to idle in the game. Its an easy fix, and your joystick will feel like new again
  8. Looking good!
  9. well, you can make it with the lockon tools, just assign canopy shine from the lockon tools to the material you use for the glass
  10. Awesome stuff!! I've been thinking about building me a cockpit with side panels and all, and what you built there is exactly what im looking for, very cool:pilotfly:
  11. IMHO I rather have DCS:A-10 on time then an updated Su-25 model, probably cause I never fly the plane :D But the model does look gorgeous, maybe it would make me fly it more with a model like that:pilotfly:
  12. Thanks for comments guys! Cya at VFAT!:pilotfly:
  13. You can use mesh smooth, as long as the model is in editable poly or mesh when exporting it. Also, for materials, only standard materials will work. Also the plugins will only work with 3dsmax7 or 8
  14. Wow! That was fast! looking really really good! +1
  15. 1. You can find the arguments used by all aircrafts in the lockon plugin for 3dsmax. Its called Draw Arguments for Aircrafts or something like this. 2. Yes its possible. The model needs to be unwraped wich means basically turning all the surfaces on the model into a 2d image wich you use to skin the aircraft. To use the stock mig-29 textures, it recuires alot of ajustments on the mapping to fit the original textures on the model. Its probably easier to make new textures for the model, but as you can see in the Mig-29 thred, Tomcats managed to fit the default mig-29 textures onto his own model. Also, since this is a 2 seater version, and the textures are for one seater, you might have to do some ajustments o nhte texture aswell to get it to fit properly.
  16. Glad your friend got it working;) For the missing parts in hte lom, its from my experiance, they disapear cause they dont have the "correct" material assigned to them. Try reseting a material, make sure its a standard material, and assign this material to the missing parts. If that doesnt help, use the material used for the visible parts on the invisible parts
  17. Ok, make sure all objects are editable mesh or editable poly. Nurbs surfaces is not supported in lockon. If that doesnt work, try to export one object at the time to find out wich object is causing the problem. If that also doesnt work, reset all materials, and assing one of them to all objects. And if that also fails, try to export the whole model to .3ds, and then import this .3ds file to 3dsmax again and try to export to .lom (again). If nothing of this works, the only thing I can think of is that the plugins or 3dsmax isnt working properly.
  18. Looks like a full shadow problem to me. Lower your shaddow setting to all planar and it should be fixed
  19. Check that the materials are standard materials only. If theres multi materials used, you will get an export failure. Also set the animation bar to -100 to 100 with fps at 100. Normal animations wont work in lockon, they have to be argument based. This can be done in the tools.
  20. Hmm, maybee a clean install will fix it? Otherwise you could try to add one file at the time and find out what file that causes the problem. Awesome model btw, and the damage model is looking, well damaged, in a good way:D
  21. Do tell!!:D
  22. Hmm I think it would be possible if you include the nav light in LOD0 and then just include the navlights in the lod models you want them to be visible in. Havent worked with lod models before , but worth a shot;)
  23. Wow! Truly amazing! Hope there will be a vid of this!
  24. The shine effect you can set in the material editor in 3dsmax. Also check what color the ambient color is in material editor. It will affect the shadow color of the plane. I usually have my ambient color the default grey color, but you can experiment with different colours for different result. Hope this helps:) Looking good btw!
