If u have different sizes on the drawings, u can easily just scale that in 3dsmax. If the drawings u have is correct dimensions, but they have different scale, theres really no big problem. For the thickness of the lines, I use to pick the middle of the line, or the outside of the line. For an accurate 3d model, I highly recomend getting drawings of different sections of the fuselage, aswell as the wings, so u can get the correct shape.

Wow, looks good!

hello, could you give us a little more information? Is the model mapped? what material types do u use? Lockon only accepts standard materials, found that out the hard way:music_whistling:

Appart from an eventual damage model, I'd say its almost half done:thumbup:

That is your first model of a plane?? Wow! You've got talent!:)

I had problems getting starforce to work with vista aswell. THe 32bit version was no prob, but with vista 64bit I had some problems. Managed to fix it though by updating the starforce drivers. After that I haqven had any probs;)

If you want to change possition of the gauges, you'll have to make a cockpit from scratch in 3dsmax. semed to be impossible to do that until the alphajet cockpit showed up, but how to make it is another issue:music_whistling:

When u have found and edited the textures you wanted to edit, you simply place the edited textures in the bazar\temp textures folder. You dont have to compress them back to the cdds file.

Really enjoyed that!

looks awesome! Just remember to animate in arguments when animating for the game:thumbup:

Well, I think that can be easily fixed with smoothing groups once the model is done. U can see that the front part of the fuselage has been smoothed out, so I wouldnt worrie about that. Oh, and great work! You work fast like the lightning!

Alright, I fixed it! man this post was useless. Unless any others have the same prob, it can be deleted. Ok, so the solution was simply to update the Starforce drivers, so u download this small update prog from the starforce website, run it, then get a box that sayes "restart to finish the installation" and woahla!:D Cya in the virtual air!:pilotfly:

Ok, I have a weird problem here. I've been trying to search around to find a sollution, but maybe im a bad searcher.:D Ok, so this is my problem: I installed lockon v1.0 with "run as admin", tenn installed lockon fc also with "run as admin", restarted my coputer, then applied the patch 1.12B (eng cd) also with "run as admin". Everything looks good, but then I try to start lockon, again "run as admin" and get a message of restarting my comp so the install can be completed, so I do as it says, I restart. Now windows wont start because appearently the patch added some files to my windows folder that isnt certified by windows or something. So I have to select the option "use last working configuration" or whatever to get windows started again. So basically im back to square one again. Anyone knows how to fix this problem? is there a setting I can turn off to let windows ignore the "uncertified" files? Here are the files that makes the trouble: Theres 3 of them located in Windows\system32\drivers\ sfsync02.sys sfhlp02.sys sfdrv01.sys Its got to be some files that starforce adds when installing the patch. Help very apprechiated!:helpsmilie: Oh and btw, I run Vista x64, had vista x32 before, and I had no probs then..

Hey, just wants to show my support, i've been keeping an eye on this project for a while, and I must say, very nice model! And it will look even nicer with skins! Just an idea, have you guys thought about adding animated nav lights? The ada guys did it, and the plane just comes so much more to life! Only prob is u cant see it on your own aircraft, only on the other players, but still its a nice effect. Oh, btw, if u figure out how to have animated nav lights, I would apprechiate if you could tell me the secret:D keep t up!

Well, I think the disco tank (:D), was more of a preview of whats possible to add, u can have complex animation of objects that light up! and I think thats very interesting:)
-

removing the russian star and Painting the landing gears

I suppose if u make a .skins file, u can select wich textures u want to be used in what skin. Although, im not sure if this works with the default aircrafts. But if it does, u just use the black tga file for your skin, and the default one for the rest. -
Wow! Very nice!:)
