  1. I don’t have any problems braking. Are you guys using full aft stick under 100 knots, along with the speed brake?
  2. They said the videos would start this week, It's only Wednesday. There's still 2 days left in the week. Have patience peeps, they'll get it out.
  3. Block 52D means the jet has 2 seats in it. C model = 1 seat D model = 2 seats
  4. Thanks Jar.
  5. Actually, they’re commonly referred to as “Big Mouth (GE), and Small Mouth (P&W).
  6. They’re called LAU-88s, and they’re no longer in service.
  7. Yes they were! Remember it like it was yesterday!
  8. That first picture must be old, because the S-210 launcher hanging on station 2 hasn’t been in the inventory for quite some time now. Edit: there’s one in the second photo also.
  9. Haven’t heard that in ages! Flightline speak!;)
  10. Yep, that's how we do it here at Luke Panther. Everything off at crew show.
  11. Thank You Sir!
  12. The sim pilot has way more room than the RL Viper has. It’s pretty cramped in there when you’re sitting it.
  13. Look at those Mk-84s! Without Weapons, it’s just another Airline! :) ....and he’s taxiing with his missile seeker head cover on!
  14. Code 3 FLCS! Meet him / her in chocks. Tow it in the hanger. :)
  15. Here at Luke, they use burner when they’re in air to ground config, (2 tanks, 2 TERs, bombs etc.), and don’t when they’re in air to air config, ( Centerline tank, 120s and 9s.). Sometimes you can see the burner and sometimes you can’t. On sunny days you can’t really see it, all you get is the heat blur, whereas on overcast days, and obviously dawn / dusk you can see it very well. Like Panther and MV said, us maintainers can tell just by looking, and you can tell it’s in burner just by hearing it too as it goes by. You can “feel” it! It’s awesome!!!
  16. It would be nice to have the BDU-50 series blue concrete training bombs on F-16 and F-18.
  17. Thank you Panther, I didn’t want to say anything!
  18. This! I’ve been working the jet since ‘93. People on this forum just wont listen to us SMEs.
  19. This! Everyone in the Viper community calls it the Viper. Everyone in the A-10C community calls it the Warthog or just Hog. Been part of both!
  20. The LAU-88 isn't used anymore. Single missile on a LAU-117 is what is used now.
  21. I still work it. Been loading weapons since ‘86 and will be until they tell me to go away old man! :)
