Yea...up to 6. I...ehh...just saw what you mean. Nevada was working great, but the Caucasus and PG map had some weird issues and less performance. I'll test some other settings.
-
Thx for the tip, just pulled extreme from 1.5 up to 6... huge change...looks awesome! The performance did not even suffer that much.
-
Yes, I just made one...F/A-18C at Kerman on the PG Map, but that also works in Multiplayer.
-
Well, I don't know the impact on other cards but I didn't notice anything.
-
No, it also works at a lower cloud density but you have to be right underneath a cloud. (Cloud Density of 8 )
-
That doesn't make any sense as the files and the game are exactly the same and you seem to have missed ED's summer sale with 50% off of most modules. I really don't see any benefits in using the Steam version, except for the connection with your Steam-Friends.

The Hornet is available in the stable and the beta branch. You can check your version number in the main menu (bottom right corner) and compare it with the numbers here: http://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com/

Was this your design idea Skate? Or did the team give you instructions? It looks absolutely awesome!

Ne läuft bei mir auch noch nicht, dauert wohl noch etwas.

I guess they just tried to give an answer to that. To answer the question if it has been released: Yes, the Spitfire is now "feature complete" The GUI is just not up to date yet.

Mission editor wheather wierd change
Nick_17 replied to bin801's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
It's not the wind speed. It's the direction the wind is blowing at. In your screenshot the windspeed is at 0 knots on every altitude. -
There are other things missing too, like the overwing vapours and the new VFA-122 Skin. I guess those things just need some more time. Remember, everything is subject to change. ( Hornet Mini Updates routhly 2 weeks ago )

Canopy rain effects
Nick_17 replied to Dr Zaius's topic in Release Version Bugs and Problems (Read only)
Well, the beta and the stable branch have the same version atm ( http://updates.digitalcombatsimulator.com ) , so the raindrop effects should be there. Make sure to enable them in the settings. -
You mean this one?
-
Can someone post the Updater-Link where you can see the current versions please?
-
@ Havremonster. Make sure to enable them in the settings, also it doesn't work with every plane yet.

This is what i changed: clipmaptextures = { colortexture = { textureSize = 4096, updateStep = 128, updatesPerFrame = updatesClipmapPerFrame, forcedRGBA = clipmapsForcedRGBA, }, source = { textureSize = 4096, updateStep = 128, updatesPerFrame = updatesClipmapPerFrame, forcedRGBA = clipmapsForcedRGBA, }, normalmap = { textureSize = 4096, updateStep = 128, updatesPerFrame = updatesClipmapPerFrame, forcedRGBA = clipmapsForcedRGBA, }, shadowmap = { textureSize = 4096, updateStep = 128, updatesPerFrame = updatesClipmapPerFrame, forcedRGBA = clipmapsForcedRGBA, }, lightsmap = { textureSize = 2048, updateStep = 64, updatesPerFrame = updatesClipmapPerFrame, forcedRGBA = clipmapsForcedRGBA, }, splatmap = { textureSize = 2048, updateStep = 64, updatesPerFrame = updatesClipmapPerFrame, forcedRGBA = clipmapsForcedRGBA, }, splatmap2 = { textureSize = 2048, updateStep = 64, updatesPerFrame = updatesClipmapPerFrame, forcedRGBA = clipmapsForcedRGBA, }, ramp = { textureSize = 2048, updateStep = 64, updatesPerFrame = updatesClipmapPerFrame, forcedRGBA = clipmapsForcedRGBA, }, tilemap = { textureSize = 2048, updateStep = 64, updatesPerFrame = updatesClipmapPerFrame, forcedRGBA = clipmapsForcedRGBA, }, } Everything else should be the same. Changing the normal map size should make the biggest difference though. -

ED SIMS SCREENSHOT AND VIDEO THREAD!!!! (NO USER MODS OR COMMENT)
Nick_17 replied to rekoal's topic in Screenshots and Videos
A beautiful view... -
Did you check your exact version number? Should be dispayed in the bottom right corner of the main menu. If you already have the newest update installed it should be 2.5.1.16543. If its still something like 2.5.0.XXX try this: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030
-
Just update the game. It should do that at least once a day by itself if you start the game or you can do it manually by starting Dcs through the DCS_Updater.exe located in C:\Programs\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World/bin/

Looking for advice on RAM or SSD upgrade
Nick_17 replied to malibu43's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The only thing i can say is once i switched from a 1TB Seagate HDD to a 500GB Samsung 850 Evo the load time of about 3 minutes reduced to about 20 secs. I can't say anything to a RAM Upgrade as i always used 16 GB DDR4 RAM but that change to a SSD was totally worth the money. Not only the loading times were significantly better but also my stutters got reduced massively! I think that everyone who switched from a HDD to a SSD will never want to go back and will recommend it to everyone who considers to get one! -
Well you can actually check the co'ordinates in google earth or maps and see the exact location of our screenshots and there is neither a nuclear crater nor a meteor impact crater. The normal craters look way different btw:

I have another one over here Co'ordinates in the screenshots http://www.mediafire.com/view/hptcnbb20robb55/Screen_180425_172758.png http://www.mediafire.com/view/ccjdkkwt39l39we/Screen_180425_172806.png
