  1. Serial # 46611 Developed problem, in discussion with TM support Rotorua New Zealand Now with 75180 Rotorua New zealand
  2. I regret I'm just being led further away from using any mod at all
  3. Devrim Devrim he's our man Looking Forward to using some of these, and thank you for putting the list together. Thanks for all your effort Mr Devrim I do have to do some work on the "Mod install from Saved Games" thing. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3236275&postcount=46 But, as soon as I have well, it's an even better list.
  4. So if we would like to use Mods, where do we find the exact same copy of the program to download and install as displayed in original post? My folder structure looks nothing like that. In my "install created" saved game folder (er's 1xBeta and 1xAlha) there are less folders, putting Mods in any of them does nothing just now. If we have to use mods in separate installs so as to not alter program owned files, why are we instructed to alter program owned files to re-direct the program to the altered files? If this does not work for your desperately needed mod, go back to altering program owned files as you were before via JMGSE. I'm more confused than ever. Can we not use mods anymore without four copies of the program install? Two installs (1xBeta and 1xAlpha) as per download and install on drive "D" Two copies (1xBeta and 1xAlpha) in "C/users/ bla/ Saved Games.......... just to use Mods? After an update or patch, do we then delete these extra installs and re-copy and install on the copies our mods? Then alter program files to the new updated redirected modsfilesthings There are mods still being made/posted/downloaded, can we not use these without being in breach of agreement when first installing program? are they illegal? I'm not concerned with IC for multi player. If you need vanilla to join in....it is what it is. I prefer to use English translation on some cockpits, some plain skins, English language on ATC rather than Russian, hud display slightly adjusted etc. Can we use them only by multiple copies of program and/or restructuring our computor drive maps with cmd prompt? (my Son (aka Sponge) forbids me to use cmd prompt) I do have an extra folder appear in there for Tacview (I didn't put it there, I think Tacview did it) It's working. Although I also have installed Simple Radio Standalone, I have no idea where that went/is. It works in game. I'm not frightened by using JGSME, I had (the neighbors great grandson showed me) been using this with some minor mods as mentioned above. But I cant use this anymore without major space usage with program copies, and I do NOT want to be doing something illegal with it. No, I'm spending too much time messing about with file searches, file alterations, copy this paste that, don't/do I wish to not have my head spinning. I will just run the program without mods for now. Will monitor forums and news until an easier solution appears. It's costing me a fortune in my Sons (aka Sponge) petrol tank getting him over here to check on things for me. Happy with this "Mod" for now.:smartass: I did that. https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3232513&postcount=88 Thank you so much for your time, I will have a coffee and a sit down. And work out how much more I can give Sponge (aka Son):bye_2:
  5. Although not a complete replacement for the Throttle Slew Control I have been using an alternative to dismantlement! I wouldn't talk you out of it, I'm not that confident to take to it with a toolkit. My eyesight is well used (abused) and the hands are a little shaky when it comes to surgical procedures. So, I use an alternative. I purchased a Logitech F310 Gamepad controller. The cost was NZ$30 (US$20) Took it home (why not) and plugged it in. (USB) Worked out of the packet, no additional software, it was seen by the game control set up. It's currently held by rubber bands and a block of wood to the left hand side of Throttle thing. I use it for the TGP slew and it works (for me) really well. Some extra buttons come in handy for seat up/down, ladder out, NVG etc. Maybe off topic, but just a thought. I will try and stick in a photo below.
  6. Oh no, it's 2200hrs Friday in my time zone. Still nothing to be seen. Ho hum, more coffee.
  7. WHAT ??????? I paid good money for these modules and what do I find????? Scratches, scuff marks, faded paintwork. the odd gauge or switch that doesn't work. I suspect these aircraft are NOT new at all. I believe they are SECOND hand! Not one of them has a cup holder. Not one of them?
  8. xxJohnxx Yes, I have been watching his vids, yeah they are very handy. He's good. Did I follow the voice over instructions.....Yes. I did have some lunch and tried again. Now, this time I went flat out..........(ish) Past the way points at (dunno) fast. Not on full afterburner, just under the first burner light. 6 maybe 650 on the fast meter. This, I don't know but, this time the way points did as the voice over said. They changed automatically. Was that what I did wrong maybe, was I going too slow? Not sure if it was the lunch or the faster speed, it's doing it well now. Thank you both for your quick response and positive support.
  9. Flying over way points (selected manually in order to navigate?) does nothing for me just now, other than direct me back to way point 1? Pass 2.....go back to 1 Select 3.....fly over it....go back to 1 Select 4.....ditto If I follow the navigation system, I'm just going around in a circle above way point 1. Ha Ha, I AM going around in circles on this one? Oh, If its broken do I get a refund?
  10. Learning about the viggen, in game training for navigation. Basic, I think its called. Listen carefully and only touch when and what told to. Off we go. The instructor tells me the way point will change automatically. Nope. Doesn't happen. It selects way point 1 at liftoff. If I fly over way point 1, there is no change. It stays stuck on 1. Am I missing something? Is that what the mission is supposed to do? Is the training a heatblur joke? That can't be. I just tried a mission editor setup, same thing? Directs to way point 1..........and that's it! Seems to work if selecting next way point manually but don't see the point in having to do that when its supposed to do it automatically. Any ideas?
  11. No that did not fix the problem. It did lead to a new set of problems. In the meantime I will go fly something else till it gets fixed. Or take the dog for a walk.
  12. Thanks NeilWillis But there is a tiny problem with that procedure "If I try in the settings menu it will not give access to stick/throttle." (columns) "Double clicking that box will open"......... sadly, no it doesn't for the moment. I will give the reset thingy a try and see if that does the fix. I will try it and be back to let you know if it worked. I took a break before and just flew around for some fun, take my mind of it. Has anyone else noticed their navigation suddenly playing up? Goes through waypoints 1,2,3,4ish then wants to go back to w1 So, I'm off to make a coffee and do the reset controls thing. Will let you all know what happens. Don't all wait around, you can go and do flying stuff while I go and do it.
  13. Thank you Mr Flanker, You have control.............
  14. Soooooo still got a Huey Still plugging away at this aircraft. I feel it's still early days, although I'm crashing with a great deal more efficiency. Through no fault of my own I have some time at my disposal and get to practice about an hour to hour and a half a day. The start up, yeah I'm using the cheat start for now. The take off, still slipping and sliding all over the airfield. Ummmmmmm, what I have done is invert the foot paddles axle thing. If the craft began to turn left or right it was taking me extra time to correct. My system (me, not the pc) appears to be wired a little different. I made that change and I now see the craft begin to turn and my feet respond in what is to me a more instinctive manor. It's working for me ? Hope that makes sense. The view settings in game by default are such that if you want to look "up" you move the hat-switch forward. I switch it around the other way. If I look up at my ceiling, my head tilts back, so I adjusted the hat-switch so that to look up, I tilt the switch......back. With the foot movements I now push forward with the right foot and the aircraft turns it's nose left. It's working for me and has helped me with the spinning stuff. Not sure whats going to happen when I fly out with a fixed wing because that's set as default and in fixed wing aircraft it's not a problem for me. ? Read the manual, have watched a lot of youchube videos, read lots of forum pages. So much so, one thing stands out......Practice So that's where I'm at. Lot's more practice. If I were to summarize.... Yeah I got it nailed, apart from startup, takeoff, flying, turning, hovering, radio communications, navigation, landing. Oh nooooooooooooo, it's got weapons and pickup hooky things. Ah well, back to it. I am enjoying this. I have x55 stick and throttle, a matching set of foot things, Trackir, Voiceattack (sometimes voice attack works really really well, then it sometimes goes really really bad. More well than bad.) (Yesterday I asked it "Track Pause".....it heard "earth extension stethoscope") Pedals not paddles. And having looked it up it's Axis not axle.
  15. Initially you think "MAN, that thing is hard to fly", but if you get your settings adjusted and get used to it for some hours it flies great and is a lot of fun. :) I have to adjust settings, Oh nooooo. Only just got it so I have some way to go. I got some paddles so getting used to them also. I remember a child's game of, rubbing your tummy/patting your head/drawing circles with your feet, at the same time. I was giggling to myself for some time during that flight thinking of it.
  16. Cheers DieHard, Happy anniversary.
  17. In my prime 65 Eligible for the pension since 9 months ago. 1st payment went on x55 controller. 2nd on Trackir. Some paid for food. Last week's on Huey.
  18. I would have placed a track but don't know how. So here's some notes on how it unfolded. Ok, no worries. Turn on the what? Where's that? Mmmmmmmmmmm, ah LWin/Home There we go, sweet as. Mmmmm ok, what does this do? Woops, don't do that. Ah ha, that's working. Maybe just a little more on the thingy thing. Ok, calm now. Just a little more on the thingy and..... Woops. Woops. Woops. Woah. Arrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhh! woah! woah! Whew. Ok, calm now. WOAH! PANIC! Whew, well recoverd. Calm now. Nooooooooooooo! Bugger, Double PANIC! Woah! Whew, calm now. Calm now. Still calm. What does this do? Arrrggghhh I told you not to do that! Woah! Woah! WOAH! WOOOAAAAAHHHH! Ah well, tax payer is picking up the bill. At least the crew walked (limped) away. After the ground crew repair, I'm counting that as a landing. No sweat, 1st flight in Huey.
  19. Ha, I must admit I still really do not know for sure. I adjusted the "Keyboard Layout" settings in Voice Attack and it resolved the issue. My PC is working on ENG US but the keyboard is English UK and American layout, but it's in New Zealand ? A microsoft wired 600, model 1576 (made in china) The "Comms" menu is now activating and the hardest part is the programming of all the options; start up/taxi/inbound/re-arm/flight commands..... Although the list is rather long it can be shortened by entering commands like Startup manually, as your on the tarmac all dressed up but going nowhere anyway. It's an achievable task, the program helps make this process easy to accomplish. I'm impressed with how well its all working. I don't have it doing everything, just the in flight key actions I was having difficulty getting my old fingers to perform. ( L Alt+9 for example) There was also the process of switching spectacles between the monitor over there and the keyboard down here. It doesn't like cheap microphones. Being able to switch views from cockpit to map is handy as all buggery at airport taxiways.
  20. Yeah, I'm back. I have found the settings for "Keyboard" in Voice Attack and had a mess around with it. That seems to be where my issue was coming from. The keyboard type and or layout. I have been messing up all sorts to find this out, so will now chuck out all my "comms soup" and set the correct keyboard layout, an start again. It is working, the backslash key is now being recognized and Comms are working. For me it just needs a good tidy up. Hope this may help someone else. And big thanks to all for your input.
  21. Hey ummmmm I'm just working on something, and spilling my coffee. I went into game controls, (In Su-25T at Kataisi I think it is) In game controls I changed the comms menu key from Backslash to number 0 Now when I ask for taxi, or takeoff.............its all working. So my issue has been remedied by changing the comms menu trigger from Backslash to 0 (zero) (keyboard top row number 0) And now it works like it does in the demo's on youtube. I have the Voice Attack keyboard option set to System Default but it maybe couldn't find the Backslash key. But it can see the 0 key....Its all working now. I will try it out in version 2 and some other planes and try to get back here and let you know if it's working there also.
  22. Running both versions of DCS. (not at same time) Windows 10 Have trouble with some keyboard inputs during play. Auto pilot disengage is L Alt+9 My fingers don't work like they used to. Have Voice Attack installed and working, I have what controls I need to "fly" programed into the controller. That's an x55. Happy with a switch to control flaps and gear etc. In flight all is working ok, the plane is responding to the voice commands I have programed in. I tripped over a video clip of someone using Voice Control to activate the "Comms" function. I thought that was a grand idea, I will do that too. Sadly I have yet to be able to get that function running. PS Thank you all for your advice and replies. I have tried it with different planes at different fields, to no avail as yet. I did get some response, that is when I ask for "Request startup" I get flicked to an exterior view until I manually activated \ before asking. I did get a response in A-10C for "Rearm" although I had to manually push the \ key first. I am getting a response in Su-25T for "Chief Rearm" I have programed in F8 F1 but I first have to physically push \ I get a "copy" and "Rearming Complete" Now if I have to program a button on the controller to activate the "" key for me, Doesn't sound like a big problem to do that. I have just done that and I can send Request to startup message, goes out but not getting response so far. Currently in Su-25T at Nellis AFB. Now switched to A10C at Nellis AFB, works with Rearm thing (manual activation of comm menu with \ key push) Request startup message is sent out, but as yet no response from ATC. That's whats happening at the moment fellas. I would like to post copy of profile but don't know how to do that yet. You have to cut me some slack on that one, Closer to 70 than 60, hence the fingers flexibility problem. Voice attack is told to send to Digital Combat Simulator Keyboard set to System Default Joysticks 1 and 2 Assigned, Enabled Voice Attack version; 1.5.12 Speech Engine System Default About to have lunch, when I get back I will try starting up in flight and try to reach ATC from the air. "Inbound" or something.
  23. Yep, says "Active Window"
  24. Really late for work now, Thanks for your reply. I'm not screaming at it and throwing a fit. I'm impressed with what it's doing so far. Just would be handy to get those "comms" working without downloading and running half a dozen third party programs to do it if possible. Will check those those boxes ASAP. Ohhhhh I'm sooooo late for work.
