  6. While driving you are constantly scanning the treelines for that telltale puff of smoke that signals a manpad launch.....and even though the launch never comes, you dare not stop because you know those bas**rds are just waiting for you to let your guard down.
  7. Nice website, no prices though; you ask for quotes it seems. Also noticed these on the site...http://www.apem.co.uk/Switch_joysticks.html There is a USB2.0 joystick interface board to program with 3 analog axis and 8 buttons or so....that could be useful. The switch guards you found look good, and there is a few different types. Let me know what kind of prices you find!
  8. I'm excited about this release...something different!
  9. This is the best stick I've used so far!! I just finished it today, and WOW is it fun to use!

  11. I tried to find them, but I think they may be rare, or I suck at use search engines. However, take a look at this site, it's given me all kinds of ideas on switches... http://mechanical-components.globalspec.com/Industrial-Directory/switch_guard_toggle How about an emergency off button for a chaff/flare dispenser?? what an easy rig to build, it gives me an idea! http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Telemecanique-Mushroom-N-O-Push-Button-Switch-XB2A_W0QQitemZ320224095620QQihZ011QQcategoryZ58169QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262 what about buying long toggles and drilling your own hole in the guard?
  12. Great looking pit Tango!! The fuel shutoff handles look properly worn! What program do you use to paint the new textures?
  13. Have you tried (or can you use) the newest Xvid codec? I know I use it to compress my Fraps vids when using V-Dub...although it doesnt compress THAT much.
  14. While in the Real World, when a conversation turns to helicopters you immediately sieze the podium and begin informing everyone of the dangers of mast bumping, VRS, and dont forget the autorotation..............while eyes glance from side to side... but you dont let up and start lecturing on ground attack tactics, entering a quick hover and how to use the trim button, then taking a detour and marveling the crowd with the benefits of Kamov's contra-rotating blades. (and the danger of a rotor strike!) The lecture comes to a halt when one in the crowd asks "how do you know so much about Russian attack helicopters, anyway?" You respond, "oh I'm just a beginner..."
  15. Heh, I think i spent more time wondering what secrets those shortcuts on GA's desktop had in them! @ Skydoc, is that a 27' Cat? @ Sharkster, good job, mind if i use that....course my wife wouldn't miss the busted beauty if i put it on a pinhead!

  20. Yes, the X52 throttle has mouse functions mapped, 2 buttons and mouse wheel. This allows you to click buttons and turn dials and knobs with the scroll wheel built in. If you want, you can also map mouse click to a button on the joystick.
  21. I had this same problem because i was running Vista and a Realtek audio card....I had to install the drivers to get my 3D sound back. If you are using vista, google the brand of your audio hardware, vista, and 3D sound, and you will most likely come across patches or drivers to help you.
  22. Thanks, I'll have to check in there from time to time!
  23. I've never encountered that error, sorry.
