  1. Sounds good!
  2. They have never stopped testing our air defence.... The only reason it made headlines this time was because of Obama's visit!
  3. Diveplane, you link doesn't work!
  4. Well, my 260core216 is awesome, but it really comes down to your processor and OS... Oh, and what else will you be using if for? (other than BS)
  5. Me too; I have the 'clutch'/i button as a shiftstate........of course I also use the pinkie as a shift... so in effect I have 9 states: or 3 modes with 3 states per button. I do too here...but I have the first detent for release weapons and the second for cannon fire, but that is in mode-2. Mode-1, my trigger is the brake and parking brake; Mode-3 is the release weapons and Emergency Release weapons on second detent.(so i can fire all vikhrs off in a hurry!!)
  6. Wow, just read partI, will read the rest later; very good read!!
  7. The trim button also centers your rudder... something that happens to me a lot is my rudder pedals will have a small amount of input on them, and it will get trimmed with the cyclic. I usually correct this by resetting trim and starting trim from scratch. Even a small amount of trim on the rudders can turn your heli in an autohover. Also, I've noticed my saitek pedals will not always be centered at the beginning of the flight; even though they are physically. To counter this i usually fully deflect the pedals before starting the sim....it seems to work. What I would really like to do is build a set of forcefeedback pedals!! Anyone know how??
  8. Heh, just tried the trim force at 50, and felt it was a little weak, got it at 70 now; I like it much better than 100!! Now there isn't that big kick when i make a large trim...
  9. I have the trimmer at 100, but I mated my X52 stick to the MSFFB2, and its a little heavier, dont know what difference a lower setting would make? I think the trimmer function is going to be worked on and changed in the first patch so, will be interesting to see if there is a difference.
  10. Nice setup! What is the heart of your cyclic and collective?
  11. yeah, i need better clips... i think mine is better than default in cockpit by far though! Of course I've come to realize that my sound system is not high end, and the mod may sound different on my comp than everybody else's!!
  12. Thanks....I'm actually working on this again in my free time, to try to improve it even more....What I really need is quality audio of a Ka50 flying and hovering. I find my audio clip a little 'tinny'!
  13. Brilliant!
  14. So much of that article reminds me of what ED is going through now to bring their product to us... I used to think that ED's efforts to make this series fly (forgive the pun) was akin to juggling chainsaws while reciting poetry on a unicycle..... Now I know that it is just like that, but they are also playing chopsticks on the piano while juggling, singing, and balancing on the unicycle. Oh, and when is DCS:A10 coming?... When it is F@^#$@&& done!!!
  15. Yep, im doing that right now as well.
  16. There are two fans wired on the op's helmet... Very cool idea!!
  17. I need more cable because: 1. I mated my X52 with my MSFFB2, and that took up about 6" of cable, and 2. I need to be able to put my HOTAS aside for the wife/kid/company or whenever I need two chairs at the computer. Thanks for the reply's fella's!!
  18. Does anybody have any idea where i can get an extension for the cable between the x52 and its throttle?? its a 6pin, round connector(like an S-video cable) If I cant extend, does anyone know where i can order ribbon cable to build my own longer cable? any ideas where I can get that kind of materiels?!
  19. I programmed a macro with 'CNTL-F11' and immediately after 'NumPad-.' (decimal) so that my 'drop cam' will imediately lock onto whatever vehicle i've been viewing. 'Alt-F2' is also a handy view.... personally, I have a X52 setup just for camera viewing!!
  20. If i was gonna drop that kinda loose change, I would just get my pilots licence and save myself the hassle of shipping to NorthAmerica!! Very nice simpit Ryan has done though, I will give him big credit for that! Wouldn't you love to get your hands on the 'trim' version?
  21. New Rotor Sound Here is my Improved Rotor Mod 2.0! Much improved from my previous efforts... The deeper sound is a modified version of the original, but much more bass added. The 'rotor slap' sound is from a video clip of a real Ka50, and it has been altered to beat at the same frequency of the original so that there is no distortion of sound. Youtube clip: And here is the Modman compatable zip: http://www.mediafire.com/?yjzwurn5bzg All feedback welcome!
  22. Yeah, I wouldn't mind so much if they would at least sorta cater to the 'hardcore' crowd, or whatever they label somebody who likes the cockpit view...
  23. Hold CNTL and zoom in out for close up stuff.
  24. No, it is not default with Vista64, it is freeware i believe... There are a couple files i've edited with notepad, this being one of them, but for the majority i use N++
