  4. Can you guys explain what happens to Boresight mode when the HMD is on? The symbology for Boresight/HACQ/LACQ does not appear when you look straight at the HUD or when the JHMCS blinks.

  11. It's aligned before each flight, and should be at hud level. This picture was taken with no Track IR or VR (and ofc - centered view), and shows the offset downwards. As it is right now you have to raise your head to point accurately which seems odd.

  14. I wouldn't worry. Bel has this implemented for their F5, so it will probably make it for the hornet (the wing tip flutter). It's just not at the top of their list.
  15. Since this was apparently not clear, and the thread was moved- I made this video to showcase the issue (Watch the stick inside the cockpit. The weapon select switch moves back as I hit PB3. This is, as far as I know- the only moving switch on the stick ATM): I understand the confusion, but this thread really belongs in the bugs subforum. This is not a controller issue.
  16. It's not. The bug is not the result of duplicate keys. It triggers the animation (the switch on the stick moves when you hit PB3) not the function.
  17. The weapon select switch will move to the back position on the stick once you press PB 3 on the right DDI. Steps to reproduce: 1. Press PB 3 on the right DDI while observing the weapon select switch on the stick. 2. The switch will move towards the pilot each time you press PB 3.
  18. When switching from magnetic to true heading or vice versa, the moving map on the HSI also moves. This made me think my flight plans were inaccurate, when in fact it's the map that moves a couple of degrees together with the compass rose, instead of just the compass rose (and a few other elements like the course line?) moving a few degrees. Currently, the only accurate way to display flight plans on the moving map is using true heading.

  20. Hi guys, I read about magnetic and true heading and there is still something I do not understand. Why is it that my flight plan sequence is presented accurately on the HSI moving map only if I use true heading? Why is it not like that in the A10C? (flight path is identical to the editor) Here is a picture to show you what I mean: true vs magnetic
  21. Posted on today's (12/9) changelog: "HSI waypoint will be in correct location on moving map". However, every issue described in this thread, including the drifting and wrong placement of the waypoint icons on the map is still present. For the drifting you can check my video posted . For the icon's location error take a look at this flight plan, vs how it is presented in the HSI display

  24. Just because it's like that in DCS doesn't mean it's true. IRL start-up clearance is really not a common thing. You start communicating once you can taxi.
