  1. Thanks for the info :) I was asking because it is said to be a 3 stage switch in the campaign (mission 3 - AAR training). @ZHeN - the difference between the states is that in 'ravitaillement nuit' (night refueling) the AAR lightning should turn on. If that's the case, and the switch is going to be a 3 state one, what's going to happen to the AAR lightning switch?
  2. At the moment its a two states switch, but the writing next to the switch implies its a 3 states switch. (Arret, rvt j, rvt n).
  3. Hi guys, I am about to start mission 2 - and I found out that the same issue described here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=178280 also applies to the details page in mission 2. The starting position of the airplane is in lat long (N 41 37 33 , E 045 02 16.), and it should be in Lat Long Decimal. I guess this should be checked in the other training missions/campaign, since the same issue may appear in more missions (in the dialogs or in the briefings).
  4. You are correct, it also appears in the details page before the mission starts.
  5. What I mean is- the instructor tells you (its in the audio dialog) to enter the normal lat long coordinates ( you can get those by pressing F10), not the ones in the required format for the ins (F10 + alt Y ). I dont think changing the map to display lat lonng decimal will have any affect on the dialog itself
  6. When the coordinates of the plane are given to the player, the format should be Lat Long Decimal (DD:MM:mm), at the moment its Lat Long (as seen by pressing F10).
  7. @CrashO, @metzger thanks guys, I will do the required reading and learn more. I get that you need to convert the coordinates, it's just that the only place I found any info on this was chuck's guide. The reason I got confused is because I never read about it in the official manual, and it wasnt mentioned in the official training missions. Did any of the devs mention that? ignore the above- I just found that line in the official menual. Thanks!
  8. Hi guys, the guide describes converting the coordinates you get from the map (F10) to mirage ins format (seconds converted to presentage - on page 103). I cant find any info on this in the official manual and it got me really confused, can anyone explain this conversion to me?
  9. I think the first mission (cold start) is missing info on the audio warning switch, and backup adi switch (usually both are turned when you start the plane), and uncaging of backup adi and adi.

Would love to (just curious what else to expect from this great plane) hear about that aswell.
  11. I would personally like to see an advanced, multi-role, two seater plane coming from ED (I like the multi-seat functionality, this is really where DCS shines IMO). So maybe an F16D?.

Still cant uncage backup ADI on cold start - anyone else having this issue?
  13. Well, ED does not share code progress with us. OFC screenshots can only be made when the systems are fully coded and (some what) complete. That's my point exactly: if the hornet early access was anywhere near, ED would publish at least some screenshots in which the HUD or MFD's are turned on.
  14. Thanks ED for delivering a clear messege on your priorities :) personally I am not too thrilled about ww2 planes taking top priority, but I am glad you shared the info. Also, I think I won't buy any more tickets for the hype train and start following this simple rule : no screenshots? no progress.
  15. I hopes ED could clerify what happened last week with the russian forums, but- oh well... question on the user markers, as this appears acradish- can those be limited in the mission? (no markers at all or markers visible only to the player who put them on the map?)
  16. In the recent updates, we got more info on WW2 content than any other project. (I honestly don't mind, even though I was confused by that, considering the A10C - a modern plane- is their best seller iirc) My question is- are they more focused on the WW2 stuff right now? if so- do you think we might get info on SOH next year during the hornet's development?
  17. I don't think so, I mean- if its input related, then shouldn't the knob itself move in the wrong direction?
  18. @david.blind - you are right, I had no idea since I use the mousewheel for this knob. This happens when the hud altimiter selector switch is set to SELH, and its visible on the hud. The minimum altitude knob itself is moving in the right direction when this happens. you have to move it slowly to notice.
  19. Hi guys, The minimum altitude selector knob is bugged. Sometimes when you increase the value it decreases by 10 feet, and sometimes when you decrease the value it increases by 10 feet. For me, this happens only on one point of the scale but its not always the same one - for example (when I increase the value four times starting from 200 feet): 200,210,200,210,220 ( it might also be 190, 200, 190 ,200, 210 - as I said, its not exactly the same everytime it happens)
