  1. The threat indication (06, 02 , FS and so on) which is placed in the center of the new sam threat circles, appears like the AMPCD symbology. What does this mean? 1. AMPCD brightness knob controls the brightness of those symbols too (while appearing on the DDI). 2. The font is the same as the AMPCS font (bright green, with black stroke). This is noticeable when the sun hits the back of the cockpit (visible in the attached image below. Watch the FS and LB symbols on the RDDI). You can easily spot those bugs in the track attached AMPCD SA threat symbols.trk
  2. Activating D/L also activates TACAN When activated via the UFC, D/L also activates TACAN, which then cannot be turned off on its own (requires turning off the D/L). The track is attached. DL activates TACAN.trk
  3. Range. He doesnt have to be spiked/locked by the threat like in SP
  4. The waypoints we can add right now are not accurate enough for a pinpoint bombing run (might be something to do with some bugs already reported), and I think that's what OP is talking about. Precise waypoint entry mode, MGRS, and O/S WP are going to make bombing a lot more convenient, and I hope we hear more about those feature's development in the future.
  5. Attached a track displaying this minor bug. FPAS hides WP name.trk
  6. +1 What kind of track can help the devs the most here?
  7. Can we get an update on this? Is this a bug or the way the system actually works?
  8. As far as I can tell you are flying too low for it to arm itself.
  9. This was added in today's update to the open beta together with TTMR timer (will require a target waypoint). Check it out.
  10. Fly over it and check if the plane's movement has anything to do with it. I've been struggling with waypoint drift/misplacement since launch
  11. +1. Especially near the canopy bow
  12. You are correct, it should be displayed regardless.
  13. Yeah, I had a feeling that's the case, but no actual sources. Thanks for confirming!
  14. See attached image
  15. I'm sorry but I don't understand you. The video shows a system that doesn't exist in the real plane. You only enter the code in the TGP's settings, and not in the stores page, and that is for your laser and not the bomb's guidance kit. You drop this bomb just like any other dumb bomb and the plane doesn't know and doesn't care what code are you currently going to use to lase.
  16. It isn't. You can't do that in the real plane. The code is set by the ground crew.
  17. Apparently, when you name a waypoint in the mission editor this name will be displayed on the HSI see image. 'TEST' is the name of the waypoint as you can see on the top right corner. However, when you box 'Waypoint' (PB11) and the fuel remaining info from the FPAS appears, it overlays the WP's name which makes the FPAS information unreadable see image. Again - watch the top right corner of the HSI
  18. That's exactly why I'm reporting this. Here the hornet has no weapons, and still with HUD as SOI and in A/G mode I'm able (by simply using weapons release) to access this mode, which allows me to designate a target. There are no ball and chain. This is not CCRP related. If I have a weapon on board, and I select it and then deselect it (going back to square one, as shown in the track file ) I will never be able to access the mode mentioned above. This is why I'm reporting this. @Jameswfm - can you designate with your hud the same way, or you can't at all?
  19. The same happens when you load AGM-65G's only, and those missiles don't have CCRP/CCIP. As I said- I didn't select any weapon (check the track) and was able to designate a target using the hud (no ball and chain symbology involved)
  20. I can acquire a lock with GACQ. The problem is that after I lose my lock with GACQ, this mode is gone and I can't get it to reacquire automatically
  21. When you switch to A/G mode, have no weapons selected, and set your HUD as SOI, you can use WEAPONS RELEASE to designate a target using your hud (can be slewed with the TDC). However, when you select and then deselect an air to ground weapon in the stores page you can never designate another target again that way. Track attached (after selecting and then deselecting one of the bombs, I hit Weapons Release again but can't get the target designation to work). Looks like an edge case, but I would love to hear more from the devs. HUD Target designation not working.trk
  22. Hi guys, I was wondering if this is the way it should be - or something is a little off with ACM modes at the moment. Here are a couple of issues I'm having: 1. I can't get VACQ symbology to appear on the HUD. Every other ACM mode works, but the dashed lines don't appear on the hud while using VACQ. I can tell the radar is scanning properly, it's just the hud symbology itself that is gone for me. 2. If I lose/undesignate a target while in GACQ the radar will return to a normal 5nm scan, and I can't reacquire the target automatically. The only way is using any of the ACM modes. However, if I want to get back to the GACQ scan pattern the only way is to select the gun again. Is this how it is supposed to be? Why is GACQ gone after I lose a lock? In addition to that, GACQ does not appear on the hud anymore.
  23. Mav 'IN RNG' cue on the Hud spotted in the East coast video. Legacy Hornet has this as well. I wonder if we will get it.
  24. I edited this post shortly after. Had no idea Weapon Release was not meant to do that, but that's what it does in the sim at the moment. In DCS, as it is right now - once the hud is your sensor of interest (and you have no target waypoint already designated), you can either use TCD Depress or Weapons Release to designate a target to release a bomb in AUTO (assuming you have a bomb selected on the stores page and you are in A/G mode). That works for me every time. I would love to hear more about this from you and I hope ED can further improve this in the future if it's not accurate.
  25. Yes you are wrong :). 1. Master arm ON 2. A/G select 3. select a bomb and configure it to drop in AUTO. 4. HUD SOI (sensor select forward). Ball and chain should now appear. 5. WEAPON RELEASE (this will not release a bomb, but will designate a target. Use this or TDC depress).
