We got some today!

https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=220976 Reported this also :) It matters and should be fixed when ED finds time. No rush.
-
I wouldn't worry. Bel has this implemented for their F5, so it will probably make it for the hornet (the wing tip flutter). It's just not at the top of their list.
-
Since this was apparently not clear, and the thread was moved- I made this video to showcase the issue (Watch the stick inside the cockpit. The weapon select switch moves back as I hit PB3. This is, as far as I know- the only moving switch on the stick ATM): I understand the confusion, but this thread really belongs in the bugs subforum. This is not a controller issue.

When switching from magnetic to true heading or vice versa, the moving map on the HSI also moves. This made me think my flight plans were inaccurate, when in fact it's the map that moves a couple of degrees together with the compass rose, instead of just the compass rose (and a few other elements like the course line?) moving a few degrees. Currently, the only accurate way to display flight plans on the moving map is using true heading.
-
That's what I thought. I have no idea if that's a bug or not.
-
Hi guys, I read about magnetic and true heading and there is still something I do not understand. Why is it that my flight plan sequence is presented accurately on the HSI moving map only if I use true heading? Why is it not like that in the A10C? (flight path is identical to the editor) Here is a picture to show you what I mean: true vs magnetic

Posted on today's (12/9) changelog: "HSI waypoint will be in correct location on moving map". However, every issue described in this thread, including the drifting and wrong placement of the waypoint icons on the map is still present. For the drifting you can check my video posted . For the icon's location error take a look at this flight plan, vs how it is presented in the HSI display

Works fine for me. Attach a track so we can have a look. Also- it's called AMPCD.
-
I see painted helmets (Squadron logos) in nearly every cruise video on youtube.

Just because it's like that in DCS doesn't mean it's true. IRL start-up clearance is really not a common thing. You start communicating once you can taxi.

[FIXED INTERNALLY] Waypoints position is wrong on the moving map
BarTzi replied to diditopgun's topic in Bugs and Problems
Is this the same problem described here? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=210829 -
1. Yes you can via the mission editor. 4. He is talking about the way the symbol moves on the hud- which is indeed hard to use
-
They (USMC) use it only when operating from ground bases. Carrier ops planes (USMC or NAVY) use ATFLIR.
-
Thanks man. As of today this is still an issue. I hope they fix it soon, because it's making the moving map (which was a launch feature) very hard to use.

[AS DESIGNED] - Pass out when on the ground
BarTzi replied to jwflowersii's topic in Bugs and Problems
ED made it so you are starting with your mask on at all times. Following NATOPS here will kill your pilot :) -
Something like the issue described here? https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=210829

Can't get my head around bort numbers textures. Anyone got a guide / video explaining how to make those?
-
Hi guys, First of all I'd like to thank ED for adding so many new visual effects to the sim especially with the release of the hornet. I know the plane is still WIP, and that everything is subject to change- which is why I ask to consider toning down the visual effect for the fuel dumping. At the moment it seems too much, or more like a smoke trail than actually dumping fuel. I found a couple of real life examples of this: I know it's not the same airframe, but , and here is what appears to be a legacy hornet (not actually dumping while AAR, but the fuel is soming out of the same system)

Hud left DDI and AMPCD sometimes reboot when I start the left engine
BarTzi replied to BarTzi's topic in DCS: F/A-18C
Why doesn't it happen all the time? It did in my track, but did not when I tried the cold start training mission. -
Click and hold, and then type the new azimuth via UFC.

It's coming but don't count on it to save you. The more elements you have displayed on the HUD, the less RWR info you can show (unless you force the hud to be one one of the degraded modes). IIRC when you are in Aim7 mode you can only see 2.
